- In this video I will demonstrate and define the following terms: Bulkhead Deck, Margin Line, Floodable Length, Compartment Standard, Factor of Subdivision, Permissible Length
****Error ***** At 6:04 I introduce an incorrect formula for Permissible Length. The correct formula is Permissible Length = Factor of Subdivision * Floodable Length.
At 8:09 I give an example that uses the formula properly.
Thank you. Wonderfully explained
Thank you for this great video. Clarified few of my questions.Amazing job. keep up the good work. cheers
Thanks for the feedback!
Very nicely explained.
Thanks
You write Permissibile length = factor of subdivision / floodable length and in your example you instead and correctly multiply the variables....
Thanks for the video!
Thank you.
I added a subtitle in that spot with the corrected formula.
Perfect explanation! Cheers from Ceylon!
You're welcome!
Thanks for sharing. Very clarifiying video
Thanks
Permissible length = floodable length * factor of subdivision
Thank you.
thanks maam
Well Explained
Thank you
You're welcome!
what is permissible length ?
The flooding length of each point along the length of the ship is multiply by permeability to obtain permissible length .
Flooding length : the length of the ship that is flooded to cause the ship to sink or trim to margin line
Margin line : Is an imaginary line 75 mm blew the upper most continuous watertight deck
Wrong formula given
Well Explained
Thanks!
