This is the best ride in all of the parks, in my opinion. The music, the animatronics, and the overall awesomeness makes this ride the ride I remember most, and every time I think about it, I want to go to Disneyland/World.
I came very close to not being able to ride Splash Mountain when I went with my mom and sister this last March (it was during Spring Break at the time). It was closed for refurbishments (as well as the rest of Critter Country) and was supposed to be closed for a few weeks. But they were done with all of the refurbishments a lot sooner, so the entire area was reopened on the last day of our visit (we were supposed to go to Universal Studios Hollywood on that day but changed our minds after finding out that Splash Mountain was going to reopen sooner than they expected).
the wait is usually pretty long, but it's TOTALLY worth it. i used to be terrified of this when i was really little, but now it's one of my favorite rides.

I love this ride...it's been along time since ive road it. But it brings back such happy memories, that my wife and I shared so long ago. Thanks for the wonerful video.
Great video, thanks for the upload. Great ride too! Though I could have done without the getting soaked part lol. I still would have to give the edge to the one in Disney World. You dont get as wet and the scenes aren't rushed. But I like this one too because it feels like a log flume which it is.
I like how rides like this are 9 minutes long, it kinda makes them worthwhile the wait if they are this long compared to ones that are a couple of minutes long :P
I went on it about 17 times. It is my fav. I even bought the picture of my cousin, my aunt, and I on it. We posed as see no evil, hear no evil, andspeak no evil. A lot of people like our picture.
i remember i went on this ride for the first time in june and there was this guy sitting behind one of my friends screaming on the little hills. i'm sure he was just joking around but it was freakin hilarious

When I went there in this ride, I was all the way on the back which is the scariest because even thought you don't see what you're facing, but the back of the boat bumps and all the seats doesn't have belts! I was literally standing, trying to jump out before the end, and then they took a picture, but luckily it didn't show my face. Good thing, because I was making the weirdest face I have ever made in my life!
Wonderful high quality video ! As someone who has been on SM at DisneyWORLD many times, it was interesting to note the differences... I hope to make it out to Anaheim one day... Thanks for this !
@ThePoeticAngel Orlando's Splash Mt has a more cohesive storyline: Brer Frog appears several times as narrator and Brer Fox and Bear are watching Brer Rabbit as he leaves. You also see Brer Fox about to capture Brer Rabbit in the Laughing Place as well. There are less animatronics in the Orlando version, and there is no Burrow's Lament sequence with the mother possum and rabbit.
@MrFatboy719 Yes. It is a double drop. That part of the ride gets people wet the most during the ride (at when I go on it). And the best part about it being in the dark is that you cannot see it coming until you go down the drop.
@potcfan1010 Aha, it doesn't have any form of restraint because it's an extremely safe ride if you follow the safety guidelines. Someone stood up on the final drop and died because of injuries to the head according to a rumor I heard. But in the history of injuries at Disneyland there has never been an accident on this ride because there were no seatbelts. I love that there are no seatbelts because it feels great, and it reassures you that the ride is so safe you don't need them anyway.
Did you know that at the part where the river boat scene is, where there singing zippity do da, the singing foxes where from the old America SIngs the resided in tomorrow land which is now innoventions.
@narutonhiscutebunny The last drop of the ride is exactly 52 feet high with a descent angle of 47.5 degrees. My uncle helped design the attraction and I fully recommend you ride it.

im terrified of this ride xD i would LOVE to riding it once again but the first time i ever rhode it with my dad i was in the front and at the final drop i felt myself lift 2-3 inches off the seat...thats not supposed to happen >.< so im terrified. i love the story of briar rabbit =D
Being the second person on this ride is the best because you don't get wet at all. One time my cousin was the first person, then me, then my sister, and then my other cousin. We went on the final drop and I thought I was gonna get soaked but my cousin in front of me took all the water and I didn't get hit. :D
I'm always scared to go on this ride, so I go on space mountain first )because I can't see how big it is) then I get off, all Hyped up and I'm like "let's go on this splash mountain" and my friends are like " I don't waaanna go on it, it's boring"
@SuperHanate correctoin it's 2 geese on star tours, and they were taken out before America Sings closed. one from Deep South section and one from Old West. i know some about America Sings becuz my friend's mother use to work on the ride.
@bubblegumzebra The longest I've ever waited without a fast pass was about 45 min, but that was in the afternoon during spring break. Now that it's summer, i'm pretty sure that it's gonna be longer haha. I think the line may be a bit long, but not to the point where people are standing right in front of the drop. -shrug- Have fun & happy early birthday (=
in california there are 3- a small, medium, and them the big drop. in florida there are four. one small, two medium, and then the big drop. there also may be a few very VERY tiny not even drops in some places i cant be too sure
i always wanted to go on this ride but i never have because the drop looks so big and scary to me from the outside but ive been pictures and now a video of how the drop it once you on the ride and it doesnt look too bad i think i will go on it this weekend(:

Me and my friend would freak out and he would kill himself laughing because the drop was tiny. We then didn't believe him when the big drop came and we were taken by surprise and totally freaked! xD
My mom kept going "I THINK THIS IS THE ONE" and making me nervous, plus I hate animatronics. The anticipation was awful so I was already boned way before we hit the final drop. It was a miserable experience for all, and I went to the playground and met the mascots afterward, and then walked up to mom: "Can we go again?" The response was a resounding "no" and I have no desire to go back. xD

This ride is good. It give you a bit to relax your feet and refresh with water. California can be treacherous with its heat!

Similar, they each have slightly different versions of their respective rides, except for the few Disneyland doesn't have.

all i have to say is, i thought that the first dip was the big one. aha. gotta get on that ride again!
Wow, what annoying people you sat with! Whenever I go my family takes up 4 seats so we almost never have to ride with anyone.

i didnt go on this when we went to disneyland last time they were doing repairs on the final drop i hope to go on it this time though if we go

There should be a ride where you go like 50 ft up and drop down, thats a water ride, and donkey kong comes out of nowhere
