I grew up going to the San Francisco Zoo. I remember one of the 3 crossings at the zoo had SPC signals like this and the crossing had 4 quad gates. To this day, since my childhood, these signals still stand and operate to this day! Even after the signals at the other crossings were replaced sometime around 2012-2013. The zoo caringly replaced the old burned out lights and replaced the old decapitated mechanical bell with a new one. Talk about a place that actually cares about crossing maintenance and safety! Thanks for sharing.
Huckleberry Railroad in Flint Michigan actually uses retired crossing equipment in the part and REAL road equipment where they cross a busy road. Very cool.
I think that the mechanical bells are single stroke bell and are connected to the signals flasher relay, and it only rang once cuz the lights don’t flash, I think that’s why the bell stoped at the first mechanical bell crossing
There was a few Miniature Railroad Crossings at a Kiddie Land in Illinois which recently shuttered and their Crossing signals were not in the best shape while I was there, 2 signals were missing the red light lens and 2 signals didn't work at all.
Six flags Kingdom In the CA has those type of signals but with the Western Cullen Hays bell sound affect. So next time I go there I will look under the Gate to see the Speaker of that Western Cullen Hays electronic bell
Hey! The brand is S.P.C, hence why you saw "SPC" on part of the gate. It seems that these have become even worse, at 5:10 that one sounds like an old mechanical buzzer! Most people give these a bad rap (I guess one could say) they are hand made (mostly) and lack of maintenance (Which you said, you are quite correct) Also, these signals are horribly installed, most actually have a base, but Nut Tree Plaza must've been lazy and didn't even install a proper base. that kind of base is okay with signals only, but with gates... ehhh..
It's really too bad that the park isn't maintaining these crossing signals. I guess they either don't care or don't have the money to make them all work properly, just as long as the gate goes down.
on the 2nd one the right light doesnt had condensation , it just got covered by the plants and the bell died cause of Condensation Wires Cut and stopped the auto bang inside the bell
Again, for everyone's safety, if I were you, please report to Nut Tree Railroad operation's manager and supervisors? you will save them a lot of headache. thank you.
These are actually really expensive for how dog crap they're, they don't hire railroad electricians they hire normal ones, and there triggers are messed up. As long they keep from getting someone hit the they're good and they wont fix it
Ye they ate mostly just for show in this situation and without anyone who works there being interested in maintaining signals nobody cares to fix them I mean even a actual tourist railroad ive been two has several no functioning crossings and they haven’t gotten around to fixing them even tho it means they gotta go slower cuz of it
5:10 the crossing literally became the devil
fr!

Fun fact: the McCormick Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale AZ has these exact same crossing signals with real WCH e bells mounted on them.

I use to come here all the time like a decade ago. I remember when all the crossing gates worked properly
i love the Western Cullen Hayes Electronic Bell and the other side gate because it has a 2 box
"I thought it was up here"
Me: That won't sound.
I think that the mechanical bells are single stroke bell and are connected to the signals flasher relay, and it only rang once cuz the lights don’t flash, I think that’s why the bell stoped at the first mechanical bell crossing
The crossing lights have had the same issue for months, last time I visited the Bells worked just fine, and the lights were still screwed
@@NC_YT_123 well maybe it was just the bells relay that stopped
Yeah most likely
Indeed and the lights look like two eyes watching (four)
The lights are not set off by a timer, its screwed up
I like that one of them actually has a Wch e bell lmao. well…. unless itsjust a audio recording but still its cool

That’s a hazard, hopefully someone fixes it
@@jayasmrmore3687 The park where they are is now closed. They're probably scrapped by now
Oh that’s too bad I didn’t notice they shut down. I hope I didn’t put them out of business lmao.
@NC_YT 123 They've been closed since 2009, so its been closed for years

Yeah I should keep that place in mind

Yeah I figured
SPC stands for Signal Products Company
@@NC_YT_123 No. SPC i readed "Scale Productions Company".
This is 5:12. This buzz came from signal lights.
@@polskiewindyodzkieinietylk6192 No crap, I can tell. Its a broken sound-board for the crossing bell.

There’s one signal where the gate doesn’t even fully lower, perfect for a child to slip under and get hurt.
Weird crossing bells
on the 2nd one the right light doesnt had condensation , it just got covered by the plants and the bell died cause of Condensation Wires Cut and stopped the auto bang inside the bell
when the bell die it was sad and the signal that buzzed was bad.
Yeah
Aw man bruh this is heart breaking :(
Aw
Do the lights sometimes froze or always

Makes sense
The bells brand is W.L Jenkins
also on the other side right light with the Electronic Bell had Condensation with the wires cut
Dang these Lights Died
The worst and the best are at one crossing
Indeed
when will someone make a video of the internal mechanics of those gates?
When somebody is willing to make a video and has the key
5:12 From where this weird sound comes?
The circuit board failing
Last time I went to an amusement park there was a railroad crossing but I didn't have a camera to record it then
Nice
@@NC_YT_123 yes indeed
Can you please ride on it
Maybe
New sub!

4:10 no bell
where is this located at?
Nut tree plaza Vacaville ca
Yes Part2 is here!
Crossing rating:1/8 12.5%
and also the third one bell died after the Nut Tree railway came by
the third one had condensation with the other side with the both lights broke
😂
and the one on the other side with the right light died because of condensation
