If Sauce Money accept a one time payment up front for lyrics and didn’t think “long term” that’s his fault. You can’t really blame, Diddy for that. Even though mass agreement says you're right....I've always had issue with that concept. Reason being, a hit record is usually a collaborative effort, so if I as the guitar player, played for Us as the company. Meaning I didn't tell the A&R guy I'm not doing my part on something you gonna benefit from, no song would ever get done, at least not hit songs. Everyone involved spose to contribute their individual talent for the benefit of the collective, 360, around the table. The admin team is spose to ensure everyone is properly represented just as the engineer ensure everyone is well represented by putting the best mix possible on the record. May be a bit utopic of a way of thinking but in my humble opinion.....that's how it spose to be.
