Î have been asking the same question on several videos pertaining to mesh systems. What determines when a device switches connection from one router or sat to another? I don't think it it signal strength. Possible to be connected to weaker signal and slower speeds?
I have hardwired Ethernet output at multiple locations in a large house. I noticed the Linksys system has identical nodes. Would it be beneficial to plug both of them with Ethernet? Or do I have to use one of them as a satellite node?

I am someone that cannot stand slow speeds. I am here because doing some research and looking into reviews before buying my next equipment. I have tested 3 mesh networks here. Amplifi hd, velop and orbi. 1st 2 in my own home and orbi in company home. All were wifi5 andnot 6. I have 1 gb connection verified through ethernet cable to a pc. Home is 3 storey 4000sqft solid concrete and not wood panels sort of home. I have around 40 devices connected at any one time. I hv also tried many asus standalone routers not mesh but they do not perform well enough. Amplify - they are not fast enough and i am extremely dissappointed. To be fair it was a launch that i got never really gave thema chance to update. Was getting 100plus mbps. Then i switched to velop. I stuck to this the longest and i hv 7 of those.... speeds 120 to 140. I am not the fan of the app too. After many upgrades it is quite good already. But recently i could not add another7th node. Could be a dud piece. The thing is all except 2 using ethernet backhaul. I feel apps need to allow the option to force backhual, they seem to want to connect to other nodes. Orbi - i am seriously looking into this. In the company home, also concrete and equally large, i am very impressed with its range with just 2.
They are both faster than AX6600. What do you mean slow? WiFi speed or backhaul transfer speed? Appreciate the Feedback. Please don't forget to Sub + Like + Watch other reviews and share.
If you are going to pay for 1Gbps Fiber optics you need to GO BIG on the ROUTER. I finally found LINKSYS MX 10 video on RUclips after wasting $1000's of money on crap. even bought 3 ARRIS MAX PRO's and spent $299 for Lifetime Support and they still were crappy. LINKSYS MX 10 not once have I had to call support for help. EASY SETUP in a FLASH. You can make changes as you see fit on Linksys MX 10. PROOF is in the pudding. I am getting WiFi speeds of 700-800-988 Mbps on an iPhone 11 Max Pro UPLOAD & DOWNLOAD. Never seen speeds like this in my life.
Can you please test those routers With the app called wifisweetspot on iPhone. Via that app you Can check the Max speed and it’s free. Can you make a Quick test and whrite the results in here? Please
Orbi AX6000 is NOT backward compatible with previous model satellites. To use RBS50 satellites with an Orbi RBS850, the satellites have to be hard wired -- they cannot connect using wireless backhaul. Makes me question the depth of understanding of the reviewer.
You don't necessarily need Wi-Fi 6 devices to make use of this. I have an ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Wi-Fi 6 router and I have older Wi-Fi devices. Why I bought such a hulkishly powerful Wi-Fi router? Because of the processor, RAM, and because it's Tri-Band. I did it for the ability to handle all of my devices going at the same time. Security cameras, home automation products, multiple people streaming video at the same time, ect.
@@modernwize I don't even enable AX in my ASUS GT-AX110000 because I don't have any Wi-Fi 6 devices. I just use it's three Wi-Fi bands, it's 4 cores of ARM Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.8Ghz, amd it's gigabyte of RAM, to handle all of my devices well. I got 14 devices using the Wi-Fi router even when no one is home. Maybe up to 20 devices going when people are there.
@@nauglefest well there are more routers with good processors, if you buy specific wifi 6 routers and do a test with them.. its nice to actually test with the wifi 6 connection speeds.
The distance test may be good for surfing on your lawn, but really - who does that? Range is a two edged sword - if he can break your security, a wifi pirate can steal your bandwidth, and do his child porn stuff through your network. Now you have to be on the lookout for who's hanging around your property, and whether there are unknown devices connected. Ethernet backhaul is nice, but how is wifi backhaul? I don't have the luxury of wired ethernet everywhere - if I did I wouldn't need a mesh so much. I have a backup NAS on the router, and want to know how fast a satellite connected device can talk to it. Despite all its touted wifi backhaul, an ethernet connected device on my Orbi (RBR50) router could only talk to a ethernet connected device on the satellite at 30 MB/sec, regardless of protocol.
Love your comparison video. Do you know which system would handle more devices? Also that would allow for the least interference regarding channel congestion? Trying to have my cake and eat it too 😝

@@shivam2197 No thank you for watching them all.
i went with the orbi to increase the wifi coverage of the crappy huawei cpe pro 2, but i started to regret my decision. really feel like i should've gone with the velop.
And the reason is?
Appreciate the Feedback. Orbi 6 and Velop 6 are the top performer in my tests, both have great hardware and performance. Keep me posted.
Why so slow? I get a solid 800mbps on my Asus ZenWiFi AX6600 and it’s half the price of these.
They are both faster than AX6600. What do you mean slow? WiFi speed or backhaul transfer speed? Appreciate the Feedback. Please don't forget to Sub + Like + Watch other reviews and share.
I chose the Orbi. I’m very impressed by it. Covers my full acre and a half!

Please
That app seems to be spyware. It captures what is on your clipboard and won’t work unless you give it private information.
@@brwa5176 i am trying to figure out if I want to buy this router and therefore I have some questions. So please stop judging people like that:(
Dose Orbi RBK852 mesh wireless backhaul support WiFi 6?, dose VELOP MX10 mesh wireless backhaul support WiFi 6?
amazing video. thank you!

Linksys is the one for me.
Good to know. Please post your experience.
What internet speed do you have?
1Gig Fios.

Is the Orbi backwards compatible now???
Orbi AX6000 is NOT backward compatible with previous model satellites. To use RBS50 satellites with an Orbi RBS850, the satellites have to be hard wired -- they cannot connect using wireless backhaul. Makes me question the depth of understanding of the reviewer.
Do you even have Wi-Fi 6 equipment?
You don't necessarily need Wi-Fi 6 devices to make use of this. I have an ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Wi-Fi 6 router and I have older Wi-Fi devices. Why I bought such a hulkishly powerful Wi-Fi router? Because of the processor, RAM, and because it's Tri-Band. I did it for the ability to handle all of my devices going at the same time. Security cameras, home automation products, multiple people streaming video at the same time, ect.
@@nauglefest hows the wifi6 so far? stable?
ALSO LINKSYS MX 10 allows you to change so many settings where as the ARRIS did not allow any changes.
LINKSYS AX5300
which is very impressive :)
Thank you! Cheers!
Love your comparison video. Do you know which system would handle more devices? Also that would allow for the least interference regarding channel congestion? Trying to have my cake and eat it too 😝
Both are identical products, down to the Hardware. Both will handle same number of devices. You cannot go wrong with any one of them. Please don;t forget to Sub + Like
Stay away from this crappy router because it only supports up to AC and not AX. Called the Linksys support and they did confirmed that this router is not performing as advertised...!
The proof is in the pudding. I am getting 700-900 SPEEDS on iPhone 11 Max Pro upload and downloads are almost equal almost 80% of the time.
Does Orbi wifi 6 Mesh has backword compaitable i.e can i connect old wifi 5 smart phone to wifi 6 mesh.
Yes. It is backwards compatible according to Netgear.
@@DealUnboxing Thank you so it mean that I can connect my old 2015 Mac book pro to wifi 6 RBK853 with no issue, just that I will not able to take maximum benefit of wifi 6 as my Mac book pro is 802.11ac compatible.

I have the Velop but I’m really considering switching to orbi.
Do you have New Linksys Velop WiFi 6?
Deal Unboxing Yes I do.
I’m having consistent issues with the linksys app and I used to own the Orbi ac1200. I was a fan of the app and never had any issues.
@@NovoLibertas But App issue should not effect the WiFi performance. I am just saying. Since you own LinkSys WiFi 6 then why go to Netgear Orbi? Both are same hardware, with few differences.
Deal Unboxing Valid point. Literally no reason lol.
thanks for the great review. I will stick with Netgear since it has 2.5GIG WAN. I don't need USB.
