Oh my gosh! I was literally just there. I went to Tokyo for Christmas and went to ALL the major places you talked about, and my hotel was in Kinshicho, so really close to Asakusa, and straight down the road from the Sky Tree xD pity I didn't see either of you! I hope you both had a great time! It was my first time in Tokyo; I had so much fun (^0^)/ and yeah, I started to miss the UK too so I went to a British pub on Christmas day xD come to Osaka again some time!
This was all the way back in April so that's probably why we didn't run into each other ^^ (I am a very good procrastinator) Hoping to head back over late this year though if I can, so maybe we'll bump into each other then! I feel you on that Christmas in Japan though. I didn't have any British pubs nearby so I had to settle for some BBQ ribs at Outback (Aussies used to be British, so I guess it kinda counts! =P)
Is it weird if I answer this myself? ^^; There are occasions where I put the wrong emPHASIS on the wrong syLLAble but I did a pronunciation class at my uni in Japan and my teacher told me I didn't need to work on my accent though so I think overall it's pretty good....And now I sound like I'm full of myself. Apologies if that's how it came across ;_;

I was just hoping to hear a native's perspective because, at least for me, when I learned Spanish, Americans would tell me my accent was good, but my native friends were able to point out errors my friends didn't catch. I wanted to check and see if this was a good place to learn my accent from.
