My mom’s English bulldog jumped off of her 15’ porch after a cat lol he never missed a beat either. RIP king (he didn’t die from the jump but old age many many years later)

Walk your dog and feed your dog before you leave the house. Your dog doesn't have to go to the birthday party, the grocery store, gym, the etc;

ALWAYS keep them in the shade and provide water. Stale hot air is the enemy of breeds like bulldogs and pugs. Shorter muzzles means less tolerate of heat and extra care needed.

English and American Bulldogs are the most prominent , but there are others.They typically have narrower nasal and throat passages that make it more difficult to cool down, as dogs do by panting. Look up brachycephalic dogs and you'll see a list. They just cannot handle the heat like other dogs 🙏
I dun think its a big deal to bring a dog to a park for a birthday party, but they were clearly negligent about it. I bring my chihuahua to the park all the time but I watch him when hes in the car and make sure he doesnt get out by himself just for the risk of being hit by a car alone

Their short snout makes it hard for them to breathe in the heat or cold even air freshener or perfume can send snort snout dogs into almost dying. Leave your dogs at home if the weather conditions aren’t suitable for them and keep them out of the bed of your truck too!😤
