ROLL OUT TURF PREPARATION - Getting ready for TifTuf

The time has come to prepare for the arrival of my special new friend, TifTuf Bermuda Grass. Yesπͺ. Cant wait to have this looking schmick. Ill show you how I go about preparing an area for instant lawn for best results.
A few things to consider when preparing the area;
- I have used a 70/30 loam with organic matter. OM is not essential.
- an absolute minimum grade is 1% across the yard 3% is preferred as a minimum.
- Double check with the supplier sod thickness I have assumed 30mm and have prepared to 40mm as I dont want to finish level with surfaces. It is always best to be a little low as we can pick up levels once its down but, we can not easily reduce levels once turf is established.
- Try and get as flat as possible, it will remove high spots and allow low spots to develop. We can get rid of low spots but not hgih spots.

Thanks for this - I'm getting close to ordering topsoil so was super keen to see how you went about the levelling process. I don't have any fancy laser levelling devices, but I should just be able to use the concrete on either side of the yard and work from there (we'll see how we go!). Bro, you should upgrade your square mouth. I got one at Glynde Mitre 10 that has a handle about 200mm longer. My back has thanked me ever since.
