One important thing is forgotten and that is the number of Android updates this tablet receives and the number of years of security updates compared to Samsung's S10+ tablet😉.
@@AndroidDigest after a full day of use it's very nice. It's taking some getting used to because I'm so used to the Samsung UI on tablets. The stand and keyboard are a great bonus. The keyboard is not as flimsy as the Samsung branded ones so that's a plus. If I could load the Samsung UI it'd be easier for me ha. All in all so far so good.
Lenovo hit a grand slam with this! It's a better value than the Galaxy Tab S10+ for $700. In a few months it's going to be discounted left and right, this is a steal!
I just got a Lenovo Tab Extreme last week. I really want a giant oled slab with top audio capabilities. Oled, 4k res, and built in DAC or support for aptx lossless in a tablet would be a dream come true. I wouldve snapped up that Onkyo Tablet that never released.
I definitely love the tab extreme, I covered it in a separate video, but the problem is the software support on that. They offered even less software support and it was released like a couple years ago. Now. It's probably out of software updates or almost
@AndroidDigest Indeed. I am enjoying it as a bedside entertainment center haha. Yeah, Lenovo has offically done away with buying an extended warranty for the Tab Extreme so software fine tuning is over. At least I got the promised Android 15 update..here's hoping we get the next one.
Can you comment a little bit on how slippery the pen is? I really like samsungs s pen because of the soft nib that creates some friction and that is the only reason i am hesitant to buy this lenovo tablet. Is the lenovo pen like an apple pencil or how it is?
Hi . Thanks for the preview . Do you know if it will be easy to get some replacement tip for the stylus in case we want to use it with a mattescreen protector with paperfeel ?
This pen in particular actually feels like you're riding on paper just with the vibrations it makes. I think it's some type of pro pen they already made in the past. So if you could buy the pen separately, I'm guessing there's probably some way to buy stylus tips. But I haven't checked it out yet
Im interested, but i will wait to see if some people mention having eye strains from using it. DCI-p3 might cause it from what i read. The fact that its LCD and not OMLED is actually a plus. Anyone reading this in the future, please comment on how you felt using the display for a few minutes to hours, and if you suspect the DCI-p3 tech causing eye fatigue and strains, or if its from something else . This was a great review btw
First, great video, I subscribed 😊. But flows? Easy: no MicroSD card!! This is crazy, I already don’t understand why they removed that on the y700 2025 model, and even this larger tablet with more space and more expensive, and still no MicroSD card???? C’mon!!!! Honestly if they included the MicroSD slot, it’s perfect. It’s even better than Samsung’s coz not only this Lenovo comes with the keyboard, it’s smart enough to understand how important it is that people use it as a tablet without the keyboard but they still need the kickstand!!! Samsung’s s10 plus or ultra, both keyboard comes with the kickstand so if I just wanna use it as a tablet in kitchen for videos or watch it while doing exercise or just connect controller for gaming, I don’t want the keyboard, this Lenovo separate kickstand and keyboard design is probably one of the smartest, the best, of course, is still the surface pro built-in kickstand design but as long as it comes with something like this Lenovo has, it solves the problem, I am totally cool with it. Man, I really wanna buy this but just…no MicroSD is…a dealbreaker.
Emulation is going to be good for PS2 and below. I haven't really tried the other stuff. I'll be testing the pen out more in the next few days but I am expecting good palm rejection
Mind if I ask you a few questions about this tablet? Might be buying soon. -Can all the AI stuff be turned off or uninstalled? Gemini, Lenovo AI, all of it. I know it's a weird question, but that's just how I roll. -Any issues installing custom APKs? It's the main reason I love Android. -Can you use 3 apps at once instead of two with standard split screen? Or do you have to switch to Productivity Mode to do that? Thanks in advance!
1: You can DISABLE the Gemini app and you can uninstall the Lenovo AI app, which is basically another version of Gemini. 2: You won't have any issues installing custom apks, may have to approve some settings, but should work great. 3: You can use split screen and open one app in a floating window. That is the way to get 3 apps working. Or PC mode
@@AndroidDigest thank you very much! I think I'll wait for a sale but this tablet is almost definitely for me. I'm a little tired of Samsung's UI and this seems to accomplish the same thing, especially with the desktop mode. Thanks for the responses!
Yeah it's a great Chromebook. Very different for sure. Not as versatile going between tablet and laptop and no touch screen I believe too. So you're mainly buying it to get a laptop with a nice screen
I don't think you'll have to wait 2 years for that. Maybe a year if you're looking on the used market. But you'll probably find it on sale for $550 or so new. At that point it's going to be a really good deal
Not having an SD card slot is so so stupid, how much could it be solder that on the motherboard cents?? Dont get me wrong xiaomi does the same stupid thing.
@@AndroidDigestYea, impressive, I do have the Sammy 9+, but it only has 12 Gb of RAM, Snpdrg. 8/2, and it was more expensive, plus the ugly keyboard/protection case.
Thanks!
I'm a diehard Samsung guy but this tablet will be here tomorrow! Such a great product for hundreds less than the S10+.
That's awesome. Let me know how you like it

@@Hans-hx8ik that's true but I don't keep my tech for more that a year or maybe two at the most.

You're paying for the LTE on Samsung. That's a must for me, I don't trust public networks. If Lenovo did LTE I would switch in a heartbeat 😂😂

@AndroidDigest oh, so the equivalent of slide over going along with split view in iPad OS. All right, I can work with that
Any chance you could review the Lenovo Legion tab? Small Android tablets are almost non existent
Oh yeah. Review will definitely come. Just have to get my hands on one
@@AndroidDigestThis yoga tab or oneplus tab 2 for multitasking window productivity?
Thanks @@AndroidDigest
For its price it does come with pen and keyboard but sadly it's not available in Ph website so yea maybe next month?
Does this tab have 2 versions 256 and 512 or just the 256 gb storage
As of this moment, they only have one white version with 256 GB. I'm guessing we'll see more come out with more colors later
How big of an SD Card does this support?
It doesn’t, he said in the video
No sd card slot
@@AndroidDigest bruh theyre becoming OnePlus. I switched to Samsung anyways but Lenovo used to keep it..
3:14. Fun fact, Harmon Kardon is owned by Samsung
the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook plus is also $700 and has an OLED screen. Just a price tracking announcement.
Why would you mention that? That's a totally different kind of product🧐
Yeah it's a great Chromebook. Very different for sure. Not as versatile going between tablet and laptop and no touch screen I believe too. So you're mainly buying it to get a laptop with a nice screen
I dont see any space to keep that pen.
There's no space behind the case. Do you charge it on top of the device. It's just a little magnetic part on the top
Let me wait for 2 years so I can get it for about 350-400$

Should have been priced between 550-600 $
Lenovo are always there or there abouts
Still a bit expensive for a tablet... I think
It's Lenovo, it's going to be discounted before you know it.
It's on the premium side of things. And I do expect some sales. But it's pretty good when you compare to the Samsung premium offerings

This is true! At this point though, the updates are far less relevant than they used to be. At least we know we will eventually get them.
@AndroidDigest the problem is that they take a lot time to fix bugs
