so cool to see how the world really did open up for joe. that is one of the most inspirational parts to the video when the thai trainer talks about that
Joe and Simon had an amazing rematch. It shows that North America have great fighters that entertain the fans that continue to grow. There has been such a large grow spurt and its exciting to see the future of the sport in the US
I still very happy that this documentary i created a long time ago still has relevance in the sport today. I you support the american athletes or not first become educated in weight classes before being a match maker. All of these fighter including the thais have all developed and changed some for the better others have retired. I appreciate all the comments and support
Im American and just hearing Joe talk made me want the Thai fighter to win. He is a good fighter, but just do your job, represent your country and nothing else. It takes away from the fighter when they talk alot.
If they did weigh in the US fighters must of cut weight, Ross and Schilling were massive compared to the Thai fighters. I've never met a Thai that cuts for fights within Thailand (only going on the few I know). Not saying this was rigged in any way just not a fan of it if this is the case.
Kaoklai has fought guys nearly twice his size, and won. So the size difference isn't something that bothers Kaoklai. Check his fights out on RUclips, the guy is a legend!nProblem is (my guess) that Kaoklai is getting old and aren't as hungry as he used to be.
Awesome videos. Great promotional tool for Muay Thai, well shot, well edited. I know this is directed at adults, but I wish I could show it to all the kids in the kids class at our gym... can't because of the language.
Awesome way to represent the USA and congrats for opening up more opportunities in the ring. Was this fight in Lumpinee Bangkok Thailand?? I went there last year while visiting Thailand that stadium reminded me of the movie with Bolo and Van Damme can't remember the title of the movie. I think it was Kickboxer.
Even though the funding is seldom, there are those that still support this movement and I will continue to document events that are landmark events in America. There are great film makers exploring Thailand, but there is not one that is dedicated to exploring the sport in the USA. I want the USA fighter to have a presence on the world stage so Muay Thai as a sport can be as glamours and respected as a fighting sport like Boxing and MMA. Thank you for your support. Jeff
He's definitely a Muay Thai fighter, but his style isn't as technical as the best Thai fighters and relies on power and heart. He's a lot more skilled then huge amount of people who call themselves Muay Thai fighters.
You can, in fact, stop crazy; just ask Simon Marcus. Joe is strong and aggressive, there's no denying that...but 2 losses in a row to Simon proves that he isn't the best at 175 right now.
This was really fun to watch. I've always had an interest in muay thai, but it's really hard to find matches here in America. Hopefully this makes the sport bigger. I also loved the music. Definitely some good shit to listen to while watching.
Derekm621 I really appreciate that comment. It's one of the nicest thing some one has said about the hard work my team and I have done. I want to create these videos and I am aiming to create much better and more articulate documentaries. I agree, that these videos would draw alot of views if i kept creating but the budget for these are seldom to none.
The problems with American fighters is that they are too cocky and annoying, and every one do it. Seriously, the only one who deserve to be cocky is the champion. These American fighters keep saying they have world class muay thai, then prove it! The French prove it, The Dutch prove it, Hell even The Australian prove it. If you want to show you are the best, then go to Thailand and win world title, not just fight in your own country and whine....Jeez.
so was saenchai when kevin ross fought him but saenchai still won...no americans are ready for top lumpinee champions in there prime now dude...nobody in the world for that matter...the thais are the best and always will be...
@grkchick Thanks for the compliments. it is people like yourself that appreciate the hard work my team and I did to create this. I am glad that I got to help these athletes and given them another avenue of promotion. As far as music goes I have been thinking of putting them out on RUclips. I also have a personal sound cloud link wi th my personal music. Hit me up with a pm for a link
@drjinlchi what happens when these fighters can not get fights over seas? One reason that these fighters are getting international fights is due to American promoters brining international talent to build the sport in the USA.the French have done it, the Aussies, the Dutch. Just like slamm, evolution, etc it takes time. That is whys created these videos
I have a question: When thais talk about muay thai/thaiboxing is not about winning, do people think they do this just as a joke or stay behind that in case they should loose? Why do you think that these kind of fights allways has a slower pace towards the end vs. thai vs. thai rasing the pace towards the end? Don't you think it is better not to know, than to know wrongly? This fight is not muay thai!
first to Mr. Dojillo great videos sir and second for those who do read and want a little clarification or better yet a little more light on this..... Kaoklai is and was at his prime a champion at 147 and 154lbs he was then told how he could make a lot more money fighting bigger fighters internationally so yes he has always sacrificed a huge weight advantage including in this fight I mean come on people it doesn't take rocket science to see the physical difference lets face the obvious Kaoklai took this fight for the money the Thais aren't like Americans they are dirt poor so winning doesn't give them a future advertisement to make money as the next Ninja warrior lol if you look up what they have done in their careers Kaoklaihas 100X more accomplishments the Schilling and schilling isn't even top 15 on the fighters he fought in resume schilling has a record of 23-9 13 kos not much KO power and hes been knocked unconscious 5X his mouth cant protect his glass jaw it seems
Buakaw been doing MT for 22 years til he retired this year. Give the guy credit for winning near untouched, but if you train MT don't look at him as a role model..He's obviously very cocky, and one day another fighter will put him in his place.
็He won Kaoklai when KK was old. If He fight with KK before now, KK won for sure. Come to fight other Thai Boxers such as Buakaw, Saiyok , Sudsakon, etc.
It is disturbing to me, this is a sport. Not until death do us apart. I dont feel it for you. KK had a good manner before fight and I wish all fighters could have good manners. Great performance though and best of luck in future.
This guy Joe is very cocky and he got lucky with the win. Ross is the real leader. Ross just need to not be too aggressive in a fight and im sure Ross will go so far... Joe need to learn more about what Muaythai and it culture.
Athit fights from culture and respect for Muay Thai....Joe is a street fighter with greater upper body strength (something not present in most Thai boxers, as they concentrate on legs development and genetically have strong legs from 1,000's of years of working in rice fields).....Joe wins, but Muay Thai and the Wai Kru are more important to Athit. But, good luck Joe.
Read my original post I said the few Thai fighters I know dont cut. also you can't tell me by looking at the fighters side by side that the Americans cut much more weight. I have nothing against Ross at all infact i have alot of respect for him, as for Schilling I only know what I saw here and that isnt enough to make me dislike a fighter. My point was I personally am not a fan of weight cutting and it is nowhere near as popular in Thailand as it is in western culture. stop being a troll
Makes me laugh to see all the Thai talk shit, saying they should fight Buakaw. Buakaw is obviously the fucking champ. Muay Thai is about respecting the fighter but that only applies to Thai people when it's Thai vs Thai. They can't stand to see other countries smash their guys. From what I just watched it was 2 out of 3 Americans winning in a Thai sport and the one who lost was close to a draw.
Oh Yeah? Thais talk shit? I don't do keyboard fights, nor do I back off. Americans want to prove they are good at muaythai, but they are not yet there. On the world circuit, they have a long way yet to go. BTW size does matter, and you get a very good fighter who is much larger, to knock out an extremely good fighter. Kaoklai Kaenorasing is about as large as a Thai fighter could get, and he would fight better at 165 lbs. Yet he has the courage to fight any body (for the purse).
saenchai fights at 130 in thailand but walks around 145 your telling me hes not cutting weight? rungravee also fought at a heavier weight this time (132) and was still cutting weight. please dont start making up lies because you dislike the fighter. thanks Tong
Same here Buakaw would destroy him and bring him back down to size he's to cocky he'll get his ass kicked by 95 %of the thai fighters bout i can knockout anyone in the world ma ass looool.
so cool to see how the world really did open up for joe. that is one of the most inspirational parts to the video when the thai trainer talks about that
I love team America and will be watching all Muay Thai and Glory fights that they might ever appear. So proud of these guys.
Joe and Simon had an amazing rematch. It shows that North America have great fighters that entertain the fans that continue to grow. There has been such a large grow spurt and its exciting to see the future of the sport in the US
Thanks for putting so much work in, Jeff. Really world class stuff. I'd like to see more pieces like this.
Joe's a beast. Well deserved win.
I still very happy that this documentary i created a long time ago still has relevance in the sport today. I you support the american athletes or not first become educated in weight classes before being a match maker. Yo thanks for making films like this. You inspire me to make my films better.
awesome series man
Good work. Would love to see more.
Im American and just hearing Joe talk made me want the Thai fighter to win. He is a good fighter, but just do your job, represent your country and nothing else. It takes away from the fighter when they talk alot.
I wouldn't brag about that considering that the Thai guy was at least 12-15 pounds lighter...
If they did weigh in the US fighters must of cut weight, Ross and Schilling were massive compared to the Thai fighters. I've never met a Thai that cuts for fights within Thailand (only going on the few I know).
Not saying this was rigged in any way just not a fan of it if this is the case.
Keep'em coming! Also GREAT music selection! If you don't mind, what's the track at 7:04? Awesome!!!
Great series
Kaoklai has fought guys nearly twice his size, and won. So the size difference isn't something that bothers Kaoklai. Check his fights out on RUclips, the guy is a legend!nProblem is (my guess) that Kaoklai is getting old and aren't as hungry as he used to be.

Good uploads brah. Thanks
Hey jeff where is this gym at... Joe probably said it but where is it?
love this documentary.
Very nice, good words by Joe for a change, great for USA MUAYTHAI. Well done.
What Song/Beat was that , that started up at about 7:05 in?
I wish the had slow motion on RUclips!
What song is that towards the ending interviews?
Great work
What is the song an the end of the video called?

jo always inspiring man "
Thank you!
why? he couldn't even beat simon marcus
bad-ass documentary. good job whoever made it. i like when the credits come in and you see the shadowboxing. nice choice of music too.
Thank you
This was really fun to watch. I've always had an interest in muay thai, but it's really hard to find matches here in America. Hopefully this makes the sport bigger. I also loved the music. Definitely some good shit to listen to while watching.
Hella dope! Props jeff
do they weight the same?
Derekm621

he still shouldnt be gettin downed like that
The problems with American fighters is that they are too cocky and annoying, and every one do it. Seriously, the only one who deserve to be cocky is the champion. enaronch One of them fought Seanchai to a close decision, genious.
That was great.
@yam831 thank you
Agreed
so was saenchai when kevin ross fought him but saenchai still won...no americans are ready for top lumpinee champions in there prime now dude...nobody in the world for that matter...the thais are the best and always will be...
To create awareness
I like the way Simon Marcus Knocked him out
That was brutal. It seemed like the muay thai style trip takedown made joe smash his head on the canvas and thats where it went downhill tho
Joe Schilling has a very good body for Muay Thai.
Kaoklai's technique is better but... Joe's power beat him.
@grkchick Thanks for the compliments. it is people like yourself that appreciate the hard work my team and I did to create this. He didn't retire he came back again, go read his wikipedia.
@thank you tronthadon1
Training the style and wearing the kit doesn't make one an automatic nak mauy. just a thought.
Of course not, these fights were just for TV shows.
I wanted to see the Thai promoter/trainer comment on Joe's victory!
@drjinlchi what happens when these fighters can not get fights over seas? One reason that these fighters are getting international fights is due to American promoters brining international talent to build the sport in the USA.the French have done it, the Aussies, the Dutch. Dang this is a good Charlie Z documentary especially after the bar KO
I have a question:

This fight is not muay thai!
Damn were they the same weight class?
Joe is cool says what he feels that's awesome!!!!!
i don't want to be offense or a looser but size of joe and kaoklai is looks very differrent to me
first to Mr. Dojillo great videos sir and second for those who do read and want a little clarification or better yet a little more light on this..... joe vs buakaw plz :D
K-1 in America?
love muay thai
But Joe is really good, really really good!
Buakaw been doing MT for 22 years til he retired this year. Give the guy credit for winning near untouched, but if you train MT don't look at him as a role model..He's obviously very cocky, and one day another fighter will put him in his place.
These US fighters were fighting B grade or even C grade fighters. I would love to see some REAL thai fights!!
being a veteran football player(american) as well as a veteran rugger, im goin to have to second this motion
he would have no chance against BUAKAW
Cannot agree with you more.
Is that "thai fighter" going to be you?
็He won Kaoklai when KK was old. If He fight with KK before now, KK won for sure. Come to fight other Thai Boxers such as Buakaw, Saiyok , Sudsakon, etc.

Why did you already show in the end of the last episode whos going down? You fucked up all the suspense. That sucks!
God damn........................!
This guy Joe is very cocky and he got lucky with the win. Ross is the real leader. Ross just need to not be too aggressive in a fight and im sure Ross will go so far... Joe need to learn more about what Muaythai and it culture.

I wanna see him fight with Buakaw anyway :D
Narut Nalumpoon buakaw 154lb ......... joe schilling 200lb
+Mohamoud Hassan Kaoklai 175 lb.....joe schilling 200 lb so?

saenchai fights at 130 in thailand but walks around 145 your telling me hes not cutting weight? rungravee also fought at a heavier weight this time (132) and was still cutting weight. please dont start making up lies because you dislike the fighter. thanks Tong
Kaoklai is so out of shape. Look at his body...not the body of the muay thai fighter anymore.
Aww, match with someone who is currently active.
Joe doesn't fight in mma because of the take downs
🤣. You want to reevaluate this statement.
Y'all stop hating on american Thai
You put a shirt on.
;) Oldguy Muay Thai
I'm just jealous...
youtube "marcus vs joe schilling".....it's a fucking LMFAO to joe!
SImon marcus beat joe shilling twice
I wanna see him fight buakaw!
joe schilling is a fucking puncher and no a thai fighter...
Same here Buakaw would destroy him and bring him back down to size he's to cocky he'll get his ass kicked by 95 %of the thai fighters bout i can knockout anyone in the world ma ass looool.
Lol doesnt work very well then does it?. Americans are awful at Muay Thai....
