I use the AudioQuest Dragonfly Black and the HELM Bolt for my USB-C dongle DACs. I love them. Great video, man! Also, USB-C audio on my Pixel 6 is kinda hit or miss for me. But I have no problem with my DACs on my OnePlus 9 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro.

My calyxm dap doesn't have balanced but get as loud as my 4.4 balanced port from my m17. Powers my iem the same. Makes me believe balanced is a marketing tool.
The Calyx m is a well built machine. This is not an experience you can get from most devices. And if high impedence headphones are to be used I find it's best to go balanced. Not true for all gear but what you use matters.
@@theish9 true. I need to clarify my comment. On devices like m17 and sony wm1a, there's a difference between the balanced and regular 3.5mm jack because that's how it's implemented. On the calyxm, it only has 3.5mm non balanced that's powerful like a balanced cable.

What do few comments mean by not 100% balanced? Doesn't 4.4mm port = balanced output & 3.5mm=unbalanced output. Thanks 🙂
