- One of the most common questions I hear from people: "Aren't you afraid of moving up there at your age?" I'll answer that question in this video.

I wish I had never made the trip. It's all I think about now!! It was a 40-year dream, and it doesn't disappoint!!!
@@ashleyanderson2859 I understand. I've been obsessed since 2018. I knew ai wanted to live there from day 1.
Blessings, trust in God
@@mpat100 Thank you and I am doing just that. 😊
You are never too old to follow your dream. I moved to Alaska, finally found my dream property in 2020, still not completely dried in. Another winter w/o metal on my leaking roof. Just turned 64 last month. Came from Virginia. Didn't like the cold/ snow for same reasons. Came to Alaska after a vacation here, like you, it called me here....home. I call it "heaven's backyard !!" Ya'll will do great here !! Yes, it's hard, but you also learn that you are stronger in all aspects than you ever thought. Also, you build up your muscles, heart rate, breathing, immunity, etc. on a daily basis ! I watch some of the other AK shows, but each of you offer your own unique situation, location, and skills . I enjoy yours bc, it's 2 ladies doing this. I am a single older woman, little income, just trying to survive & live out my dream of being here. It's a struggle every day, but at least I am " living my dream" ❤instead of " rocking my way to the funeral home", 😅 !!!
@@sheilakaropchinsky6598 Thank you for the encouragement and I agree with you 100%. I am learning that things happen very slowly up there. I'm ready to take on the challenge and I am like you, I do not want to spend my golden years in a rocking chair.
When is the actual move taking place?

Very nice vlog.
@@Butterfly19708 Thank you.
I Say “Go for It!” I am 70 and have been disabled for 5 years, however I came to Tasmania to live from the Mainland of Australia 14 years ago. I am now so glad I did. This is a Paradise Island and I just love it here. Now that I cannot walk, I can still go for drives and see the wonderful Countryside. The trees and the animals and it is so refreshing and healing for my soul. Everyone thought I was acting weird, but eventually 3 of my 4 daughters followed me and they Love it here also. God bless you both. GO FOR IT. We are still alive so live the life God gave you, and do all you want to do before you end up like me. Not all aged people end up in a wheel chair like me, so you may be mobile for a long time still. Looking forward to watching your videos.
@@christinewinner6425 Thank you so much for the encouragement. Glad you are living your dream also.
❤🐻❄🥶I vote yes!! And The Good Lord willing-->You should move up to Alaska!!🙏🏽💖

@@OldSchoolAlaska Bummer. Thanks for tuning in. This is the first time I've tried the premiere so I will probably do it again sometime because I like to chat to get to know people.
Great attitude and ambition. You are perfect for Alaska and Alaska is perfect for you.
That is very nice of you to say. Thank you.
Alaska has got to be close to what heaven looks like. You will love Alaska. Welcome!😊
@@Oursimplelife907 I know heaven will be so much better but Alaska's a pretty cool place. I have no doubt I will love it as long as I can make it through winter lol
