The Secret of NIMH is one of my favorite movies, but I can understand perfectly well why it's not a movie for everyone. I wasn't sad or offended when Nick said he didn't like it that much. I could understand his views and was glad for his honesty and for giving me perspectives I didn't consider before. About the Pooh debacle, I would honestly dare to say you’d be hard-pressed to find a character more ingrained into people’s nostalgia than him. For a lot of people, maybe me included, he was the first animated character we ever saw as little ones. So I get why the whole thing elicited a…strong emotional response?? But it surely doesn’t excuse hate comments over it. You don’t have the experience that they have and as an adult, you’re naturally going to have a different response and thought process about the thing. And that’s okay! You’re offering a unique RUclips experience! I’m really sorry people have said all those things. But all this to say that again, I think you would be hard-pressed to find another character that would cause an issue like this again. The true fans still stand with you!! 😄💖

      That’s why I love watching reactions of movies that I grew up with. I’m curious to see how they hold up in the eyes of an adult and without nostalgia. Some do and some don’t. And I can’t assume every person to have the reaction that I had. Plus it helps me have a critical eye towards things I haven’t thought about like, yeah, it’s kinda screwed up how Eeyore just GAVE Piglet’s house to Owl. 😂 But I still love Winnie the Pooh for all the shorts, movies, books, and TV shows I grew up with. Point is, if you want watch someone reacting to a movie EXACTLY how you want them to, just record yourself because everyone’s experiences are different.

    • @kitty3999
      @kitty3999 2 года назад +1

      Exactly, for most shows, kids will have a certain attraction to the series or film, and even rewatching stuff as an adult gives you a different view point of the show. For someone whose never seen as it as kid, there's obs going to be some differences in how they feel and what they thought of the show. Since the audience is mainly for kids, it's not going to have the same attraction for adults. Definitely since everyone has their own likes or dislikes of certain genres.
      I enjoy the reactions from people who have never see seen it as a kid, because these shows have been made by adults, and in some ways that kinda allows you to see it through their eyes, see what they were doing for the show and also note what things they added for people who watch it with their kids.
      And like, for me, I adores Winnie the pooh, watched a lot of it, Piglet was and still is my favourite character, and watching it as an adult, you notice more things or realise how strange some of the outcomes happened.
      I adores the Piglet movie as a kid, but I'm only realising that Piglet wasn't even in his own film, it was more about what great things he did in the past, but never saw the growth. Though in some ways you can see it as that Piglet did have the strenght and smarts to pull off everything, but because he was a 'small' character the show never bothered to show what he could do.
      Also finding out how much I don't really like Owl XD He's just oblivious or makes things worse, mainly to move the plot along but still.
      We also get to understand Rabbit more as an adult, as a kid most probably thought he hated fun or was too strict with everything, but if Rabbit wasn't there, everyone would be in such a mess. He really helps them out a lot. (He also has more to loose in adventures because unlike everyone else whose stuffed, Rabbit is a real Rabbit and could get hurt)

      One guy hated me for being in that film and said "It's not fair you get to do what you want while I'm stuck with a wife and kids!" XD LOL!!! Made me realize even more I'm doing things right for myself. And I cut him off immediately with no hesitation. It was awesome!

    This is very loosely based on a book by E.B. White. In the book, Stewart just happens to look like a mouse and be mouse-sized. He is actually born to human parents (weird, I know) and not an orphan. I think the book was just about him getting lost and going on an adventure.

    Michael J. Fox is the actor for Stuart Little. He's the one who voiced Chase the Pitbull from Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey and Lost in San Francisco. You may know his other movies, such as Back to the Future, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and many more.
    Nathan Lane is the actor for Snowbell. He's the one that voiced Timon from The Lion King back in 1994, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride in 1998, Timon and Pumbaa (1995-1999), and The Lion King 1 1/2 in 2004. Oh, it's okay Nick if you don't agree with things that the mass majority of people like. You have your opinion and that is okay because it is yours, and if people are shocked or mad by that, that is just them. People sometimes take things quiet personally when it comes to movies or characters that they like and it's hard for some to separate their opinions and yours.
    I take your views and opinion openly not knowing if you will enjoy or not, but I watch to see just how you do. If you dislike something I like, while it may be sad you don't like it, I understand and see your view points and I respect your choices. And that is what matters most.
    But please yes take your mental health carefully and do what is best for yourself. But never feel bad for not liking something that's popular or nostalgic for a lot of people. You are unique with each of your views and reactions. It's what makes you yourself! Plus I do like seeing the opposite views to me when those views do come about.
    Sorry for the ramble above but I hope it can help cheer you up a little.
    Now about the movie, I wanna say first about the music. Reason why you like it so much and it's so good is because it's composed by Alan Silvestri who has done the Back to the Future films, Polar Express, the 4 Avengers films, and much more!!
    I never really saw this movie for myself at least as far as I can remember but I did see the trailer many times on a old VHS I had. But it is a cute dynamic but yeah some of logic parts are odd lol. But glad you could still enjoy!

    Dude it’s fun to share your own genuine thoughts. No matter if it’s universally popular or not very liked. I know when we give our honest opinions, it’s taken personal because we don’t share the exact same enthusiasm or takes as that guy etc. But as long as we respect them, it’s not knock on anyone who disagrees. It’s a scary environment to be in when you feel like your attacked all because you don’t share the very same feelings. I appreciate your honesty, and genuine responses man. That’s part of the fun. Engaging, and grasping what hits us differently emotionally. Even if we share the same opinions, we take it differently in some form. That’s the great experience about movies. Especially when someone doesn’t have as much privilege to be attached to certain characters or never had the nostalgia to go off of. Just because something doesn’t hit you as hard, doesn’t always mean you don’t recognize the draw or why it worked. Just focus on the majority that respects you’re opinions, and will be there no matter what. We enjoy your drama free positivity.
