Good seeing you again Max. After graduation, hope you join the PERKINS BROTHERS Group. Good luck Max. As always, great job Guys, Thank you for all the tips and PRO Tips.
Yay Max is here ! I hope school is going well for you. Come back again over the summer if you can. Schooling is only part of the picture, OJT is the next piece and lastly is experience. 👍
pro tip Eric. You can buy an extension that clips between your harness and the rope and makes it much easier to clip in. I have shoulder problems too, and this way you can clip in yourself. Love your show!
You guys are doing such a nice job.....its so much fun to watch your videos and watch the progress of that wonderful home being built for a family I believe you guys may know personally.
Great job to whole crew, I love the atmosphere you all create and whenever I watch one of your videos (PBB's or Jay's, i love both) I always feel mesmerized. As always the editing is top notch and all the explanations on what you all are doing is clear and easy to understand for everyone, including me that have never built nothing. Good to see Max back. Thank you for building with us 👏
These episodes are just so quick, can we please please have a bonus longer episode........ Thanks for the cool kit, hoodie and cap arrived in time for Christmas in UK. Really nice quality and a bonus of zip tape on the box, nice touch. Keep up the great work.
Hey Max, I'm afraid of heights too. But seeing you be brave enough to sit on the edge of the roof and get the job done helps me think that I'll be able to do that too, if needed. Keep it up.
What a welcome back for Max. 😂Especially as he doesn't love heights. I really like that block wall. Would love to see more footage about it. It is not something I have seen before.
Perkins, I’m not a builder but I watched the whole builder belt ad just to give a few pennies to the channel. Love the content. Using the guide on a skill saw was the one thing my teacher in shop class missed in 1986. My grandpa was quick to remedy that when we built his well house. Turns out the guide is only as accurate as the quality of the saw. Pawpaw insisted on Milwaukee because the blade was dead on with the guide.
Watching the videos, I always recommend, especially on large projects to either rent or buy and own so much scaffolding you can stage everything off to the point you aren’t worried about things falling. It’s so much nicer and better I think than a boom lift.
Love the video, as always guys. Nice to see Max back as well. I love watching your videos, always a treat. I hope you guys can tackle some more big, or bigger projects in the future. You guys are true professionals and that's why I watch. Keep up the awesome work! PS. Probably isn't what I think, and even if it is it wouldn't bother me anyways, but at 16:27 it sure sounds like Jamie says something "unusual" for your crew (at least on camera anyway lol). I can't tell if it is "fun" or something that rhymes with "truck" ??? I must have listened to it 30 times and still can't tell.
Hi Eric, Glad to see safety is important on your sites - in particular harness and rope off on roof pitches. I'm not a safety pro but have spent lots of time in my 35 year career in areas requiring harness lanyard use at elevation and in confined spaces. I noticed the anchor ring location on the back of your harnesses were not high enough. They should be located high up between your shoulder blades to minimize injury in the event of a fall arrest. Might want to ask someone in the Safety business in your area. Milwauke manufactures tool lanyards for various tool weights and applications including grip tape for tools without lanyard attachment points. Like your videos! Dave - in Canada
Erick, please include a link for the retaining wall system on the description. 😅 Is the roof going to be standing seam? And are you going to install a photovoltaic system on top?
The Perkins Crew are slaying this mega modern home build, it was good to see Max back working with the Perkins crew again. I've been using a lever-lock tape for 18 months now, and as far as a measuring tape goes its great, I've never had any issues with ithe TM even after dropping it onto hard flooring from height and off a roof its still going strong, I do like the way it locks the tape as you pull out tape no matter what gap you're measuring... Cheers for the slick edit and reel Eric...
I used "regular" tape measures all my life but the first time I used a Leverlock I fell in love with it. I recently got the Milwaukee version of this and I love it too.
This house building playlist has kept me sain during my exam weeks, thank you boys! Im an space engineering student, it sure is nice watching something else then just math🤙🏼
Have a Kobalt tape measure like that and I love it. Also is magnetized at the end. Just has seemed easier to use. And to control when retracting it. It’s the only one I ever grab for anymore.
HI PERKINS BUILDER BROTHERS!! I was just watching RUclips shorts and came across a new piece of roofing equipment product called the PITCH HOPPER. It could prove very useful for safety and comfort when applying shingles. I don't know if you are going to install shingles, but maybe it could be used for one of your future constructions. I DO NOT work for the company that makes the pitch hoppers. I am in fact a kid from Australia who loves to watching your videos. Thanks for making amazing videos.
I use and love the Lever Lock tapes. For me it is much easier that it automatically locks when I am having to lean at an odd (an possibly not the safest) angle from my ladder because I don't need the other hand to lock the tape.
Can't blame Max for being a little fearful of the height. I just realized Erik looks and sounds like Bob Vila. I don't mean that as an insult either. Love the channel. I've been catching for a few years now.
Love yur work guys. Aussie in Thailand here & love this build of Jeremy’s home. You’d never find anything like this here as for one, no “qualified” local professional builders; and secondly, they’ve no imagination to design, plan or build anything like this either. Thirdly, they’ve very limited materials, resources, tools and know how. No house build qualified plumbers, electricians, concretors or block layers and they can’t mix concrete to manufacturers specifications if their lives depended on it. If anyone did build something like this here, sure on the outside it’d look done but peel back the layers you’d be left scratching and shaking your head as to how & why to pick up the pieces falling off after they’ve left the site. Keep up the great work. Love it.
19:55 I have one of this kind of tapes, its in in the toolbox where I keep all of my measuring tools and tapes. Sometimes I use it, I dont mind it and got used to it pretty quick. Few people who have worked on site next to me and asked to borrow a tape measure, took this one without knowing that it was this type. For all of them, it was the first time using one like this, none of them liked it
I love locking tape measures, I use Milwaukee’s self locking tapes for woodworking because it allows me to take a measurement in a weird position when I’m doing furniture pieces lol
I have 3 of those level-lock tape measures. I don't use them all the time but certain projects I prefer them. I've thrown out several tape measures because they don't measure the same as the ones I use all the time.
I'm the furniture maker and i use this type of tape, I work with small numbers very often and so that I don't have to pull out the tape measure every time 500 times a day, this tape measure is 100% what you need

Is this a spec or is it a presold?
New Perkins Builder Brothers videos have really become one of the highlights of my after-work routine.
Same here. Can't say it's about to bounce out of my after-work highlights anytime in the future
Yess, I love building houses, and then going home to watch other people build houses!
That retaining block system is the nicest I ever seen by far
Thanks for harnessing up guys🙏🙏. Project is looking great. Nice to see Max as well.
Good seeing you again Max. After graduation, hope you join the PERKINS BROTHERS Group. Good luck Max. As always, great job Guys, Thank you for all the tips and PRO Tips.
He sure does fit into the crew like an old hand, and with Arlo retired they are still a man down.
Yay Max is here ! I hope school is going well for you. Come back again over the summer if you can. Schooling is only part of the picture, OJT is the next piece and lastly is experience. 👍
Wow Erik, you really slayed that editing!
underrated comment 🤣
pro tip Eric. You can buy an extension that clips between your harness and the rope and makes it much easier to clip in. I have shoulder problems too, and this way you can clip in yourself. Love your show!
Awesome job. Good to see Max back.
OMG. At 10:09 that shot of the mountains from the roof was absolutely gorgeous. Caught me off guard. Loved it!
I wouldn't trade these WNC hills for any other view in the world. The most Beautiful place I've ever been.
Ray is a sweet guy, I like his attitude. 👍
Good to see Max back.. Young, have a passion to learn, and gives fresh energy.. Well done guys
It’s awesome to see it completely dried in on the roof! Man that’s a massive house
The location for this house is incredible, the views are breath taking. Your customer is a lucky man. Shout out from UK
So awesome to have Max back. This build is coming along nicely.
Max, I feel you on the heights! Just watching this video made my hands and feet tingle.
I started feeling dizzy and nauseous at 13:55. jesus...
😂 I thought I was the only one
good, wasn't just me (shiver)
My heart started jerking I do that if I'm watching a movie when the camera pans out from any height. 😮
You guys are doing such a nice job.....its so much fun to watch your videos and watch the progress of that wonderful home being built for a family I believe you guys may know personally.

As an apprentice myself it’s cool seeing max being treated well. Some of the foreman I’ve had have not been so kind.
I've been there back in the day. It was so bad it made me quit. Just keep at it and know not everyone is an a$$h0le.
Each video - I’m so amazed at this build. Really enjoy following, good to see Max helping y’all.
These episodes are just so quick, can we please please have a bonus longer episode........
Thanks for the cool kit, hoodie and cap arrived in time for Christmas in UK. Really nice quality and a bonus of zip tape on the box, nice touch. Keep up the great work.
I'd take a live cam with elevator music at this point :D
Thank you again for the amazing video!
Your team is amazing!
Its nice to see Max is back. Would be a great addition to be a full time team member.
The plumber called out the need to build out the wall to center on the window. You have a fantastic plumber!
Great seeing Max on site and in the video! Great young man and solid worker!
What an amazing house and building crew! You guys are absolutely crushing it! ❤
Max is the man. Very cool retaining block system. Good work on the framing as always.
Hey Max, I'm afraid of heights too. But seeing you be brave enough to sit on the edge of the roof and get the job done helps me think that I'll be able to do that too, if needed. Keep it up.
Those level-lock tape measures are great, until you drop them. They become never-locks much easier than you would hope!
What a welcome back for Max. 😂Especially as he doesn't love heights. I really like that block wall. Would love to see more footage about it. It is not something I have seen before.
Hi Max, welcome back for the break. I’m sure you’re back at school by now but it was good to see how you are doing.
You guys are totally awesome!!!!!
Whatever Brock wants for that machine you MUST get it for the future jobs.
Perkins, I’m not a builder but I watched the whole builder belt ad just to give a few pennies to the channel. Love the content.

Max et al, I’m woozy just watching you guys “ up” there. Hang on guys- you have my admiration.
I ONLY use leverlock! Love them. Instead of having to push the slide every time, it just stays!
19:45 Max savage. :D Good to see you back, buddy.
I appreciate your guys channel so much. I’ve learned so much from the past few years watching you guys work 💙💪🏻

Welcome back, Max!! Yay for Ray and his tape tossing ability!!!
Keep Hammering guys! That project has to be the biggest build I’ve seen you do!
I cant even begin to guestimate how much this house is going to cost in the end... Going to be absolutely gorgeous...
Love the auto locking tape measures. I am mostly doing woodworking so it's very handy for precise marking.
keep up the good work you do day in and day out
Hey Max ❤ great to see you back ❤
I used "regular" tape measures all my life but the first time I used a Leverlock I fell in love with it. I recently got the Milwaukee version of this and I love it too.
20:00 I like the Lever Lock style especially when I am working by myself.
Glad max is back with the gang.. didn't know he is still schooling, good for him...
i love that you think quite far ahead when building to make later parts easier on yourself, or the other workers who will come in later
This house building playlist has kept me sain during my exam weeks, thank you boys! Im an space engineering student, it sure is nice watching something else then just math🤙🏼
Ayo Max is back! Great to see him back learning the trade!!!
Happy New Year, greeeeeeetings from Mexico
I've got a fear of heights too and get hypnic jerks every time you are out over the edge of the roof lol

Love the Lever Lock tape. Very intuitive and helpful design. Milwaukee makes a similar design with a top lever button.

I love this. I get to watch my favorite show. And I am so close to you guys. I'm here in Western North Carolina watching my favorite channel.
