I visited Nahodka, Russia, in 1971. I was an American sailor aboard the US Coast Guard ice breaker, "Glacier." Even then, in the height of the "cold war" the Russian people in this city were courteous and friendly. I send greetings to the good people of Russia.
When I was in high school back in the 1980s, I had some friends that were taking Russian and they were third-year Russian language student and around April. They went to visit the Soviet Union in Moscow and stayed with some sponsor families for six weeks and absolutely loved it.! They loved it so much they didn’t want to come back because they were having too much fun out in the cold and here in the south we were laying out in the sun😂
I visited Russia in 1985 (yes, the Soviet era) and had a fantastic time. The people were friendly and curious about Americans, and I was thrilled to see the places I had read about in art history books and Russian literature. Ahhhh, the music and art . . . God bless Russia and the wonderful Russian people.
I visited Sochi/Moscow/St Petersburg for 3 weeks in June 2024 for the first time and it was fantastic... ALL the Russians I met were unrelentingly friendly, super helpful and simply great. Super safe, clean and so much to see. Very good value for money as well. (eg. Amazing 1,000 mile/23 hour train ride in an immaculate sleeper car from Sochi to Moscow for only £150 including a hot breakfast!) I will definitely going back in the next year.... How to recognize propaganda: 1) When given a problem, fear rather than reason is used to present the solution. 2) When you're pressured into accepting the solution. 3) When you're not allowed to question the solution. 4) When the solution involves surrendering your freedoms. 5) When your eyes see one thing, but you are compelled to believe a different thing. 6) When the solution means giving small groups of people control over larger and larger things. 7) When dissenters are censored for refusing to accept the solution. 8) When dissenters are targeted by accusations from different sources, suddenly and all at once.

The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why liers and murderers feel good while righteous persons are persecuted. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)
I been watching tons of Russian vloggers and they seem like very very good and moral people. Watching how they treat each other is extremely wholesome. Completely opposite of American culture where everyone is rude. I watched a video where they went to get checked for radiation because they snuck into Chernobyl to explore. They walked in and were seen the same day. The Dr. was extremely nice, helpful and professional. You would ever be treated like that in an American hospital. Oh yeah and it cost only $2 dollars for each person to get tested.
If you are a granny with magazines about Jehovah you are in trouble in Russia for they are outlawed. "Jesus" means "Jehovah is salvation". This is the name of Christ real christians are hated for. "HalleluJah" means "Praze Jah" (Jehovah). Psalm 83: 18: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." A lot of believers await for the God's Judgment and do hate His witnesses... The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)
Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult! The name Jesus, does not mean Jehovah is salvation! You need to study Hebrew and Greek language. JWS teach that Jesus was a created being like Lucifer, which is a total lie. They altered the text in first John that says that Jesus is God. They are the only religious group in the world that did this, why is that? Over the years, they also made false predictions about the end of the world. They stopped doing this because they were always wrong and people noticed. Ask a JW about shunning. Is that something Jesus would do?

Brother of my girlfriend has an apartment in St. Petersburg, I definitely want to go visit. I am very grateful for Russian influence on European politics and society in the 20th and 21th century, I can't even imagine how bad it would have been without her help. I'm reasonably aware of the true horrors of The Empire and if you stand up to it, it has to be met with equal or greater force, one cannot walk away from that a saint. Still, the restraint and control, it is beyond what I can imagine I would have shown, but that might have something to do with the exposure to the brutal and mindless propaganda in the EU. Russia holds the hopes and dreams of the world in her hands once again this century just like the last. I tip my hat!

Sounds like he had a great visit. As a “Yank” who has set foot in 55 countries on 6 continents I have always wanted to visit Russia. 🇷🇺. I studied Russian /USSR history; government; geography and economics in the university from which I graduated in 1980. I also read translated versions of Puskin, Tolstoy, and Dostoevsky in the last decade. I also “recently” read Massie’s thorough books on Peter the Great and Catherine the Great. As a long-ago retired soldier I wanted to visit Volgograd; Kursk; Borodino; St Petersburg; Moscow; and most of all… ride the Trans-Siberian Railroad stopping in Vladivostok, Irkutsk etc. I have been to the borders of Russia in Latvia and in the former SSR of Tajikistan. In the late 1990s my wife bought tickets for my birthday to the traveling museum, “World War II through Russian Eyes” while it was in San Diego, CA. I spent hours in there! I watched Putin’s interview with Tucker Carlson. But alas, trusted friends who have insight into issues around the world strongly recommend I wait before going due to political tensions. The government tells us to stay out of The Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea 🇰🇵 and I do! But I also know one American who went and found it “interesting.” We are told to stay out of Iran and that too makes sense. I visited RSA for a month in 1985 during our embargo against them due to Apartheid. I was very safe there but we were never serious enemies. I watched many episodes of “Bald & Bankrupt” on RUclips traveling all over Russia but even he stopped visiting Russia. Your video might be more compelling with a lot more Americans interviewed there. Although Russia and the USA were serious threats to one another most Russians I meet are good people… just like most Americans and countless other cultures I visited since my world travels. I am optimistic that Trump will get elected and relations will improve and retired military Americans can visit that massively large, complex and intriguing country again. I have the money (did well after retirement from the military) and the time but my insiders tell me to stay out… and they are NOT Biden supporters! Thanks for the video.

What was YOUR departure city in the USA and what airline and route did you take to get to Russia? How much for the flight and the hotel in US dollars? YOU converted US dollars into Russian rubles and spent the rubles?
There are a handful of routes to choose from. Istanbul, Doha, and Dubai to name a few. A quick google search will give you a close estimate for flight and hotel. Take a look at my playlist “Travel to Russia” at the end of the video. I have several videos with detailed info about traveling to Russia.
In Russia, all payments are in rubles only, so you need to bring cash and exchange it for rubles at any bank (except at the airport of course, where the exchange rate for ignorant tourists). Or open a MIR card at the bank and use only the card. All you need to open the card is a passport and in 2 hours you'll have it in your hand.

Russia’s cultural heritage is rich and waiting to be discovered by those of us who lived in the west.
I visited Sochi/Moscow/St Petersburg for 3 weeks in June 2024 for the first time and it was fantastic... ALL the Russians I met were unrelentingly friendly, super helpful and simply great. Super safe, clean and so much to see. Very good value for money as well. (eg. How to recognize propaganda:
1) When given a problem, fear rather than reason is used to present the solution.

Hola 👋🏼 🇵🇷!
I've been coming to Russia annually for 15 years and have not had a single unpleasant experience. I feel that the major Russian cities that I've visited are far safer than almost any major American city. It is absolutely Beautiful. If you haven't seen Russia yet, you really should because it is really unique; you will really enjoy it and will quit falling for the Western propaganda. That is why Washington is discouraging travel; they want you to fear the unknown...be very very afraid. NO, come and see it - you will love it.
Hi, murphy. You made a good point with words "they want you to fear the unknown". And to hate unknown as well, i'd say. Western establishment has pushed such narratives so many years so unfortunately a vast majority of westerners do behave accordingly.

"HalleluJah" means "Praze Jah" (Jehovah).
Psalm 83: 18: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."
A lot of believers await for the God's Judgment and do hate His witnesses...

Until then he was safe, well and welcome everywhere he went, even in the Donbass region. Shouldn't have betrayed that trust...
Рича ( Лысого и банкрота) арестовали в Казахстане на Российском режимом объекте Байконур это космодром и там дело было связано с разведкой так что он сам виноват , если бы в сша иностранец попал на мыс Канаверол и делал снимки что бы с ним было?
I visited Moscow via RUclips & I was shocked. It is beautiful. And aside from Tokyo, I noticed no trash as the camera took you on tour throughout Moscow. I love history & architecture. I would love to visit.
Thank you for watching and for having an open mind.
Thanks Scott for your simple, honest answers to the questions 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
Как приятно видеть в России хороших и адекватных людей! Только правительства, власти могут сеять ненависть и раздор, но простые и разумные люди всегда найдут общий язык.
Вот-вот
Спасибо!
Russia helped defeat Hitler how we foret
@@garyjones4001 About 80% of WW2 casualties of the German forces happened on the eastern front. They were attacked all the way as they straggled back to Berlin. The war was as good as over when the US joined the conflict and even tho Churchill had a racist hatred of Russians he said the Russians "tore the guts out of the German army".
I’ve recently being doing a deep dive into Russian culture and current affairs. I’m pretty shocked at what I’ve learned. It’s definitely not what we are told. I would love to travel there and I know there are work arounds. The money issue would scare me. Not having my visa work would be challenging
It’s never too late to visit. Start by applying for your visa. Russia is waiting for you!
What I was told growing up. "Siberia is a frozen wasteland where only political prisoners live in a version of hell."
Siberia is a paradise of farms, villages, rolling hills, green forests, rivers and yeah, some deep snow in winter.

Hope you will have a great trip some day 🤗 welcome to Russia

Wonderful comments, thanks, guys!❤
I don't see any filth/trash/graffiti. I don't hear any screaming or gunshots. Absolutely NO thumping BOOM SHAKA LACKA 'music'. Seems like a heavenly place to be.❤
I visited Russia and loved it! Really want to move there!
Why didn't you stay ?
@@John316OBrian-cm4fj I had to come back to the States to move my business operations over there. It’s a process, but I am getting it done. Fortunately, a lot of my business is web based. I’d be happy to stay connected with you with advice on how to make the move yourself.
The architecture is stunning
It truly is.
Beautiful city capital of Russia 🇷🇺.
Bravo Moscow Photographer.
Greetings from Vietnam 🇻🇳.
👋🏼 🇻🇳! Would love to visit Vietnam one day soon.
The old continent, specially the east, has more than millenia of culture, fantastik.
A very rich history.
great video, thank you very much. greetings from Germany
You are welcome! Thank you for watching! 🇩🇪
@MoscowPhotog, the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) in the USA is seeing its churches explode with American converts. It's almost more than we can handle. The ROCOR cathedral in St. Louis is also dedicated to St. Basil the Great and was recently completed.
That's amazing!
@MoscowPhotog All as prophesied by the Contemporary Orthodox Christian Saints. They also all prophesied the collapse of the USA.
Thank you for a great video! This is the kind of positivity this world needs the most today!
Thanks so much for watching!
The freest citizen of the world being prevented from travelling to some places around the world sounds like total freedom to me.
Mee, too.
I am totally uninterested in the inquisitor's opinion from the certain department 🙄

@@MoscowPhotog u producing such a great content!) thank u so much!
I am a Russian that lives in Israel and it’s very sad to see how ppl are presenting Russia on the west and how RUclips bans anyone who making positive content about Russia like Sasha meets Russia and Russian code . But I hope that “regular” ppl would not give the media the power to brainwash them into believing that Russians are aggressive and want Europe and the US to die ( and the same about the opposite side). Just my thoughts 🙃
I appreciate your support. Please share this video so more can see how beautiful and welcoming Russia is. 🙏🏼

This reminds me of my visit to Afghanistan 5 years ago. The consulate required me to sign a form saying that "I choose to visit of my own free will and accept all responsibilities for what happens to me." Shouldn't that be the the default for visiting any place?? Even for leaving your front door!
Imagine you have a father who has done so much bad stuff so he thinks that a lot of people would easily hurt you just to hurt him. So he says to you: If you go outside and something happens to you I'm not gonna help, it's your responsibility, sign this paper if you agree, because I warned you.
Government is like parents and citizens are the children, how can they deny that responsibility, it's crayzee...
I visited a friend in Moscow about 10 years ago and found everyone to be friendly. Maybe not wildly open but always helpful. I was glad to have a Russian friend as I got lost in the subways sometimes as I could never tell what station I was at. Amazing system built by of all people, Stalin. Architecture was amazing and Red Square was huge. It looked so tiny on our b & w TV in the 1960s during the parades there.
I had the same reaction about Red Square.
The French designed the subway in the 1890's.
@@linmal2242 the subway of Paris?

What was YOUR departure city in the USA and what airline and route did you take to get to Russia? How much for the flight and the hotel in US dollars? YOU converted US dollars into Russian rubles and spent the rubles?
There are a handful of routes to choose from. Istanbul, Doha, and Dubai to name a few. A quick google search will give you a close estimate for flight and hotel. Take a look at my playlist “Travel to Russia” at the end of the video. I have several videos with detailed info about traveling to Russia.
The most popular flights are with Turkish Airlines, which are cheap but long, and with Air Serbia, which is expensive but fast.
