As a Switch player, I am I credibly disappointed that they still haven’t patched it. They released a patch yesterday, and it seems like they didn’t even touch fixing it.
It’s funny the first few times, but now it’s just annoying.

This reminds me exactly of when I played MK on Super Nintendo and then played the Gameboy version. I still havent fully recovered from that experience.

Other things to keep in mind for switch: Invasions isn’t finished, and even combo trials isn’t finished (there are some characters with only lesson 1). Also, it’s hard not to get the floating head brutality in switch.

For some reason, that Scorpion error and not getting the keycard error always shows up when you first play Invasions mode on switch but once you reset the game, it just fixes itself. A lot of the games issues are just fixed by just resetting the game weirdly enough, which is fine for me since this games starts up way faster than mk11 on switch.
@@GamerTimeNinja oh I wasn't talking about that. Like season 1 of invasions isn't finished on Switch and there has been no further update from WB (since launch day) on when it will come. Just in a "matter of weeks" almost a month ago.

I think the reason why the switch version of MK1 looks and plays like this is probably because of how much storage space it comes with, so a few things like graphics needed to be scaled down in order to fit
No the reason is obvious, it is not next a gen console. The software is too old to support this type of game.
That sacrificed graphics for fps. Surprised they even managed to get decent fps. That is if the biggest lag spike doesn’t hits lol

I actually think the Switch Port looks REALLY good, it reinds me of Old-School Runescape, which is ALWAYS a Plus when it brings back old nostalgia.
But that doesnt warrant the price, the lowest of low quality, and lack of content compared to the other platforms.

I already did it, and it's slightly faster on PS5 than Switch. On PS5 it's 00:08:95, which is slightly faster than what CAGED got on Switch 00:09:02

@@coolinytNope, that's because nobody bothered to actually time the animation until CAGED did it for Switch, once he did it I also did it for PS5. People are just use to things like these to be instant so if it's even one second longer than they are not gonna get the same feeling unless you add another factor to break the illusion. In this case, a clock. It's all in our heads.

You didn't even experience half of the issues that the switch version has. The graphic quality and the long load times are only some of the issues. Currently, it's an incomplete game, there are issues with many projectiles, matchmaking on ranked is terrible and the lag, so much lag.
just yesterday a patch update was released for the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 12/1 so chill the fuck out with your whining and bitching about the "bad" graphics
dude i have MK11 for switch and it does not look anywhere near this bad. the fabric and armor look good and realistic to me. the faces look fine. obviously i wish it had higher definition /pixel density. but we’re also dealing with not-so-powerful hardware. the characters look plastic here in MK1, yikes.

They released a patch last night that adds the rest of Invasions, makes the graphics SLIGHTLY better, and I’m pretty sure they also foxed the head floating glitch (both times I’ve done it, the head has fallen, so…)
This game's so much creepier on the switch than it is on consoles with higher quality graphics
Nostalgia of how Mortal Kombat looked at the arcade versus how it looked at home
Other things he didn't come across:
1) Some stage the frame rate drops and you fight in slow motion.
2) At least for me, when I do Rain's roundhouse kick my opponents clothing always seems to stick to a pixel.

yeah have been playing switch version. dont have a ps5 or a xbox. so was my only choice besides "prey I won one" "someone gifts me one" or "money falls into hands for no reason"
If you thought the floating head during the uppercut brutality was weird, it's because you didn't get the floating head + stretching face combo lol, funniest bug I've seen in a while.
That said, the patch they released like yesterday or the day before apparently removed it. Sad.
It ctually looks kinda good. I can't wait for the Switch model version of Omni-Man.
You should watch the end of a tower (where your fighter and kameo foght shang tsung and quan chi)
It just didn't need to be a straight port. They could have change the menu to be more stationary, they could have did like MK11 and make the character select screen just images.

I at least appreciate Netherealm to even put this game on Switch. Albiet its forthcoming, its still the full game, no content is left out and the framerate is at least around 60. It still stutters but you can tell they wanted this port to be as smooth as console. Cause remember, this is a handheld, a console you can take anywhere and isnt a steam deck. And I really appreciate that, I hope this game gets better updates so it can be on par with the Mk11 port.
It's just the load times that bother me the most... I hope they fix it soon.

Because the mobile games are specifically built for mobile. This port is trying to breakdown a console game to fit into basically a mobile size.

Idk who the hell plays on a switch, I stopped playing on that thing after my 3rd Joycons started drifting and had to replace them, must be awful to have those Switch Lites, where the joycons aren't detachable to replace them easier, what were they thinking.
