New Highmark Stadium Construction Progress
The 62,000-seat facility, located in Orchard Park, New York, is now ready for large-scale structural steel work. Construction on the 1.35-million-square-foot stadium is expected to be completed in 2026.
Highmark Stadium originally opened in 1973 and was deemed too expensive to renovate.

I liked places such as Municipal Stadium (K C ), Colt Stadium, Jarry Park and Foxboro Stadium. They were cheap and simple. You went there to watch a game. It wasn't a ginormous man cave.
Was New York taxpayers given an option of paying towards it? Why couldn't the Bills owners foot the bill themselves?
This is the same for every team with a new stadium. Most of the budget is just about always footed by that teams tax payers

Maybe this is Buffalo turnaround. Something was wrong with that other stadium. They couldn’t get over the hump Tampa Bay had the same problem. They even had a Catholic priest holy water on their field but when they got a new stadium they won a Super Bowl. Good luck to you Buffalo.

Why wouldn't they put a roof on it? they could have built a retractable roof like in Toronto. They will have the same problems with weather as they always have had.

Here are the numbers .The deal saw New York forking over $600 million in public funding, while Erie County pitched in $250 million. $850 million is the largest public commitment for the construction of an NFL facility, according to the Associated Press. The Bills agreed to pay $690 million toward the project

I had hoped they would build this stadium in downtown Buffalo. But they said to so would have added an additional >$1 billion in the cost due to infrastructure costs/takeover of the homes of local residents etc.
