Older video I know, but be aware that the link mechanism is plastic to generally act as a safety valve of sorts for the swirl flaps. If the oil separator (rear of passenger side head) isn't maintained it will allow engine oil to be drawn into the intake thru the throttle body. This oil will eventually coke up inside the throttle body and at the swirl flaps. If the metal swirl flaps jam up, they will break the plastic actuator rod or link usually before the flaps themselves break and possibly cause severe engine damage from metal fragments. Replacing the plastic link/rods with metal may not give you warning that there's a problem with the flaps. Yes, plastic can deteriorate with heat and time but that's usually after quite a few years worth of operation. Your choice, just something to keep in mind. Also very important to keep the oil separator (pcv) in good shape.
