This is hands down one of the best BlueWorld episodes EVER! I can't even imagine what it would be like to dive with so many whale sharks in the wild, let alone the school of HAMMERHEADS. I dove with them in the Georgia Aquarium a few years back but this is an entirely different level. Darwin island has always been really high on my bucket list.
It's fascinating to see a full episode on the Galapagos! Ocassionally you'll bring them up in videos like the reef cleaning stations, but this is amazing!
I've never scuba dove (I don't know the proper term) or have done underwater caving but I LOVE watching footage of others doing it. Thanks Jonathan for allowing us to peek into the underwater world
Well, this also happens to be rare footage of a Whale Shark while "Bird"watching with the corner of her mighty eye! Thank you BlueWorld for the great video, great job as always!
I'm 12 right now and I can't wait to start scuba diving again! I go to a local scuba school that teaches people 11 and up in regular scuba classes. When I was around the age of 10 I was in that school but since they only teach 12 and up I had to join a different thing that teached people that were young. So, I joined a thing (in the same school) called scuba rangers that tought people 9 to 11. It costed around $500 so I got into it but they barley had classes due to it being during the pandemic and them losing a lot of swimming teachers. When I became 11 I was to old to be in scuba rangers and I was able to join the regular scuba classes. But then we became really poor due to the rising prices in California. So we had to leave. But now we are getting more money and my parents could get me inside of the regular scuba classes! This video really makes me excited about scuba diving because sharks are my favourite animal. Thank you for filming all of these dives because they really makes me excited about scuba diving. 👌
The Galapagos archipelago is one of the few remaining wonders of the world. Sadly, Ecuador, the country to which these islands belong, has turned into a hellish inferno, where drug trafficking, gang warfare, kidnapping, and extorsion by all sorts of criminals, are now the norm of every day life!
Best diving of my life there for sure! Those 2 week trips were amazing. I had mola mola, whale sharks, even a galapagos sea lion that brought me a red lipped bat fish as a gift!
Blue World is such a great channel and everyone sounds so happy to be there.....what a wonderful job you have. Im so jealous. I work in renewable energy conservation, and when I can I stare out at the sea and just wonder whats out there.... you are my outlet. Thank you
It is amazing that most of the shots were actually from a GoPro! As a diver who has never seen such a giant animal, this episode definitely add a new item to my to-dive list.
Idk why, this kinda gives me vibes of your Antarctica video. Just an animal you don't see very often. Whale Sharks are very underrated in my opinion. Such beautiful creatures & *THE* largest fish in our oceans. Incredible videos as always Jonathan & the Blue World team!
Be still my heart! Even though we saw one in Indonesia, we were not THIS close. And to see how incredibly hard you were working to stay close! Just beautiful. See you in 3 weeks!!!
By viewing this I just amazed by the Majesty Of Allah SWT How He made it How He made such a complex world just to amuse people of temporat world #Love with this #Keep showing so that we can view His Creation #Nice work in developing world ❤
Amazing footage! Just got back from a week on the Galapagos Master and dove Darwin’s Arch for two full days. Best overall diving experience in my 23 years of diving. Fortunate to see two Whale Sharks, but AMAZING how that one remained stationary!
I went there about 2 years ago, and it was amazing both on land and in water! Those Scalloped Hammerhead sharks were beautiful there. You should also return to Cocoas island one day!
(Comment from July 28) Johnathan,it’s shark week. When are you diving to the adventure aquarium in Camden Nj in the Ocean realm exibhit with the only great hammerhead. They even added a bottle nose wedge fish,I think you never seen that before
Wow! What an incredible creature. The thrill of being so close to such a magnificent animal! I'm wondering if maybe she was waiting to give birth? Did you return to the site at any stage? Exemplary video Jonathan. 👍🙏
The best time of year is when the water is cooler, which is their winter (our summer) so basically June-October. I always shoot for August/September as the prime months.
Amazing with the iguana, hammerhead sharks, and whale sharks. Funny how you are screaming underwater. Were those remora fish attached to the whale shark.
What lens kit is that on the gopro y'all are using? I have been looking for something like that but can't seem to find anything. Also, amazing video as always!
This is hands down the coolest whale shark footage I have ever seen.

Darwin Island is possibly the best single dive site on this planet.

surreal beauty. i'd cry tears of joy meeting a whale shark. they're one of my favourite species.
Incredible footage! And those patterns on the whale sharks are beautiful. Love to see them this close and clear!

this channel is my childhood! i remember watching the videos on this channel as a kid.
We are still here, still making awesome videos! Welcome back!
Honestly I have never seen a whale shark do that before! Hell even my cousin hasn’t seen one doing that!
I actually love whale sharks they are one of my favorite species of shark
Me too. They are so big and gentle and sweet animals. I love them.
LOVE whale sharks. It is absolutely crazy how fast you guys are kicking while that giant just floats through the water; amazing!
could also be resting in the warm water, the current near the reef would feel like nothing to that size of a whaleshark
Best diving of my life there for sure! Those 2 week trips were amazing. I had mola mola, whale sharks, even a galapagos sea lion that brought me a red lipped bat fish as a gift!
That was hilarious!
How are you not love them ! They are adorable and giant at the same time
I now know where my next dive trip will be.
I just feel like saying, “ bye momma” .. so beautiful. Thank you Jonathan Bird ❤

9:22 omg
6:44, Scream underwater. Wow!
I remember watching this guy swim with whales when I was a kid
Incredible! Its a very special place both under and over water.
Awesome to see them up close, gives a sense of awe I have not felt in a long time
This is a majestic episode!! What gorgeous creatures whale sharks are and massive respect to Jonathan and BlueWorld team!
O may God its great film ever galapagos under the sea❤❤❤❤

I’ve been there. Breathtaking!
Good gracious 😮. Your bold cause I would have been sick outta of my mind. Lol. Thank you for sharing your experiences under water like that 🎉🎉
Be still my heart! Even though we saw one in Indonesia, we were not THIS close. And to see how incredibly hard you were working to stay close! Just beautiful. See you in 3 weeks!!!
This is like Avatar Underwater 2.0
Amazing video as usual....🤩🤩🤩🤩 i love it so much 😍😍😍😍😍
"Every time I visit"!!!@ I'm jealous 😊.
I'm fortunate that I have been to the Galapagos something like 8 or 9 times, and heading back again this year.
@@BlueWorldTV Very fortunate indeed. 😊 for sharing. Another item on the bucket list.
The whale shark are here to give birth by swimming down to deeper dark waters where no drivers can actually follow them.
Nature is amazing, especially in the blue world!
And you are so lucky to get so close to the whale shark!
I like the cave diving stuff, but this kind of wildlife exploration is what really floats my boat... I mean, sinks my BCD... I mean... you get it.
More to come!!!! Stay tuned!!!

Your art is truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing it with the world.
be exactly like that whale shark when it comes to awareness
Now I can truly see how much of a behemoth a Whale Shark is to a person side by side.
Amazing!! As always Johnathan … me and the kids are looking forward to me and the team next month in Cozumel!! Blessings..
Just insane
Awesome,Man.💜
My jaw is on the floor! 😲

as always what an awesome video
Thanks BWTV. 👍
That was incredible and beautiful. I wish I will see a whale shark some days🤩 Thanks for this video.
Love from🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
WOW!
Love these kinds of videos. Reminds me of your older one with your submarine where you see a whale shark after swimming below a school of hammerheads
whale sharks are gentle giants and VERY cute 🥰
You might remember me but I also wanna dive when I get older. You inspired me to want to scuba dive.
Awesome! When is your class???
I already did them
@@BlueWorldTV it was a while ago I got a mini scuba tank I can use in my pool
@@BlueWorldTVmy dad won’t let me open water dive till I’m 18
@@BlueWorldTVso it will be a while before I get my certification
Another amazing video Jon. also great work on the narration. Fantastic job done.
(Comment from July 28) Johnathan,it’s shark week. When are you diving to the adventure aquarium in Camden Nj in the Ocean realm exibhit with the only great hammerhead. They even added a bottle nose wedge fish,I think you never seen that before
Come on when
Shark summer from the adventure aquarium will last at AUGUST 20
Sharkies!!! YAIY!!!
I think the two best places to dive are Raja Ampat and Darwin Island
When I saw that shark, I thought somebody’s gonna be a mom
Awesome video! These are way bigger than the ones we swam with in Cancun, which were still huge!👍👍👍
So beautiful, gods creation for us to find
Love from Bangladesh ❤️
8:52 the shark so cute
Did you know there's whale sharks in Asia too?
Wow! What an incredible creature. The thrill of being so close to such a magnificent animal! I'm wondering if maybe she was waiting to give birth? Did you return to the site at any stage? Exemplary video Jonathan. 👍🙏
Thanks!
Thank you!
I love whale sharks. They are my favorite animals 🥰 could someone put a tracker on one too monitor if they are indeed giving birth at Darwin Island?
They have put satellite tags on them, and learned that they tend to stick around the Galapagos, so they must be giving brith there.
I would love to swim with an animal the size of a Greyhound Bus
Love it!!
Amazing video. Must have been a very special experience 🥰
breathtaking absolutly beautiful!!
Amazing
I wonder if she was resting or sleeping. Being pregnant is hard I would imagine.
Possibly....but why so close to the reef???
Nice. Shared.
Awesome!
This is cool! This is grand! This is glorious! This is great! This is awesome!
Trying to get more into filming underwater at the moment. I only have a GoPro, but i think i‘m getting better and better.
I was wondering when you guys were going there. I would love to go there.
Cool
Not the hammerheads afraid of bubbles :(
To dive with whale sharks and hammerheads in the Galapagos is there a certain time of year that's best? Or are they present year round?
The best time of year is when the water is cooler, which is their winter (our summer) so basically June-October. I always shoot for August/September as the prime months.
Amazing, all i can say.
6:43 I know how Romora sticks to other animals to get food but how did have enough time to stick to the whale sharks tail?
They are quick!!
Amazing with the iguana, hammerhead sharks, and whale sharks. Funny how you are screaming underwater. Were those remora fish attached to the whale shark.
Yes the whale sharks have a LOT of remoras on them.
Amazing video. Now I want to go there :)
Is it possible the WhaleShark is sleeeping?
I suppose!
Any reason you didn’t bring DPVs on this dice? Seems it would save a lot of work… and gas
Why worry so much about your air supply, use your KISS Sidewinders!
This was filmed before we had them!
Amazing creature, really love the imprinting on the skin. Wonder if the last whale shark was sleeping.
pre like and reminder activated
Wow 😮
I see Galapagos shark follow whale shark
How often do you not scuba dive with a double air hose?
Depends on the shoot. This shoot had some special requirements that made it better to be on a single hose.
What lens kit is that on the gopro y'all are using? I have been looking for something like that but can't seem to find anything. Also, amazing video as always!

Thanks for sharing 😁
They also pass nearby the Azores, I hope to see them one day 🤿👌
We will be in the Azores in August!
@@BlueWorldTV Perfect! The conditions are the best during this period,:) On which island will you stay ?
Thanks Jonathon, what month of the year you did these dives?
Summer. It was July.
Thanks a lot. Thinking what month will be the best to go there to see it all in one shot.
Hey, this is a shark that I like! Not the other ones that feast on people.
sharks don't feast on people
"Feast on people" cracked me up. They don't feast on people!! LOL!
Which month did you guys go?
The best time is June-October
