I actually know someone who keeps large amounts of cash in the house. My co worker at the post office did not use banks, told me he paid for his kids tuition in cash 🤷🏽♀️
I wanted JJ to tell that creep to stop staring at Karen or have Byrd stand in between. But for the love of God, have them sign something if you're gonna loan someone money in cash. I hate that she lost $3500!
How did Judy not call him out for the way he was staring at her, she usually shuts that stuff down pretty quick, he was clearly trying to intimidate her.
Pro tip, if the guy or gal your dating is asking for money within a month of dating, run immediately. Give them money now, they'll want more next week, more next month, more, more, more....
But what everyone is missing here is that the plaintiff isn't telling the truth. She was the one trying to lock him in. He said "I can't just move up there. I have 9 months left on my lease and that will mess up my credit". He wasn't in a rush to live with her, not a man with his own place. She's the one who insisted that he break the lease and she gave him the money to do it. That's why she has no proof!
I hope she got a restraining order on him after this. The amount of times that he stared her down to intimidate her during the court proceeding, was enough to get one. This guy has some real issues.
He wasn't trying to intimidated her. She was trying to get him to leave his apartment and move in with her, but now he's trying to intimidate her?! No, he's looking at her like that because she's flipping the script on him!
JJ does NOT act impartially. She loses patience too often with litigans. I would rather go before Judge Milan. JJ shows her emotions but tells litigans not to show theirs. She is a hypocrite.

Plus I'm actually angry with judge judy for not telling him to back away from karen and stop intimidating her. Alot of other people saw that too in the last 2 videos. What a creep!
Because he had plans to actually marry her. I'm willing to bet he used some of the $3500 to pay for it. She was just rushing and controlling everything.
It would sound weird to me if someone didn't keep emergency cash in their home, especially nowadays. The economy is crap, big banks are going bankrupt and the covid lockdowns (who knows if something similar or worse could happen in the future?) We a huge steel safe thats bolted to the floor. Important paperwork, firearms, valuables and most importantly emergency cash is what we keep in keep in there. Its stupid to allow big banks and by proxy the government to have control of every penny you have. Not to mention all the stories lately of big banks freezing or closing people's accounts with no notice or reason leaving them completely at the mercy of the bank as they have no money to survive without their account. People please if you can keep at least some spare cash in a safe place at home so you're not at the mercy of any of these big banks and/or the government.
Even with cash you are still at the mercy of the government because its value hinges on the government’s economy not collapsing. Look at what happened to Germany after WWI. Someone made a dress out of money to show how worthless it was. I have been to countries where I would only exchange some of my US money because some local people didn’t like accepting their own currency. If all hell broke loose I would rather have a stockpile of food to barter with than money.
I hope the plaintiff gets some of her money back and has learned not too trust anyone until you get to know the person or do a back ground check. The more she talks, the more desperate, she was. Of course he asked you to marry him he was going to use you. You are fortunate you got away from him and don't GO BACK TO HIM.
No, she suggested that he marry her. I don't think he was opposed to the idea, but I honestly believe it was the plaintiff that was doing all of the rushing and used her money to help persuade him. She didn't get scammed.
You can tell she's afraid of him. Listen to how shaky her voice was when he was staring her down like that. If you're an honorable man, you wouldn't do that. If you had truth on your side, you would stand up with your head held up high. And you wouldn't stare a woman down because you would know you had truth on your side. But no, you have to try to intimidate her
IMHO I don't think the woman should get any money back. Take this as a learning lesson and do not give a man 3500 dollars a month after meeting. Within that same month buy him a 12,000 dollar car that had to be put on credit cards. He is not a nice guy but she is going to keep doing this if she doesn't have an expensive lesson.
None of it makes him a bad guy. He had no intentions of using her. He wanted to date, she wanted to get married. He said I can't move in with you because I have a 9 month lease. She said here's the money to break it and get your butt up here immediately. Why no one sees this is beyond me.
What is wrong with people??? If you meet someone and within and short amount of time of knowing them they need to "borrow" money from YOU (someone that hey just met) THEN DON'T DO IT. Them asking you for money means that their credit at the bank is ruined, they have maxed out their credit cards, their family is done "lending" them money, their friends are done "lending" them money so they have to go out and get a NEW girlfriend or boyfriend to suck money out of and never pay them back. Are people so lonely that they'll make stupid decisions just to have someone around???
He didn't ask her to borrow no $3500. She gave him $3500. There's a huge difference. He told her about his lease so she wouldn't expect him to move in with her. She threw the money at him so he no longer had an excuse not to move. She was controlling him!!!
I feel for people that are so lonely they need to meet on line. But Jesus Caramba! Common sense, people who really want to get to know you, for you. WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR MONEY!!!
He didn't scam her. SHE wanted him to come and live with her. He said he couldn't because he still had 9 months on his lease. Anyone else would have left it at that, but the plaintiff gave him the money to break the lease in order to eliminate his excuse for not being able to move in with her.
Let's get real. You really think she saw Mr. Nice Guy in him. I'd be interested in seeing how she described herself and her needs on line. Why do you think she resorted to an online dating app.

This is the comment I came to see!
The way the defendant is starring at the plaintiff is a clear indication he’s trying to intimidate her.
It’s creepy the way he keeps staring at her when she’s talking.
"You started dating, things progressed really quickly" RED FLAG.
I can’t stand it when JJ says people don’t have cash laying around the house. Lots of people do keep cash. I do. I save all year to have cash stowed away.
As smart as she is sometimes she can be so ignorant.
Same I keep cash hidden away at home. My mom on the other hand has thousands of dollars under her mattress lol
Well, you don't have to take everything she says to heart, you know. If Judge Judy said the sky was blue, you'd argue that it's green. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

She's saying the plaintiff dug her own grave.
Because she knows that if she did give him $3500 her lack of documentation proves that it wasn't a loan. Why would he ask her for money to break his lease to come live with her?He already has a place to stay. Doesn't make sense. She wanted him there so she gave him the money.
The way he eyed her down... he was trying to intimidate her! Judge Judy should have said something
“so $3500 gone.”
“pardon me?”
“ $3500 GONE.” 😂😂😂
Mr Pleasant? I can’t with these names!!
Why on earth do you give someone you met a month ago 3500 $ cash????
Because the poor woman fell for the schmuck’s fake affection. She clearly has self esteem issues and he took full advantage of her. Very sad indeed because she seems like a nice lady.

What is going on here? Why is Judge Judy being so mean to this woman who looks absolutely terrified of the man who is trying to intimidate her without any intervention from Byrd or Judge Judy…
Because his body language isn't to intimidate her. It's his reaction to her lies. Judge Judy knows that she's not being completely honest as well.
I actually know someone who keeps large amounts of cash in the house. My co worker at the post office did not use banks, told me he paid for his kids tuition in cash 🤷🏽♀️
I cracked up 😂 when JJ said ring ring
When a guy asks for money…. Hello 👋 😮😮🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
"It's time to move on..."
To the next victim
I wanted JJ to tell that creep to stop staring at Karen or have Byrd stand in between. But for the love of God, have them sign something if you're gonna loan someone money in cash. I hate that she lost $3500!
How did Judy not call him out for the way he was staring at her, she usually shuts that stuff down pretty quick, he was clearly trying to intimidate her.
He had absolutely no reason to try an intimidate her. She wasn't scared of him neither.
The plaintiff looks a lot older than the defendant who probably saw her as a easy target
They're probably around the same age...black people usually age a bit better. My parents are 60 and people still think there in their early 50's.
Her voice is so shaky it makes her sound older.
@@Nothanku_she is older, trying to look younger…

Pro tip, if the guy or gal your dating is asking for money within a month of dating, run immediately. Give them money now, they'll want more next week, more next month, more, more, more....
Agreed. Run for the hills and never look back. You’re better off alone.
He saw you coming a mile away. Swindler!
Part 2 PLEASEEEE
defendant: zero papers on his desk...
Oh Karen… you got scammed girl! Sad.
The older I get , the more respect I have for Judge Judy
This is so sad, I can hear her voice trembling because he is just giving her the death stare
Don't show me a bunch of papers! 🤣
Defendant is definitely a taker but the Karen is gullible so a perfect mark. Things aren't going to end well for Karen I think.
But we haven't heard the Defendant's side
@iykeharrison9161 don't have to, she has zero proof.
Maybe you need to watch part 2 & 3 & 4. He's a taker! And a scammer. Saw a target and took advantage of it. Yuck! Nothing less attractive or less manly then a man who is good at charming a woman, says he's in love and just takes, and takes, doesnt give and then lies about it . Big Creep! Plus I'm actually angry with judge judy for not telling him to back away from karen and stop intimidating her. Alot of other people saw that too in the last 2 videos. What a creep!
He didn't try to be a taker. She was very determined to solve whatever problem he had that was keeping him out of the bed with her at night.
What!?! I'm confused. A ring and a repossession of a car don't mix...😂😂😂
Because he had plans to actually marry her. I'm willing to bet he used some of the $3500 to pay for it. She was just rushing and controlling everything.

It’s his last name that’s got me 😂
It would sound weird to me if someone didn't keep emergency cash in their home, especially nowadays. The economy is crap, big banks are going bankrupt and the covid lockdowns (who knows if something similar or worse could happen in the future?)
We a huge steel safe thats bolted to the floor.
The judge lives in a different world and seriously lacks empathy. She's downright nasty sometimes.
If all hell broke loose I would rather have a stockpile of food to barter with than money.
pRaranoid!
I am dying 0:49😂😂😂 girl he doesn’t love you 😂😂 plus I am the girl behind the lady on the left . Like ohhh no he didn’t 😂😂😂. 1:52 I just can’t 😂😂😂
The defendant is loving this. Hes gonna win withoit saying a word 😂
Because Judge Judy knew she wasn't being honest.
Why is she unorganized?
Probably because the predator that scammed her is mere feet away from her and intimidating her as best he can.

"I'm not reading your life story" 🤣🤣
I hope the plaintiff gets some of her money back and has learned not too trust anyone until you get to know the person or do a back ground check.
The more she talks, the more desperate, she was.
Of course he asked you to marry him he was going to use you. You are fortunate you got away from him and don't GO BACK TO HIM.
No, she suggested that he marry her. I don't think he was opposed to the idea, but I honestly believe it was the plaintiff that was doing all of the rushing and used her money to help persuade him. She didn't get scammed.
“DING-A-LING-A-LING-A-LING” 😆
You can tell she's afraid of him. Listen to how shaky her voice was when he was staring her down like that. If you're an honorable man, you wouldn't do that. If you had truth on your side, you would stand up with your head held up high. And you wouldn't stare a woman down because you would know you had truth on your side. But no, you have to try to intimidate her
Why was he allowed to stare her down the entire time? Is he trying to intimidate her?
Pleasant, ironic that's his last name.......... 😠 he should've been told to stop looking at her!
When my dad passed away I found cash all over the house
Desperate people desperate mistakes. We have a society of wolves that prey on the sheep.
The plaintiff better have learned a lesson after this case, the defendant is a scam artist
The plaintiff is all over the place...
PTSD😢
I think she’s just very nervous. Look at how he’s staring her down!
You are wrong Judge Judy, is always necessary to keep cash with you...
Not sure if she’s nervous or not so bright!

Likely both but she's sweet lady. Bet she's kindhearted even when she's not with that user.
I’m amazed she would even contemplate marrying a person like this. Wow. She must be way past desperate. My god.
