      @@jamesbondero6170 Only seems fair considering taxpayers are building a stadium for a company that is worth $6 billion that has an owner worth over $7 billion and pays one player over $32 million a year. I will root for the Bills all day long, but the fact that we have to pay anything for their stadium is ludicrous. I guess it shows how good they are compared to the idiots in Albany.

    Oh cool, Buffalo is also getting a New Stadium, just like Calgary is going to build a New Hockey Stadium for the Calgary Flames starting in 2024 and is expected to be finished between 2026 to 2027
    The name of the New Stadium for the Calgary Flames in called Event Center (The reason we are building a new Hockey Arena is because the roof of the Saddledome has been cracking in 2022 and it did get repaired but it's unknown how long it will last especially since the Saddledome has been around for 40 years now (1983-2023))

      Same thing with McMahon Stadium 🏟️ (2025 will be McMahon 65th Year and it's still being used to this day for Canadian Football League (CFL) and Canadian University Football (U Sports))
      McMahon Stadium 🏟️ has been around since 1960 and the last time Calgary Hosted the Grey Cup Final 🏆 was in 2019

    No taxpayer money...no Personal Seat Licenses...the owner should be the ONLY one financing a stadium (see Robert Kraft with Gillette Stadium in 2001).

      That stadium was built 50 years ago, it's an old outdated stadium, there are teams that get a new stadium every decade or 2, so the Bills getting a new one after 50 years is nothing to complain about

      I have not been able to afford to go to a game in decades so what’s the Difference ?
      Point is:
      While everyone else is getting new stadiums Bills fans are paying for maintenance on an aging stadium that is costing more to keep up and keep from collapse.

    Former Torontonian here who used to love going to Bills games at Rich Stadium in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s (still remember those Polish sausages!), and also saw the Stones there in ‘81 etc….Given the weather postponement of the last day and others that have occurred there in Orchard Park, was there any consideration given to building the new stadium outside of the lake effect snow belt area? Maybe somewhere between Buffalo and Niagara Falls NY if not downtown Buffalo?
    Also, I am hearing there is no dome on the new one. Is that strictly for economics or are they afraid it might not hold the amounts of snow they get there? It might pay for itself in a few years in savings of $20 per hour snow shovelers! 😂
    Anyway, good to see the new stadium progressing. I haven’t been to Buffalo since the ‘80’s but hope to check out this new stadium someday!

      Building the stadium in downtown Buffalo would have added another ~$1 billion+ to the cost. To build the infrastructure/roads etc made in infeasible. In addition, residents in downtown made it clear they would do anything and everything to stop this kind of project in their backyards.

    If the stadium is a few month early it would be a perfect site for 2026 World Cup warm up matches or concerts before the Bills move in. This way they can get the kinks out before the first gameday

    Since the stadium has changed names at least 3 times why not let Himark blue cross blue shield pay for it?.Im sure they have plenty of money to cover the cost.Medical insurance is a ripoff anyway .They can raise thier premiums to pay for it.

    Taxpayers are suckers. So billionaire owner gets shiny new stadium we pay for. Then when ready to sell he makes billions more because stadium is newer. Maybe stadium should have been built with mandatory lower fees for tickets and % of future sale goes back to the state.

    Looks good, but to be+honest, I think the Bills should have an indoor dome when the weather is very cold and snowy. Of course, it can be open when the weather is warm, but from November to January, it is really very cold. Maybe Buffalo could host the Super Bowl game there if it was a dome. So, think twice. Thanks!

      @@My4_67Armorof3rdAD It'd be used for the same exact thing an outdoor stadium would be used for? Don't get the argument. You can also have a stadium with a retractable roof system so that during days like this upcoming sunday where it's gonna be snowing with nearly 30mph winds, you can have the roof closed and likely get a better game as a result. The snow isn't so much a problem but high winds really alter how games are played.

    Thanks for the reply back to me. Yes, I know that the taxpayers would have to pay more to build a new indoor stadium, if needed, but just once and built a new one, then, that is it. During the non-football season, what about thunderstorms, tornado, or others that can affect to cancel the events if played outdoor, so if indoor, no problem. It just was my suggestion. Thanks!
