A very nice layout man. May I know if your battery do get fully charged. Your installed capacity from the pv 10800w to charge 45kwh battery may take time. Aside you powering your load from it you still can’t harness it all and on a bad weather days. You may not get to harness 2kw from the pv.
Hi guys. Congrats to you! I have a few questions: 1- In which directions are the panels oriented to? 2- Do think 3 strings of 8 pieces of 450w will be enough to charge fully and efficiently the 3 batteries if the customer has hugh load and demand during the day time? 3- Do you know about DC connection bars that you can use to connect the batteries altogether? (it prevents the used battery ports not to burn in the case of a hugh demand from the inverter) 4-What is the length of cables from panels to inverters? Good work after all!
I really appreciated your installation, it's great especially the PV support used, is it possible to share with us the lengths of your PV supports and the weight of the concrete blocks used. I am also an engineer in the solar field thank you
Yes, of course Oh alright thats pretty cool the dimensions of the frame are as follow. The Base angle bar is 1m 76cm, the long vertical angle bar is 80cm, the shorter angle bar is 40cm, and the top sloping angle bar is 1m 76cm. Keep in mind that the panels we use are 1m 96cm × 1m6cm alright i hope that helps
18KPV can only be used in the United States and Canada or countries with 120v/240v and 60hz split phase. If you live in Nigeria, that inverter isn't for you. You need a 230v single phase inverter with 50hz. You need an inverter with L1 and Neutral. Not one with L1 and L2. Understand what you are doing before buying something you won't be able to use without a transformer.
Why did u use 2 dc breaker for the pv. Why not go straight to the surge protector then to the breaker which will pass to the inverter. I don't mean to challenge. I'm always trying to learn.
Thanks bro for the positive energy. Yeah the first DC breaker serves as a fuse to protect the inverters from over voltage ⚡️ from the panels incase of surge, and the second one just serves the purpose of an isolator
wow great job, it’s very great. Please can you lead me a little on how you made the holes in the bricks to be able to fix the iron bars on them? And what kind of bricks are they exactly? thank you and I can't wait to see your response
The bricks are custom made cement bricks with a length of 40cm, width of 16cm and a height of 19cm. To make the bricks you should make a custom made frame using these measurements then then mix the cement with sand and pour it in the frame you made then you take two bolts and put the heads in the wet cement, and measure the distance between the two bolts for consistency on the other bricks. After you made the bricks you measure the point of the two bolts on the bricks and drill the same measurements on the metal bars so that you can easily slide it in then tightening it with a nut securely. Alright i guess that answers your question and thanks for the positive comment by the way. Peace out✌️
No the the inverters were connected in parallel to increase the overall output power and the batteries as well were connected in parallel to increase the overall capacity. They are all collectively controlling one big load
Yes it does from my experience. However make sure of a couple of things: panel quantity and quality/ the sunshine of the area where you install your system.
This is a very good job. Please what is the name of the terminal you linked all the batteries to called? Made the installation so neat and free of cable joints
Good job guys. I appreciate the simplicity and neatness of the job. I'm thrilled with the panel installation especially that you had everything custome made and easy to install. A quick question though, how did you fix the concrete or brick to the roof floor? Wish you were in Nigeria.
Thanks bro really appreciate it. The concrete bricks aren't fixed to the roof floor but instead we just placed it because the weight of all the concrete bricks combined is enough to securely hold the panels.
Neat job but the DC cable size for the Battery Bank is too small, cable size for the 3 battery set up should not be less than 50mm-75mm.....because when the battery is drain and is set to charge the cable temperature will slightly increase and might not the able to withstand the charging current of the 3 storage devices
syperb work brother. There is no SCC in your set up. as i understand the solar is directly connected to your inverter and the inverter has battery port for its dc output?
Thanks for the comment mate. The panels are not directly connected to the inverters but instead they're connected to a Surge Protective Device first before reaching the inverters
@@DNC2.0 Even at that , the inverter should have its own RCD and this is important to show in your installation videos so viewers are convinced you know what you are doing and that you take safety importantly...there should be an RCD , a Type B or Type F , after the inverter before the Distribution Board

You made a mistake why are you still backing your battery with external breaker what of if the breaker trip off it will remain only PV voltage on the system are you know only PV voltage can damage the system without seen battery
Abeg my question is, Does inverter has efficiency rating like d way panel does? E.g I can only get 3kva from an inverter of 5kva? Clean installation guys, gudus👏
No you can't get up to 5000W in a 5KW inverter because you have to take into consideration the power factor which most inverters have 80 percent of or 0.8
They also have continous and surge ratings. Inverters lose efficiency because of heat, conversions, and how much power they take to run. A 5kva inverter can never give you 5kva. The highest it can produce at its best is 4.5 - 4.8kva. Except the manufacturer is accounting for those inefficiencies.
Any appliance rated in KVA is just a marketing strategy to make the appliance look bigger than what it actually is, after all, your TV eg is not rated in " KVA but WATT... Most KVA rated inverters have a power factor of 0.8 so, for example , an inverter rated at 5KVA PEAK WILL PROBABLY BE A 4KW or 4000Watts .... So when buying inverters , look out for the ones in Watts not KVA. Most inverters made in Europe or for European Markets are rated in WATTS and they also come at huge prices
