Loved this video. Ordered the nozzles from the links. I would never have done this without being able to see the spray pattern demo and being advised on the exact part number. Thank you!
You're very welcome! Happy to help 🤙🏾🌱
Thank you so much for doing the side by side spray pattern comparisons. Very helpful.
Learning something new every time!
Did yourself proud on this video, Thank you!
I'm an idiot guys. It's Travis not Troy from Budget Lawns! 😂🤣😅 Thanks for watching.
👍you da man!
@@BudgetLawns nope u da man!
Great video. Ordered the fan tip!
Great comparison, thanks! Can't wait to order the teejet nozzles. Also glad they are compatible with ryobi sprayers.
I believe you're the first one to sell me with the spray pattern, I didn't get the hype. Now I'm sold. thanks
Great video, as always! I need to update my tips as well. Will definitely be buying new ones now. Have a great week!
You won’t regret it brother. Easy upgrade.
Cheers mate! Especially for the part numbers! Just ordered Ryobi's new backpack sprayer and part numbers meant I could source them in my country. Also ordered a pair of yellow Air Induction tips which cater to a lower flow rate per head to be effective on a 2 nozzle boom.
☀️Excellent video!! I picked them both up last month. Great knozzles! 👍
Thanks for dropping a comment. Smart man!
Thanks for your business! Great side-by-side comparison!
Thank you for the fantastic product! Pleased consumer, and I will return for more products soon!
I gotta look into this for my sprayer! Thanks Rob!
Game changer for sure. Especially for the price point. Thanks for stopping by and dropping me a comment!
Good informative video ,to the point , and really liked the mixing test .Wow so easy . Thanks
You're welcome! Working on a new one this season.
Need to get me some of them tips. Thanks for the awesome information Rob!!!
Glad I could help Josh!
Teejets are awesome. I use both the ones you showed and the air induction 110010. Mine are quick connect models. I have a flowzone so I had to rig up 1/4 quick connect for it.
I just bought the ryobi a few weeks ago and got both of those teejet tips. Cant wait to try them.
Solid choice. I've found another Tip I think the community will love. I just ordered it, so the video should be out before the end of the month. Thanks for watching and taking the time to drop a comment.
i learned more from this video than i ever imagined you have a new follower . thank you so much for the side by side comparison of the nozzles .
You're welcome bro 🤙🏾🌱
As an NYSDEC Pesticide applicator I respect the content bro, tee jet is where is at.,!
Thanks brother that means a lot! Thanks for the support and I hope you enjoy the channel.
Thanks Rob! I've been meaning to order those tips for weeks now and I keep forgetting about it. Just ordered both!
Best $10 you’ll spend all year man.
Great review man! Im glad youve reviewed the tip...just the tip!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! #alltipsmatter
Good stuff, appreciate the information!
Happy you appreciated it! 👌🏾🌱
Crazy how a decent tip makes a world of difference! Will be mating them up with the Field King Pro Max next season Rob - thank you for the great content 👍
Nice! Glad I could help 😁 Thanks for watching 🤙🏾🌱
After watching many different videos to find out the best spray nozzles to use to to apply prodiomine, this video was the best. Not only did it recommend the nozzles but also had great advice on calibrating my Ryobi sprayer and providing sensible and simple solutions to applying various spray products. Outstanding presentation. Thanks and look forward to viewing more
Thank you for the kind words. Just glad I could help!
Really Great Job on this one Rob!
Thanks bro! 👌🏾🔥
First time watching your channel. TeeJet AIXR is an excellent tip. Great video. Just subscribed.
Very nice comparison on the tips!
Thanks for checking in Paul!
Hey Rob thanks for sharing this video on the tea Jets I am going to pick up a set and get started on my weeds before they get growing out of control 👍
You won't regret it. Cheapest upgrade with the biggest impact hands down 😁🌱
Great video rob. Just ordered the tip

You are welcome! Working a new video for some new toys I've found 😁🌱
Crazy, I was just googling Tee Jet and then you post this. Now back to the video. Cheers
Thanks for the links, order is on its way.
Sweet! Nailed it! Thanks for watching brother
Hiya Rob, your presentation skills are streets ahead of mine, very impressive! I liked the back drop you use at the start of the video with your company logo on the screen, and when you paint yourself out of a box using the sprayer, you nailed the music timing, stopping it just as you did. Ive got a lot to learn! More on topic, thanks for mentioning about the drift management - some of us in the UK suffer from this when our neighbours use sprays and it indiscriminately drifts onto our growing spaces, not cool. Great video, bug thumbs up from me and thank you.
Thanks, brother! I appreciate your kind words and attentiveness throughout the video. I do put a lot into them. It means a lot to me. And yes. I am a firm believer that we need to do better with using products in the environment. I am going to show when used appropriately and responsibly; I am going to show how the two can co-exist. I've recently found an all-natural product that has some promising studies for repelling mosquitoes and ticks. Video will be out in about a month to give time for a proper review.
@@TurfTherapy Ace, I look forward to that!
Nice video, well explained!
Thank You! 😁🌱
This is great! I was having a little irritation with my ryobi nozzle! Just ordered both upgrade nozzles you linked!

Great side by side comparison! I bought the fan tip a month or so ago, it’s hands down the very best $5 I’ve ever spent on lawn care equipment. Thanks For those kind words brother. I really try my best at delivering quality content. Happy to see it doesn’t go unappreciated. Comments like these keep me going when I get tired.
I’m looking to upgrade my nozzles on my sprayer. May have to check these out.
Best $10 I've spent in a while brother. Thanks for watching.
I love my 2 gallon Ryobi!
I didn't want to regret it, so I splurged for the 4 gallon. I don't regret it, especially after I got these new tips.

I like the experiment design! Troy from budget lawns might be a bit confused 😂
😅😂🤣 Uhh. I meant Travis. I totally said Troy. Lol How did I not catch that in editing.
Nice video! Wonder if my Chapin sprayer could use one of those tips....
I’m sure they do! Send me a picture of yours.
I use the red AI for my products which need to get to the soil. I have a red turbo tee jet that I use for foliar. I just got a flood jet nozzle for the next soil amendment products where I don't need accuracy. Some of the Next stuff is pretty thick and was making my pump work hard. These flood jet definitely is the solution.
Nice! Thanks for the “Tip”. Haha see what I did there!
@@TurfTherapy nice pun 😁
TeeJet nozzles are the SH*T!!! Definitely worth every little penny.
PREACH!
Those teejet tips looked like a definite improvement over the ones that come with the sprayer
Night and day difference. Best $10 I've ever spent.
Yeah, and you can even get a few nozzle sizes of each type if you want, to get more or less gallons/1kSF. Like, I've got some stuff that I apply that wants a lot of dilution (so I might need to be at 1 or 1.2 gallon/1kSF. But other stuff is fine with 0.5 gallon/1kSF. So I can just swap out a nozzle and be doing lower flow and only have to fill up my backpack twice.
Richard Mathews same here. Haven’t gotten into any AI nozzles yet
Nice review! Thank you. Do you recommend a certain tip for spraying the yard with insecticides?
Yes, the tips listing usually tell you what they are recommended to be used for.
New subie coming over from leadfarmer73 love your vlog
Oh thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the content. Giving an update on my worms this Sunday! Stay tuned!
Nice overview here! Which nozzle would be recommended for spraying glyphosate? Mostly used in beds between shrubs, fence lines, etc.
Thanks! Use the fan tip for foliar applications 🤙🏾🌱
Can't believe you were mixing on the trunk of your car. Guess that's better than the kitchen table. Great video showing the difference between different tips. Thank you. I just wish that when anyone makes informational videos you would leave out the background music. I want to hear what you have to say. Imagine going to school and the teacher has the radio on at the same time their talking.
Thanks for watching and in glad you enjoyed it! Also, I get what you're saying about music in the background. I appreciate your feedback 🤙🏾😁🌱
Great video..amateur question, what are the signs to look for if the jar test is not compatible.
You would see rapid precipitation and/or clumping.
Great video again as always. I have the yt25. Do those tips fit everybody?
Thanks man. 90% sure it will fit that sprayer but double check with Nate.
They fit my sprayers plus 105ex
I like the video, but man I don't like you sliding and dropping that stuff over the car's paint. Teejet nozzles for the win. I use the AIC 11010-VS and the XRC8006-VS nozzles with the Flowzone sprayer and after using the nozzles since September 2019, I realize I like the 11010 better because it puts out more volume and at a wider angle, so I am going to purchase the XRC11010 nozzle for the upcoming season. These two nozzle covers all my spraying needs. Subscribed.
I appreciate the support! I got a new video in the works for some pretty clean tips I've found. I promise I'll avoid the paint this time 😂👌🏾🌱
wow,, I'm so glad to have found your video!! great to see the difference of spray patterns! thank you. I bought Ryobi 2gal chemical sprayer this fall. I'm new to this. Changing from Ryobi original tip to this Teejet nozzles don't require any other parts? just remove the ryobi tip and swap ??? ->> After this comment, I found some parts required for the Teejet nozzles..but I'm still confused what exactly I would need to fit Ryobi sprayer. I would really appreciate if you could help me with this. Thank you...!!
Yeah check out this link 😁🌱

@@TurfTherapy omg! latterly I found this forum earlier and I have been searching for parts since lol 🙂🙂 Thank you for your response and the link!!!
Rob, did you have to buy any special adapters to make these nozzles work for the ryobi or are they pretty much plug and play?
I really appreciate this information! I have been using the adjustable nozzle that came with the Ryobi 4 gal and it is disappointing for pretty much all bio-stimulants. My question is does the tips require an adapter to be purchased? Thanks again!!
If you have the same 4 gal Ryobi like me, all you need are the tips! You won't regret it! 🌱
@@TurfTherapy got them on the way 👍
@@TurfTherapy Oh man! You are right! I tried out my new tips yesterday... what a night and day difference to the adjustable cone. I threw down some Humic, RGS, and Air8 and the spread was perfect.. can get right on the edge with no overspray with a 3ft pattern. Thank again :)
Great review and awesome video! I’m in the market for a sprayer. Would you still go with the Ryobi knowing what you know now or pay a little more for something like a Flowzone or Strom.
Also do you use the Ryobi for all of your applications? Ferts, Bio-stim, herbicides, pesticides, & fungicides? I keep thinking o need at least two sprayers but not sure. I appreciate your time and advice in advance!
Hey Chris, thank you for watching the video and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it! That's funny you ask because I'm actually in the market for a new backpack sprayer but not for the reasons you may think.
To answer your first question, I probably wouldn't still go with the Ryobi, but that's not I say that the Ryobi hasn't been worth its money. I bought the Ryobi purely because I'm pretty deep into the 40V & 18V line up, and with the cheap tip mods and check valve, it's a great unit.
Now, if I have the budget, I would go with the FlowZone Cyclone2V; the variable pressure is a great feature alone for me.
If I didn't have the budget and knew about the YT25e - www.sprayers-plus.com/products/yt25e-effortless-hand-held-sprayer/ - I would get that over the Ryobi. The battery lasts forever, and it's a much better unit straight out the box.
Lastly, yes, I run everything through the same unit. I always flush my equipment according to the label immediately after applying herbicides, pesticides, etc. I haven't had any issues with crossover following the instructions. But I do have a small ”hand can” dedicated to ”spot” spraying with glyphosate and other hot them.
In the end, I will probably pick up another sprayer either the Cyclone or YT and continue to use the Ryobi for chem only most likely, though. Hope this was helpful 🤙🏾🌱
WOW! Very informative! You picked up a new subscriber by the way! I appreciate you taking the time to break it down. Not that I have an unlimited budget. But I do want to try to get it as close to right the first go round. So I’ll most likely get the Flowzone. I appreciate it again! I’m a new DIYer everything lawn care this year. I also registered for lawn care forum Thanks again! By the way... I’m in Bowie MD.
That's dope. Right around the corner.
Are these compatible with most backpack sprayers? The backpack sprayer I have came from tractor supply, it isn't battery powered. Also I'm still confused on the calibration of the sprayer, I have some herbicide that it says to use 3 oz to each gal of water, where does the calibration of the sprayer come into play with that?
How do you like the Ryobi backpack sprayer
It gets the job done. But I would definitely get the Tips for it.
Does any of the nozzles have a fan spray of 8 feet wide?!? I am looking to do 58,000 sq ft of Prodiamine, so I am looking to do as little fills as possible…
Ive got a sprayers plus 2 gallon and the thing I dislike about it is it does about 2500 sq ft per gallon. This should put me close to 1,000 ?? BTW thanks for the content, really helpful
Randy, I choose to do that because 2:00 per 1k sqft is a bit fast for me as I’m so used to having 3:30 per 1k. But you can most definitely do 1k in 2mins. It just takes some practice. I’d start with products that have a lot more wiggle room like Humic acid or micronutrients to dial in your pace. Thanks for watching!
@@TurfTherapyI just did the test on my sprayers plus regular tip that I've been using and it took me 4 minutes to spray a gallon of water, wow
Yeah wow. No you're going to half to walk twice as fast to cover the same amount ground if your time is like mine.
@@TurfTherapyfor 10,000 square-foot I need to fill up my 2 gallon tank 5 times with product. But after 2 1/2 I would already have the 10,000 area covered but I still have 2 1/2 to go. So would walk again in another direction to get all my product on lawn and evenly distributed. No wonder I've been losing a few pounds lately ha
Are those two tips all you needed or were there any adapters as Well? I have the same ryobi sprayer
No adapter needed bro! You're good to go! 🌱
@@TurfTherapy awesome! Thanks for the advice bro. Love your channel. Do You have stickers or merch available for purchase?
I’m sure I looked silly spraying my driveway with water multiple times when I was calibrating with my tee jets. Oh well. Practice makes decent.. lol
I know right. My wife walked up to me while recording and said, “Looks like a Tampax commercial.” 😂
Did you have to replace your wand so you could use the Tee Jets or just the tip assembly?
Just the tips. No wand replacement needed. Just simply swap out the tip.
@@TurfTherapy you're the man!
@TurfTherapy how did you adjust the flow on the 4gal Ryobi? Does the Tee Jet just pop right into the stock Ryobi tip?
No flow adjustment is needed. Just swap the tips. Easy peasy. 👌🏾🌱
@@TurfTherapy in your video you said the flow was 3 minutes to fill up the gallon, then you made some adjustments to get it to 2min exactly? was that just switching from Ryobi head to TeeJet?
Yes. The nozzle itself adjusted the flow rate as far as calibration.
OK... I have gone online with Amazon and found what appears to be the same nozzles with different serial numbers. Also, no mention of the appropriate cap. I just bought the same Ryobi Sprayer P2806 but am concerned about ordering a nozzle only to find I need a cap or that the threads are not the same... ??? Guidance??? When I purchase a nozzle, do I also have to purchase a dedicated cap for that nozzle. If that was the case; they should come in a package??? Thanks.... Is there some chart you can follow that gives the proper part number for a particular sprayer manufacturer??? I tried contacting Ryobi and they knew nothing... Confused...
My recommendation is to purchase through the sprayer depot links I provided in the video's description to avoid further confusion. I didn't need caps or anything extra for the P2806 Sprayer. A simple unscrew swap and spray. The links aren't affiliated links, FYI. Just the easiest way to avoid confusion. There are other details in the description you may find helpful as well. Thanks for watching, and let me know if you need any further assistance.
Thank you for your prompt reply. I had come to the same conclusion. I think I will contact their C/S and order two or three nozzles. Who knows... If I get into this; maybe an upgrade wand and trigger handle. But, the included equipment seems good.
Well dang, Got my nozzles in today and just went to do the bucket 1 gallon test and its the same for me as my regular sprayers plus nozzle , still takes me 4 minutes to empty one gallon with this new nozzle, makes no sense :(
It's the pressure of your sprayer most likely. Did you at least have an improvement in your spray patterns?
I actually got to use the red tip today and it does have a great pattern, Definalty an improvement over the regular tip I was using. I found a video of a guy who calibrated a 2 gallon sprayers plus just like mine. A full tank covers 4,000 sq ft for me. So instead of spraying the lawn twice I only sprayed once. Usually I would refill another 2 gallons with product and go over lawn another direction to evenly distrubute it.
What up
Are you in Maryland? Looks like you encounter all of the usual suspects that i encounter during this time of year. Here in the transition zone, its a never ending battle to maintain a healthy turfgrass lawn
Hey Bruce! I used to live in Maryland. Now I'm in Germany 😏

Will this work on the ryobi 2 gallon sprayer?
Yes. It sure will!
So... Just got the tips in the mail today, and they ARE NOT compatible with the 2 gallon sprayer tip.. I'll have to try and find an adapter...
Any suggestions on an adapter or wand to make these tips compatible with the 2 gal sprayer? Thanks in advance. Excited to use it but can't 😥
Oh nooo. I'm so sorry. I just went and looked and I didn't realize they used a different wand. I'll tell you what. Email me your address. I have something that should do the trick. robpalme357@turftherapy.net
I have a wand for you brother. I will send it to you. Just email me your address. I feel terrible for giving you misinformation. You will need new hosing and clamps that you should be able to get from your local big-box store.
Nice information. Can I ask a quick question? I have a Chapin manual backpack sprayer (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005FPUHEE/). Will this TeeJet Air Induction AIXR11004VP nozzle work on that sprayer? Is that a universal tip that will just screw on?
No, this won't be able to fit that wand without a few other pieces. But if you call them, they will help you convert that fitting so that it will. Thanks for watching 🤙🏾🌱
@@TurfTherapy thanks!
He has a 0.5 gallons per minute spray rate with that TeeJet tip. Most herbicides are rated 1000 sq ft per gallon, which works out to 2 minutes per gallon, 0.5 gpm flow rate, per 1,000 sq ft. He states he was going to do 1 gallon per 1,000 sq ft, 4 gallons on 4,000 sq ft, which is the correct application rate for most herbicides. Then he says he didn't want to come up short, so now I'm going to do 2000 sq ft on 4 gallons, giving me more time to do it. This is incorrect and he is doubling the application rate by applying 2 gallons per 1,000 sq ft. TeeJet tips are color coded according to the flow rate. Red is 4.9 gpm at 60 psi. They have a great online catalog with all the tips and flow rates.
Does using more volume carrier but maintaining the proper rate of product for the area being covered present an issue holistically?
@@TurfTherapy No, but the real question is why do it that way? Mix your proper rate applied 1 gallon to 1000 sq ft and you're assured of the best cost effective treatment in terms of time and money and the most accurate application rate per 1000 sq ft.
@Kevin-mm6xm well the reason would be to help build confidence and experience. Also some products perform better and/or recommend higher carry volumes. Just an option. I appreciate your opinion and feedback though. Thanks for watching the video!
