I don't know much about Chainsaw Man yet, but the opening slaps so hard that I had to remix it. This was one of the hardest songs I've covered so far, the mixing it had made it very difficult for me to hear some chords, specially the ones the guitar plays, so I had to get help from a guitar and a bass cover, and then, guess the notes of the little ornaments based on the scale of the song. I also went a bit crazy with the sound design, the most fun part of it was trying to recreate the little scream that appears sometimes haha. By the way, please note that this remix is around 3 bpm slower than the original because Famitracker can't handle odd bpm numbers very well.

This is much unlike other 8-bit covers out there. It really feels like this is what 8-bit music should be, not just a few beeps and boops put in the correct order to sound like a song. WE NEED CRUNCH
VRC6 chip's excellent usage helps a lot. I have to empathise, excellent usage. Because VRC6 doesn't solve anything without using it right. Only a few real Famicom game used it, like the Japanese version of Castlevania III.

I can’t explain it but this version conveys the feeling the song was trying to convey way better. Maybe because all the instruments are less subtle and more apparent. Like 0:23 is more pronounced

hi im commenting on this again bc it came up in my playlist. this song is literally so so so good i can’t get over it. those crunchy drums give my life . the wobbly synths . the TEXTURE of it all . the original is already excellent but this arrangement is SO fucking good . blasting this as i sing along as loud as i can even if i don’t always hit the notes . i love this song.
