It took me 2 hours start to finish with a lift and installing it alone. Very easy to install if you use this video as you install it. I trans mounted it and I'm glad I did. Positive short shifts now; it's like night and day! This is a very high quality shifter and it is worth every penny. Buy it!!!

I bought a previously owned 2013 Boss 302. It already came equipped with a MGW shifter installed. I was still getting lock out in 3rd and 4th gear and grinding gears at high revs. I was seriously thinking about a trans swap. Thankfully I bought the Barton hybrid 3. This thing shifts flawlessly. I used the body mount option. David was right on when he invented this unique (pat pending) dual swivel linkage. It really is the cure. You don’t even need the trans mounted brackets that come with it. My only complaint is I wish I could have bought them separately to save maybe $100.00
David, listening to this video around 27 minutes you explain about setting the gate 1-2 3 times back to back. Not sure if it is a video editing error or what. Otherwise, great video.
Beautiful! I think I've finally decided on a shifter! Do you recommend using blue locktite anywhere during the install? I noticed you said something about a driveshaft safety loop. Do you have one available for the 2011-2014 Mustang GT? I'm not seeing one on your website.
UJ5.0 S197 well the gears really are shorter & slowly I'm adapting to it...for instance yesterday I raced a g37x 2 door & beat him thanks to the faster shifting

getting ready to install, so you think there isn't performance loss from body mounting, was thinking better performance from solid linkage trans mount

Maybe I missed it.. Wouldn't it be a good idea to use some Loctite on the bolts?
I just bought that shifter it seems my original shifter was softer...& my reverse is really hard to get into now
Mad GT how do you like it aside from that stiff reverse spring?

Erick P same thing here. I just got mine in today and getting into reverse is hard, takes too much effort.
