I used to hate LS swaps, I still do on certain cars that already have perfectly good engines. But I've done multiple engine swaps myself and for me it's always been "how can I make this as fast as possible for as little money as possible?" so I completely understand and I'm not mad about the LS. No one should be mad about it anyway. It's your car, your choice.
I thought you'd get an E92 V8, but an LS is still cool and also reliable, so I'm good.

I'm new to this channel so I don't know if he has a strict budget, but these engines are super expensive. Besides, it's his car, I think we should be happy that we can even see such a sick build.

@@madoba8717 I suppose it's because LS builds are very common. Or generic. You pretty much see builds like this everywhere (LS swapping), and I suppose people where hoping for something different, something new.
Michael Fernandez i understand, but andre has made it clear that this build is already too expensive as it is, and his channel is fairly small and not big enough to generate the budget to afford a more fitting v8, as much as id love him to put in another engine, you can’t find one that is as affordable as the LS

I don't know why they dislike this awesome M3 GTR vid, i mean there's nothing wrong explaining and putting V8. WHYYYY?
Because most of subscribers expected from Andre to build a perfect replica of the Most Wanted M3 GTR, but he do with he wants whit his car.
It's a lot of money and Time to make a perfect replica. Also He doesn't have that high amount of money to make it "exactly" like the Most Wanted version.
Maybe in the future He Will do that. Obviously with more money, time and popularity.
The M3 GTR still looking so freaking awesome, so say fuck to these children who are angry about that engine choice.

lmao some kid was getting mad on one of the last videos, replying to every LS comment saying it'll be a BMW engine.
Cheap parts, easy to build, compact size, infinite torque. S65 is cool and all but it's bigger dimensionally, weighs more, and just not nearly as practical when money is something to consider.
My mom has an LS3 Holden that has 407Hp, seeing this makes me happy she got the last model of the V8 Commodore series; the SSV Redline.
At first I was confused why the Old motor was going, now I get it. This will be cool and different. Not even mad about the LS.

U should do brake ducting/under trey next. Its inexpensive and is kinda important for track cars. Good choice for a v8 btw im hyped

Well that's good, you can put some serious power into that bad boy.
You are killing it with this build. This thing will be INSANE when you finish. No hard feelings for the LS, its a simple and powerful engine, well worth the swap.
Also get some of that twin turbo v8. Its gonna sound mental when it hits on a 100mph
I respect your decision to use an Ls, but for me, was not the best choice. However I hope you the best man, maybe some turbo 👌🏼
Why add a turbo when he can keep it NA or have a supercharger that is easier to install and it's cheaper than a turbo and feels like a NA engine because no lag and it's also more reliable

@@ethanknight8461 Because the actual M3 GTR had straight cut gears that had that whining sound. Straight cut gears aren't road legal, so to get the whine you have to improvise.

does a 90° V8 hold inherent benefits over a 60° design? (besides space obviously)

I mean, in a case like this the engine bay is practically ridden of everything besides the engine so if you can get space for the intake between the banks it's all good but normally if you wanna stuff a V8 inside a street car with abs, ac, various systems. then having 60° degree banks can actually be more comfortable... am I wrong?
@@Fedethedangerous95 I mean the space thing is more of an LS specific thing. But typically in my experience 90° V8s tend to fit better as far as top-fit goes. Remember that that M3 is made to fit a V8, but the issue with larger displacements is they tend to be much taller. With 90° inverted cylinders it allows the injection system to sit lower between both valve banks/covers. This is due to it being single point EFI. Granted, you can always upgrade your injection system.
Again though, the nice thing about the low profile of the motor is that he has room to potentially supercharge without needed a rediculous looking bulged hood.

tbh, this is one of the few car builds that I'm fine if the owner's going ls swap. idk why but this build itself is already unique.
My LS6 with Cam, intake, and cheap longtubes and my stock 862 truck heads made 423hp to the wheels through a 4l80e on 93oct(redline is 7200 now but could go 7500-7800 no probs with the right oilpump). This should be making WAY more than 400whp. Like at least 480+ through a manual if the heads are any good and cam a good size and if that's a ls6 intake.

While it’d be epic to get the proper GTR engine, the LS is perfectly understandable re cost and such. With or without a BMW engine, the project is incredible.

I followed this project from the beggining (when it didnt had wide bodykit ,spoiler and side pide exhaust) and i cant believe how far you made it ,i keep watching the progress and i think there will be not any other BMW like this in the world

This is AWESOME bro, you are putting in some serious work into this car! I was expecting you to stick to the v6 but I think you got a pretty good deal on the wrecked drift car. You're doing fine with picking up that LS engine, it seems like it will fit really well and put the power down. But DAMN you have a mess in that garage! I can't imagine having to clean that up haha.

Hey man, love the video and the progress you have made so far on your build. Not a bad choice for an engine since LS motors are known to take a beating. I’d recommend you put something like a 4 liter Whipple on it, forged crank, pistons, and rods (if that’s not already on it), a mechanical fuel pump so you always have plenty of fuel pressure, fuel rails, dry sump oil pan to maintain oil lubrication, and then some sort of an aftermarket Ecu to manage your motor functions and allow you to monitor everything so you don’t end up grenadine your engine. You’ll probably want to work on getting your diff built up before this along with your brakes and tires. All being said, you’ve got a kickass project and I hope to see more from ya! Cheers!

IMO a s65 would’ve been ideal especially with a straight cut conversion, but that would be really expensive

LS original sound like pure muscle,so if you want to make gtr sound you must swap to flatplane+equal header+straight cut+forged induction if you want
I personally would have gone with the S65 out of the E92 M3, but this is still a cool build nonetheless.

Hoonigan is building a e36 v8 you should have a look as they're running an edlebrock duel throttle body intake kit and a Ac delete kit, looks like some 458 shizz would be awesome in this

The actual engine from the M3 GTR would be impossible to get because theres about as many M3 GTRs as I have fingers, and if he had the money to get an M3 GTR engine he would've started the build with actually buying an M3 GTR road car.

Understandable! If you had infinite amount of money and still chose the LS, I'd be mad...but how things are for you rn...LS is the way to go. Cheap, easy to rebuild and way more horsepower numbers. Just a suggestion tho...try to build a custom header to make it sound less like an LS...if you can...
Edit: oh and try to get the McFarland fabrications turbo kit too😜🤣🤣

What about a V8 from the TVR Cerbera 4.5? I have heard that to nail the sound of the car The sound department used the Cerbera so you’ll be able to recreate the in game sound (Just my opinion, I don’t know if is worth it or if you‘ ve already search it. Also, I don’t know if TVR engines are reliable like Ls ones)

Mishimoto radiator and Mishimoto fan, thermostat and thermal switch will help you a lot, instead a fancy switch in the dash to power on the fan like a lot of people do. Just a tip.
ZeNix D.K. Yeah the ecu already has a wire for a fan so when it gets to certain temp it turns on

Well it's not a bad idea I personally was going to ls swap the first nissan I plan on buying then all my car guy friends looked at me funny and asked what's wrong with me and I slapped them with facts cause 1 from what I've seen alot of people ls swap their nissan's for yes when they drift cars which is kind of the plan and rb's are not cheap so like yeah price wise I would even resort to an ls I believe you're going to have alot of fun with it and I hope your build turns out to be the ass kicker you want it to be I love the content you make I can't wait for more vids on the build 👍
