INCREDIBLE Tiny House OFF-GRID HOMESTEAD | SELF-BUILT

- Nobu built this tucked-away Tiny House Off-Grid Homestead from scratch to create a place for his family to live in harmony with nature. Three years ago, he and his wife Kei moved to the Japanese countryside to start living off-grid, building two tiny houses, growing their own food, foraging, and working with local material like bamboo. They are aiming to live sustainably and are raising their boy, Terra, rooted to the land. This is simply a great real-world example of permaculture.

I love Nobu's attitude. We have been homesteading for over a decade, and I can say it is never easy, but his can-do perspective is inspiring and heartwarming. He nailed it when he spoke about community, because once you've mastered the myriad challenges of homesteading, it is giving back to the community that creates the continuity of generations. Banpuku.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt comment. I actually went to Middlebury, so I'm super pumped to see this video reaching you & my beloved 'home' state :)
@@GrowingSmall You are very welcome. Middlebury is a beautiful campus. I love these videos, so please keep up the good work. :)
Your Grandma would be PROUD
It's wonderful that you revived your Grand Mother's land and gave it
new life.
Love all the tiny structure's built without nail, truly amazing, a peaceful
Haven in a world of chaos.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment!
The whole world will be fulfilled with food by the thanks of Homesteading people are going back to the root & taking ventures to grow their table food...& this trend will make the world as food basket..
"We create a community" - nailed it 🤗
Back to Nature aligned living.
What a great way to live.
Wow! What you and your wife are doing is wonderful and amazing. I love that your homestead is surrounded with lots of bamboo! Bamboo is truly amazing plant. I wish lots of blessings, stay safe and health!
“Creating community”, that’s what it should all be about ❤️.
Love that he named his kid ‘Terra’. ☺️
My biggest dream was to move to Japan with my wife and live off the land . Meet good farmers who can teach and hire for help , after research it seems the visa process brings more complications that it’s taking us longer than we expected and then Covid hit the world . Plans are now stagnated and the place I live is just getting more corrupt and unhealthy . That would be America , learning Japanese aswell so hopeful that if nothing bad happens in the next 5 years I will soon leave to Japan and pursue farming off the grid . If that’s even possible
What a beautiful family ❤️ They seem so happy.
Beautiful video showcasing a wonderful man and his dream come-to-life. His home place is so dynamic and inviting, and seeing everything he and his wife have created brings happiness and peace to us viewers. Would be great to see more of Nobu's daily activities -- the earth-oven being used, the food being prepared. Such happy simplicity, yet so rich and valuable!
2:37 this is a beautiful video that brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for creating this content.

Totemo kirei na tokoro da to omoimasu.
🥰🙏 I would LOVE to do this one day! I also want to be a therapist who helps clients via the internet... Do you all thing this is possible? I love the earth but I also love people. Oh, and I do want to learn Japanese and move to Japan... I have an oddly specific dream for my future 😅
My dream
I need to know his Barber!
Xin chào bạn ❤mình đến từ Việt Nam ❤
Ugh I just want this kind of land so bad, but everything in America is “owned” by the government 😭😭
The instagram link to their journey seems to not working. Can you please send the right link again? Thank you
🥰👏🙏👌👋
My boyfriend and I wish to do exactly what he is doing in the Japanese countryside! Any idea what prefecture he is in? I'm finding it difficult to find information on building your own home here in Japan..
That is incredible, wishing you guys all the best in stepping towards your dream! Nobu and his family are in Okayama, pretty close to Tsuyama. Let me know if you would like to get more info!
this is exploding
It’s so difficult to see young pple to die for jobs
And there it is... my grandmas property. Land is basically unaffordable if you don't have it in the family or are super rich. I hate this world.
everything everyone wanted to leave behind ,..... they could not wait to move to civilization away from lonely old country towns.....Now everyone wants back into nature away from civilization 😂
Haha good luck keeping in nutrients with bamboo terraces lol
Let's see if I find out about the things... Isn't there any permaculture with nails?
I love such videos and I love to learn and get ideas from other cultures. Sharing it with my little community :-) I hope, they will like it, too.
Thanks for sharing!!
what is their instagram account? this link doesnt work.
I call people like this:

They are produce food and piece, not produce "war".
This is the right way to live! May your family continue to be blessed. Thank you.🥰
This is the REAL revolution! For Nature and Humanity

What a beautiful family and lovely surrounding! 🎋
Wow. He's done so well! It's inspiring.
He cut the bamboo forest down, then he used bamboo sticks to stop the erozion caused by deforestation. It's amazing. Insparing, yeah! Give me a chain saw, yeeeeeah!!!
Such a lovely homestaed! 😍
so awesome
Very nicely done! Thank you for sharing your experience.

This is a good plan. Permaculture and tiny living.
Wonderful.
Thanks Jakob! Good to see you back at work. And yes, good to see ppl do some very right things.
Next time I'm in Japan I hope I can volunteer here. I have permaculture skills, an open heart, a good attitude, and my nihongo is ok. I want to contribute, and building community, that's the future, if we want it.
This is so encouraging for me, thank you for sharing this 🙏🏽.
