Without a doubt my favorite era of Green Day. Insomniac , to me, saw them at their rawest and realest. Perfect blend of what they are: punk with a catchy edge. Plus it’s super pissed off and heavier than anything they’ve done. You can tell it was just a knee jerk reaction to the success of Dookie. They were confused and pissed off at everything and everyone. Right up my alley. Love you , 95 and insomniac
Totally agree, Insomniac is my fave album as Dookie was almost too good in some respects. This era of the band defined my mid-teens and i'm so thankfull they were around.
Hotel Babylon was a show on late-night ITV hosted by Dani Behr. It was funded (as opposed to sponsored) by Heineken and produced by a certain Bob Geldof KBE. The show was axed amid a scandal over a leaked memo from Heineken to Geldof - they wanted more of their beer of on display and less black people on the show. When the memo was leaked the press had a field day and the show was axed as a result.
@matthewhenry6499 The song WAS originally written by Pete Townsend & preformed by The Who. But in Green Days version on the album, it IS Heineken, not "Break it". I've heard it SO MANY TIMES!! Never thought about it B4, so I just played Green Days version off of Kerplunk, & it is CLEARLY Heineken (fts). BUT, I have heard The Whos' original version MORE than Green Days, & I cannot hear anything like that being SAID (unless it is very much "in the background"). I've heard (& own -LOL!!) more than a couple different live versions, & maybe THAT is where it comes from with The Who - IDK. I'm not gonna go thru them all today, but if you CAN tell me where/when those words are said, I would VERY MUCH APPRECIATE IT!! TRULY!! I LOVE The Who, so if you have some cool R'n'R knowledge that I don't - I'd say Thank You very much for SHARING it with me. Thank you already!! Peace!!
Remember reading about this in KERRANG and staying up all night to tape it VHS......Dani Behr was a nice touch too...............I think they also did a big thing on 'The Day of the Beast.'

More like the game Sims
That's without a doubt the fastest I've ever heard Jaded before fuck yeah!
The strange unison dancing at the start of brain stew and them the cut to bille in front of fire gives me cult vibes
Here's the Timestamps... 10 years later
0:01 Stuck With Me
2:08 Brain Stew
5:00 Jaded
6:22 Walking Contradiction
Back when there was not a single phone filming everything and people dancing everywhere.
This literally looks like someone stole this video from guitar hero

It looks like guitar hero stole the crowd dancing from a green day show.
The 90s!
The clock is laughing in my face
Tre: haa haa xd

joshua goodger it was supposedly borrowed equipment
+Darkoftheshadowhd Or just back up
Austin Fucking Aries yeah, I remember Billie using that SG a metric fuck tonne on the Warning tour, and even in the music video for Waiting
Meme Thief he used a les Paul for Waiting
mike used a stingray in the early recordings of green day.
this might the first time i've ever seen Billie playing an SG.
that tone was killer😎 2:11
Probably one of the most on time amazing guitar playing by Billie, Especially with the same guitar the whole set!

Insomniac is my favorite Green Day album. Nothing they've ever done even comes close in my eyes.
0:00 - 2:09 Stuck With Me
2:10 - 6:19 Brain Stew / Jaded
6:20 - 8:43 Walking Contradiction

yeah he had that stingray for years but the neck broke during a recording of warning or nimrod
@DrPepper45 He used a Gibson G3, not a stingray.

is that a Living End sticker on his guitar?
Yes. This would have been on the Insomniac world tour, they were supported by The Living End in Melbourne (I was there at my first ever concert)
And a bouncing souls one too🥹
The people look animated lmao
how many camera angles?

@GreenDayBootlegs2010 si!! en cancha general..
Guitar is out of tune haha. I think Billie could tell this was a lame gig
Not his guitar. Not mikes bass. Clearly thrown together last minute
Joshua Montgomery it’s bullies guitar. Just doesn’t use it often
Billies***
I think it added to the punk vibe. I thought it was a decent gig...
@@sh856531 I agree I think the sound is pretty unique anyway
Underrated = the drums on Jaded

Funny looking back at this footage of them playing for a bunch of posers and then they cancelled the Irish gig because of "exhaustion!!
This is like the fuckin crowd in guitar hero
Where’d Billie get the SG from?
A guitar store.
It was borrowed equipment.
