    • @LifeinThailand777
      @LifeinThailand777  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Gary. The dogs will be locked out of the garden / house plot so I guess it’s up to them if they go into the kennel or not at night. They already spend all day running around the farm, I reckon as long as they still get my attention they’ll be happy dogs 😅
      It was quite difficult bringing our small dog here from Uk, but I think it was made harder because was middle of covid lockdowns when she travelled. She needed certain immunisations from Uk vet, as well as neutered and ID tagged. After all this was done, we paid a company to arrange the whole thing, which inc collecting her from our address in the north of England, driving her to their facility near Heathrow, taking care of her for 3 days before the flight. Anna was already in Thailand at this point and she met her in bkk airport. I reckon quite a traumatic experience for dogs, but as all dog owners know, she’s part of the family. There’s no way we could have moved to Thailand without her. Hope this helps Gary 👍

      Wow it’s -17 there? Crazy. Yes we will plant vegetables in the flowerbed (once I’ve finished making them) and also once I’ve built the house for the dogs to sleep in. Problem currently is we lock up the front gate once it gets dark and it’s not opened until about 6am following morning. And so for all that time the puppies are locked within our garden / drive area, and they ultimately wreck anything that’s not made of concrete 😅.

He gets bored when the projected is about to finished and he leaves one thing to do. He never does it or if he does it , it's rushed and all messed up.😱. We have been in this house for 25 years. For our new house, we are hiring proper contractors. Because at my age, I am done with his nonsense.😂. Good luck man. Don't rush too much, I think that is where the getting tired of the project comes from.

    I find it strange (or a rip off) that at many rural “ma & pa” restaurants they’ll supply free containers of water- even free ice; meanwhile, the more expensive restaurants ( local or franchise) will change for a small bottle of water. And the other rip off is the 20 baht for a small bucket of ice which is really worth 5 baht of ice. Do I sound like a Cheap Charlie?555

      The deeds are in my wife’s name, which I know is a bit of a hot topic. We have an agreement between the pair of us that safeguards me should something go pear-shaped in the future. We’ve been together for 13 year, the first 10 of those in the Uk.
      I would think very differently about building a house here if Anna had never left Thailand, and I was the one with all the money. My biggest advice is not to put all your eggs in one basket, just in case things don’t work out 😇

    • @morgsta0676

    Even though chickens are on your land, there's a good chance you'll still be blamed for the chickens being killed by your dogs. Keep a lookout for your dogs. They still be eating dogs in some of the Villages in Thailand. I've heard stories by the locals of people's dog's being stolen or come up missing.

    I was just wondering about mosquitos in Thailand and how bad they are. Is it possible to buy DEET free repellent or do you need to bring something like Incognito from the UK?

    • @LifeinThailand777
      @LifeinThailand777  7 месяцев назад

      TBH we don’t have much of an issue here with mosquitoes. They love still water, and although we have a lot of canals and ponds around the farm, we also have plenty of fish, and they eat the mosquitoes and their eggs, which they lay on top of the surface of the water. Aside from that, we use spray if we’re outdoors after dark. It’s all good 👍
