Love Karen’s comment about gaining your own sense of purpose. This past year I have battled so many health issues. I ended up having to leave my teaching position. I not only lost my sense of purpose, but I felt like I lost my family (other staff members and my students). I went through the grief process, and believe God has a purpose through all of it. Creating my own sense of purpose has been critical to overcome grief. I would love to hear Karen on a future episode.

I use a combination of borax and Arm and Hammer washing soda. I add to almost every load, and you can let the items soak and dry in the sun, since it is white! Love laundry 😊
I don’t wash my face I only use micellar and then moisturise. I have really soft skin no spots ever. I wash everything else I’m not totally un washed. I love your videos and your mum is so lovely reminded me of my mum.
Wow, you’d never know you didn’t have a full blown skin care routine by the looks of your skin. It is beautiful! The older I get (I am 58), the more products I am incorporating into my skin care routine, including tretinoin (retinol). Great video, Lori, thank you!!

I have a good eye but don’t know where to begin. I have worked for our state for twenty + years and might have do go on disability. I won’t know until June. I’m very scared if I have to because my job was my life and wouldn’t know what else to do other than that. So, if I have to I thought about reselling. I want to do something that is going to be successful and passionate. If you have any advice I would appreciate it!

I make empandas with my Argentina's friend recipe . One day while helping out in her store my dad came in and loved them so I had to ask her for recipe to make them for him . When i is going to be hot out for a few days I'll make a huge batch and keep them in fridge so myjoe can just eat them as a snack ,

Just an FYI, what you ate from the flea market were pastelillos and not empanadas. They are very similar but the pastelillos have a crimped edge and the empanadas have a rolled edge. Happy eating!!

Lori, those aren't Bostons! Google image them, look closely at the style, that is like a Mary Jane how open it is on top and Bostons are closed on top. They are called the Rosemead Clog, they are a bit more rare, so I'd price them due to condition closer to $99.

oh man those 8 tracks I just had PTSD flashback. Back in the 80's I was working 3 jobs trying to go to college and well I stopped sleeping at night and I really needed to sleep to be on my game at work and keeping all those balls in the air. Between stress and the rooming house which was noisy at night I thought if I got one of those nature sound 8 track ( that is all I had was an old 8 track player someone gave to me before they moved to CA) I thought maybe peaceful nature noises would help me sleep . SO one day between running from one job to another I stopped into a Strawberries music store in meadowglen mall ... I perused the shelves and could not find one 8 track tape so since I was short on time I figured I'd ask the clerk . When I asked if he had any nature sounds on 8 track he broke into hysterical laughter saying " what rock did you crawl out from under " and then he started telling customers standing in line and pointing at me ... maybe I was just over exhausted and thus too sensitive but I was on the verge of tears I could feel my face was bright red and I could not run out that store fast enough I could still hear his maniacal laughter for a little bit down the hall of the Mall. I was mortified. Yeah I knew about cd's but I did not have a cd player and CD's were expensive back then . I did not realize they got rid of 8 tracks all together I figured they might still have a few on the shelf. To this day when I see an 8 track tape or player I am instantly thrown back to that one moment in time with the maniacal laughing clerk . Once I had a guy who was going to build me a computer and he said he would put a floppy disk in for me , well this is when floppy disks were on their way out and being replaced by cd.... well instantly I saw myself going to a store in the future and asking for floppy disks and getting laughed at... yeah I backed out of that deal of him making a custom computer and just bought one off the shelf . Even as I saw those 8 tracks in your vid my heart started racing LOL
