    I have property up there. Absolutely amazing and beautiful area! This property location is a pretty remote area for groceries. You'd have to drive into Redding. Other problem is, if you are not living there full time, you have a high probability of tweekers breaking in and stealing your stuff. Happened to me 4 years ago. But talk about beautiful land- it is spectacular.

      Depends on what you want to do. If you put a house on it, then you need to clear and area around you house of course. Fencing it what most people do for a property boundary. Not sure why you would do that if you are surrounded by National Forest Land though. Maybe just at the road frontage.

    Know this information before you buy : because the proximity of the creek, you probably won’t be able to put septic tank with leach lines, you may be able to have an engineered septic that pumps up hill? Check this out first.
    I know Mendocino county doesn’t allow composting toilets but check with the county there for info
    Get the water in the creek tested by water quality control, it may have many old septic lines leeching into the water.
    I see beautiful wild sweet peas! My favorite. Black Oaks, Valley Oaks, manzanita, wild Himalayan blackberries, poison oak,
    and the pines if not dead are in decline …and the giant leaf plant in the creek is Indian Rhubarb, California native! It flowers in the summer
    Check this property out now in the end of summer…super hot , this will show you what you will need to clear for fire .
    Having the highway bridge right on top… not a good idea for various reasons, especially cigarettes car crashes during summer . You will want to make sure all dry brush is cleared under the bridge for fire safety. Also for the noise, it will probably never be quite. If peace and quiet is what you want…not here. If you don’t mind the noise…
    Very fire prone area, a lot of dead trees, good if you are or know a tree climber and arborist.
    The power lines are transmission, but the lines below them are distribution, these are the lines that “distribute “ power to the neighborhoods. You will need to contact PG&E to see if you can tap into those lines
    The pretty yellow flower plant is Scotch Broom very invasive
    ucanr.edu/blogs/blogcore/postdetail.cfm?postnum=57699

    Have you ever encountered any issues with people who shouldn't be there or encountered a bear or mountain lion?

    • @MountainValleyRealEstate
      @MountainValleyRealEstate  3 месяца назад +1

      Great questions!! I haven't run into a bear or mountain lion. I haven't had any negative encounters except for an older guy at his house who at first wasn't going to let me use and easement to get to the property I needed to get to but after talking for a bit he offered to give me a ride up the hill through the easement road. He ended up making an offer on the property too. The wildlife out to get you is way overblown on movies and TV. They are very scared of you and getting attacked my an animal is extremely rare and you do have a better chance of getting struck by lighting I read then attacked by a wild animal. If there were grizzly bears here, then I would be more concerned. But they are not in CA.

    It is a beautiful piece of land. I love creeks too. May be produce my own power using the downstream force. May be grow bananas,and other fruits here and there among these trees. I would run around naked on my land jumping from one tree to another giving necessary air to my balls. Although, I dont want my balls be the target of eagles

    How does this area do in flood season or fire season?

    • @MountainValleyRealEstate
      @MountainValleyRealEstate  5 месяцев назад +2

      The creek gets higher during the winter as it always has. Floods are not common here like in Texas or Florida. No ocean nearby. If a fire comes though, then the property could burn just like anywhere else.

    • @joelschmierer3544
      @joelschmierer3544 5 месяцев назад +1

      those trees with oils can burn more readily. but california's policies are why forests fires these days are dangerously large, because they prevent all small fires from occurring, which allows large amounts of dead vegetation to pile up, which is why the largest fires in california history have been recently happening, when these large dead piles of dead vegetation burn very large and very hot. safely burning dead vegatation on your property can help prevent big fires. small fires are good as they clean up the small amounts of dead vegetation to prevent big fires from occurring, and they allow animals time to escape small fires, these small fires quickly burn dry grass and stuff close to the ground floor, and these fires aren't big enough to climb trees or penetrate tree bark, unlike big fires

    I'm interested. So I have some questions. When you said most of the property is on slopes, is it 95% of the property, or 60% 0r 80%? Can the future owner legally level out 10% or 30-40% of the property? What is the temp in hot summer days and does the vegetation become dry and a forest fire hazard? Is the water in the creek contamination-free from any mining activities? Is there any fish in the creek and is it safe to fish and cook to eat? There is direct access to the property correct? Or the future owner needs to negotiate an agreement with the neighbor to gain access to this property?

  • @Calgold49
    @Calgold49 5 месяцев назад +4

    Always interesting watching a guy that knows nothing about gold mining trying to find gold, do you want to find some gold? if there’s any gold it would’ve been where that raft was there was some big rocks there look right behind those rocks there is any gold in the creek. that’s where it would be. Or a good place to look.
