I like how they chose to have you fight all the variations in the Armageddon section because that was the create a character game. It almost makes all of our characters we made canon in a way.
I now wanna see a Kreate-A-Fighter update in the future

The Havik in the ending seems to be the original timeline Havik, not only because of his appearance but also his vocal performance being more in line with his original than in MK1

It is 100% the original Havik
He even has his morning star, which is what he used to kill Jax.
I don’t know, the original Havik voice sounded more composed and was deeper.
That being said, yeah, this one’s still more in-line with the older portrayals than his new era variant.

Funny thing about Female Scorpion, she actually has her own 'Get Over Here!' Voiceline
I bet that this Female Scorpion is Harumi Hasashi from Quan Chi's timeline (according to the Invasion lore). Though Quan Chi eliminated the Scorpion in his own timeline, this did not prevent for another Scorpion to appear - and that's Hanzo's wife.
Can't believe Ed Boon hired entire Sonic fandom, gave them full access to MK roster, and told them to create as many recolor "Original Character donut steel" to then use them as fillers for all alternarive timelines good and evil versions of all of the characters. What a legend!

To be fair, there wasn't really too much they could do with Li Mei, since the main course of her Story Arc was the redemption.

Now that we made it to the end Id like to say that this story felt like playing Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon all in 1 game. But can't wait to see what happens next
Wasn't MKX set after Armageddon technically? So maybe the Aftermath story would be loosely based off of that story
@@belovedwarrior3192MK9 was the game after Armageddon, but they did a time travel thing where Raiden was back in the past to avoid what could happen in the future, only for Armageddon to happen again in MK1.
@@LookItIsHope I forgot about that. But I think between MK11 1 we have basically worked our way back to where things were before the reset caused by Kronika. So after MK1's probable Aftermath. We will probably brand new stories that don't reference previous ones

I love how Liu Kang tells Shang Tsung, “There is nowhere to run, Shang Tsung. Nowhere to hide”, which is close to the dialogue Liu Kang tells Shang Tsung in the 1995 MK movie🐉
If you breakdown the main story events, you'd notice it starts with the deadly alliance, followed by deception (the Damashi part), and ending with armaggeddon. Nice callback to the 3d era trilogy.
Oh my gosh, that ending with Lui Kang at the table with everyone was so good I can’t wait for Mortal Kombat 2
Bro has to take a moment to absorb all the different mash-ups. Also, Havik being a main villain not just a jobber is a really nice treatment for him.
i absolutely love that at the end, liu kang just says “yea, im just going to help scorpion” hopefully scorpion has a big part in the extended story dlc

Instead of the variants being DLC, I would love if they let us make our own Kombination Kharcaters to use in Kasual mode and local VS. It would be awesome to see what kind of interesting variants we could make: Havik+Reptile, Ashrah+General Shao, Johnny Cage+ Liu Kang. The possibilities seem awesome.
Fun thing, those fighters that you fight is is actually a random fighter from a select pool, so you actually need to do this chapter over and over again to see them all. There's actually 28 of them and it applies to the battles that you do when you go up that structure. Out of the 28, 23 of them are fusions of two characters and 5 of them are Gender-swaps. The names of them are pretty interesting in varying levels. Some that stand out to me;
- Klockodile - Geras x Reptile
- Quan Li - Quan Chi x Li Mei
- John Kahner - Johnny Cage x General Shao
- Johnny Savage - Johnny Cage x Baraka
- Sento Storm - Kenshi x Rain
- Warlord - Reiko x Raiden
- Frostbite - Nitara x Sub-Zero and
- Quantum-Chi - Quan Chi x Geras
Bye the way, if you do find a female version of Johnny Cage, her name is Janet Cage.
One thing I will say, THIS is cool! It would be amazing if we can make our own Fusion Characters. Oh wait, Armageddon exists... f***!
The parts that I loved the most is the fact that they did all three 3D era stories in here, Deadly Alliance, Deception, Armageddon, also that they made both endings from mk11 canon. Amazing job from Nether Realm once again.
Did you not notice all the names dude lol, Quan Li, shock priestess, shao zero, stung lao lol, every video ive seen people play this part have all had different variant MK combinations at the end its insane!
Overall, MK1 felt like a big love letter to the 3D era.
Elite upload! I love all the references from Deceptions, Deadly Alliance, and then the Pyramid fight for Armageddon… brings back memories from the pS2 era haha I played all of them when I was like 7-8 growing up. Good times reborn 🐉

This is chaos like in the Chaosrealm. No wonder why Havik admired it. Now it is finally his time (a pity in another lifetime)
It’s been a tradition of mine for years now to watch unCAGED play through the Netherrealm story modes when they come out. He’s always me go-to. It’s been another great ride!
The Npc’S in storymode switches every new select character so you get nearly more than 40 more npcs to fight

There's a theory that with this being the original Havik, he now goes on to create the Chaosrealm. Can't wait to see how that plays out.
Fun fact: the Tower endings are not only ALL canon, but they all occur following the ending of the campaign.
Some of those endings will indeed surprise you. You should react to them.

I have to admit that Shang looks great in Red and Gold and Titan Quan Chi looks Badass and those Crazy People in NRS created a Final Chapter that pure Madness and Insanity that left our Jaw Drop that I knew when I first watched this this will be extremely Controversial and the Ending feels satisfying and making Havik the Next Big Threat makes me wonder what Ed said that they wanted to make another Expansion Story which doesn’t sound like a Bad Idea to expand more Story and Lore and thanks to the Characters’ Endings being Canon and the Dialogues are hints of After the Story Mode, Ed and NRS might know what to do in the Future Going Forward, in the end it might not be what we wanted but is enough to be Satisfying, my biggest worry was that the last 24th Character and 16th Kameo would be a Kreate-A-Fighter Remake but Now that’s not the Case Anymore, kinda disappointed that the Roster is Shot but I will take this, I give it a 8 out of 10.

Something tells me about all the variants we were shown, hints that we could possibly get a create a characters feature as dlc, or it could be a feature for the next game.
They make any combination they want, limited by imagination.
If only we could create our own character. That gave me this idea. Just like in Armageddon. I enjoyed it so muuuch!

The ending reminds me of a brief ministory Marvel did where the Marvel universe was folded into itself thanks to the Reality stone leading to all the characters becoming fused together. It lead to characters like a Iron Man/Thor combo among several others. Maybe Titan Shang Tsung did a similar thing to create his army. It could explain why so many characters that would not normally work with him did because of the fusion. Even Havik at the ending looks like a fusion of Havik and Kotal Kahn. Just something that came to mind when I saw this ending also I'm guessing that Havik is the threat for either the "Aftermath" DLC or the next game
They gotta add a mode or something that lets you use the crazy character mashups or even make your own crazy combos
Totally agree with all of your points. I hope it's not too late for them to make such radical changes, for example in regards to the intros: that'd be such a massive change if you only consider new entrance animations to capture, new dialogues 😢 I loved that in mk11 as not only it added a little bit more to the game but only gave you time to appreciate your custom skin

I used Shao and Scorpion for the chapter 15. And I love that the fights change. It’s so crazy! How much work they put into it!! So many variations!

Either the mashup kharacters you face at the end are all random or each fighter has specific ones they face. Outside of female Scorpion and Ermac, everyone seems to face them. I saw someone face an opponent named John Kahner. Fusion between Johnny and general Shao. Terminator reference to John Conner.
Out of all the Test Your Might spots, this one 10:30-10:35 is the most hilarious!

I love how all the Mashup characters are kinda an homage to Kreate A Kharacter where you could have a Mashup of different fighting styles/moves

Hey uncaged. If you decked out your characters with different skins and gear, you can replay the Armageddon chapter with all them, cause choosing the final fighters have either their new era skin or an alternate skin depending on who you choose but their skin CAN be changed.
I hope you play the arcade ladders next, all the tower endings contribute to the story canon

I thought this story mode was the best one so far. I loved how they changed some stuff up a bit, but true if that makes any sense haha. I hope you will be playing invasion mode
On my first playthrough, I encountered a mix between Johnny Cage and Shao Khan named... "John Khaner".
It's sad that you didn't get to fight Fire God Johnny like MKIce&Fire did. Other than that, this journey was amazing and the story was perfect.

I have a feeling that when Netherrealm Studios launches the expansion to the game such as MK 11 Aftermath and MK 11 Ultimate. They're going to add additional story chapters as a sequel with that it's going to be named MK2 naming the next version release of the game MK1+2, MK12. I'm pretty sure characters like Kitana, Sareena, Smoke and Jade will get a chapter
And now I can't wait for mk2😭😭😭
