Nice video. Only tricky part is holding back the brushes so you can slip in the commutator. You might also clean up the brushes and commutator with 600 sandpaper and file down the sharp edges.
You make it look too easy. I think I'd forget how everything goes back together 😂 good vid btw

Hi. If solenoid is no longer functioning. It might be better to replace it. I used hightemp grease which i boight in our local auto supply.

I have an oil leak above my now dead starter and I’m sure it got inside of the starter. Can the oil be cleaned out too or is the starter ruined ?
You can try to dismantle the assembly and try to remove as much oil as you can from the assembly. Once cleaned try to test the starter.

Can brake cleaner be used to clean the magnets and housing interior of the motor?
Hi @@danielebbeling4056 yes it can be use in interior housing of the motor since it is mads up of metal. Just make sure to remove all thr interior components before you apply the btakr cleaner. Brake cleaner can affect plastic, rubber parts and rlrctronic parts so precaution should be observe. For the magnets im not that sure if you can use the brake cleaner.
After how many kilometers does a brand new yaris needs this kind of maintenance please ? 90000km or more ?
Ideally 20000 km or 40000km
@@SundayBuddySolutions Oo thanks . My car has never got such maintenance and i have just reached 90400 km.Sometimes i have a grinding noise at cold start in the morning. 🤔 Then i do not hear it all during the day.

Yes po sir pwede nmn pero sa metal parts lang po. Pwede kasi nya sirain yung mga plastic at rubber parts. Precaution lng nmn po.
Why put gasoline in the starter.thrt's suicidal.
Hi Luke. Yes, I agree that it will be suicidal. That is why when gasoline is used to dissolve carbon deposit, proper precautionary measures should be done (i. e. making sure that you completely remove the gasoline after using it for cleaning)
Gasoline can be an alternative as a cleaning agent if you dont have degreaser 😊
