Just like Rap ain’t deep than music .. Listen to words .. this is gangster reggae or dancehall is basically drill music and been that way for years before drill music became a thing
It has a lot to do with how the political system rose to power in the 70s in Jamaica. Bob Marley one of the most influential and peaceful musicians of all time was shot in his home because he refused to take a side. It’s sort of like extreme violence in hooligan culture in football in Eastern Europe. It has more to do with what communism did to the tribalism of these countries and less to do with the sport. When you have musicians that have more power than politicians like it is in Jamaica there’s going to be bloodshed. Truth be told if vybz wasn’t in prison I think he’d be dead by now.
