I love tinkering. Keep it up. It is always successful because you're learning what works in the real world. I will be checking back with you to see more ideas come to life.
I think you should revisit this idea, but using the original head unit and using hard pipe to link the motor to the dust separator. It will take less work and would be more approachable for more people.
Great build, I have a similar shopvac, while I won't build exactly what you have, I am keen to build something where I can swap to a larger collection canister now.
Never paid for views for this video. And just to be clear, I only used RUclips promotions on one video just cause I was curious to see what would happen and I didn’t spend much on it.

Thanks me too!
Great project. I like the idea! May design something similar for an upcoming outfeed/workbench build
Thanks!

The hard pipe is a good idea, i’ll make that change. The original head unit might work, have to think on it.

Noooo don’t use GPT4 for unit calculations it’ll give you somewhat right answers until the time it royally screws you over 😅
Haha, I’m careful about it
Use a drum
Get rid of the flex pipe. No reason if the parts aren't moving relative to each other. It adds a lot of friction.
Not a bad idea.
Should have just bought a dust collector. Harbor freight or a used one.
This should be a video about how to pay for views ha ha

You’re clearly drinking his cool aid Jim Jones considering the number of videos you comment on
