- Busting open the time machine and going back to the Insomniac days, playing Brain Stew on MTV 🤘
We’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of Insomniac by releasing a double LP pressed on translucent orange vinyl and includes the cover art printed on prismatic silver foil. LP 1 is a remastered version of the album. LP 2 includes live tracks from the legendary 1996 Prague show on the A Side along with an etching on the B Side. We’re partnering with Punk Rock & Paintbrushes to sell a limited edition Insomniac archival giclee print. Yeah, they’ve said it’s about insomnia caused by drugs, but it’s also just super relatable if you’ve ever had insomnia. I have, and it’s really cathartic to hear such a loud, punchy, catchy, & fast rock song in Brain Stew & Jaded talking about a time when all you is want is quiet, but also want to scream because you’re so pissed off that you can’t sleep.

This band will forever be remembered and will be legendary until the end of time
Recently listened to this song again for first time in years. The boys were tight. Treys drumming, you can see that Ringo swing even back then.
When I was a 14 year old kid they were my favorite band, I listened to them and I was motivated to break my ankles while skating, for me they were pure gold here in Spain back in 1994-95. This video has reminded me of those wonderful years

One time, when I was 16, I went on a date with a guy who was 19. Mistake #1. He and I were both super punk at the time, super invested in the mentality and style. We were talking about music and I mentioned I liked Green Day. He told me they were fake punk. Needless to say, we didn't go on a second date.

Punk is punk. I think subgenres can be kinda unnecessary. Pop Punk, Punk Rock, Garage Punk, Hardcore Punk, etc. I mean sure, it can be useful to separate the differences in their music but in a same overall genre. But I just think its unnecessary. Also, the shit about them being sellouts is stupid. Just because they got signed with big record label doesn't make them sellouts. And, just because they gained access to better equipment, more resources and they aren't sleeping on the streets eating from 7 Elevens does not make them fucking sellouts.

Practice and well, he obviously wrote it so he knows what he's doing. It's power chords in a uniform way at the beginning with some variation and tricks as the song progresses. Point here is Billie's a great musician
