I worked there as a subcontractor on the last 2 ships in the early 2000's,yard was closed in early 2003 and is now IHC and Hollandia.

This was very interesting for me. Thank you ever so much. my grandfather used to work for Van der Giessen-de Noord, but he died when I was a child, so I am interested in all these kinds of things, to learn about him.

I worked 9 years in the deep endeavor, it was my home and it was a magnificent ship, i. miss my ship 😭
