    Answer 1:33:49
    The Andes, running along South America's western side, is among the world's longest mountain ranges. Its varied terrain encompasses glaciers, volcanoes, grassland, desert, lakes and forest. The mountains shelter pre-Columbian archaeological sites and wildlife including chinchillas and condors. From Venezuela in the north, the range passes through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.

    I have a doubt - how are the tectonic plates categorised as oceanic plates and continental plates..?

    • @MagnetBrainsEducation
      @MagnetBrainsEducation  2 года назад +6

      Thank you for your question! The tectonic plates are categorised as oceanic plates and continental plates according to their composition. Oceanic plates are made of dense, dark rocks called basalt, while continental plates are made of lighter, less dense rocks, such as granite.
