Sunday was going dull for me until I saw this, love MW and I just love the attention to detail of Honda. In age of air purifiers and other gizmos it's refreshing to see a brand focus on essentials!😍
Missed items. 1. 360 Camera 2. Remote connectivity app (Need my car to be cooled before leaving home in Chennai heat) 3. Ventilated seat Not too worried about hybrid. You have to drive quite a while to get the economic benefits and we have to see how it impacts the resale value given that the replacement cost of those batteries will be coinciding with the resale time frame.
My verdict will be like : people who want functional cars will buy elevate irrespective of features or fit and finish, people who want a great engine and great build with solid handling will buy elevate irrespective of the price, just like there is buyers for kushaq or taigun, there will be people for elevate also, people who wants features and the modern fit and finish will go for seltos or creta, as for vitara or hyryder it's all about the Suzuki badging and mileage. If Honda prices the elevate base models right then it can do a dent in the market
Concur with your verdict. But, is it sufficient to resurrect Honda. Problem is buyers who like practical cars are a dwindling minority. Elevate sure can put a dent on sales of Korean twins which would be around 3000-4000 units a month for first 6 months. Then it settles for 1000-2000 units per month and finally disappears from market (only to reappear in MW's Lost Gems series). We have seen this happen in many practical and mechanically sorted cars (read Duster, S-cross, Kicks, etc). I still couldn't figure out why Honda didn't bring the Hybrid power train (which is the best in market). Ppl would have still paid a premium for that. But they missed to captitalize on that. BAD MOVE HONDA.
@@ArunKumar-cw4rm as for the fully hybrid I would think that Honda would like to test the waters first and then bring in the hybrid, one thing is the sales will mostly be in the low to mid segment, and that's the sweet spot, even though Kia had said that their top end modles has been booked in and around 50 percent

I am not a feature buff but if priced competitively, the Vehicle can give a run for the money for others in competition. I have a jazz which is well in to its 13th year and was waiting for an SUV from Honda. Will definitely test drive this one.

Honda should keep the prices competitive! Bring in hybrid to this SUV and not price them over 2 lakhs over the petrol counterpart. Similarly should reduce hybrid cost in Honda City as well. Also add ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof and 360 camera.
The quality provided to customers can be witnessed in Tyre selection by Honda! Notice the Bridgestone Turanza tyres in Elevate compared to Apollo and Goodyear tyres in Creta and Seltos.
Asir sir... You should do the head light throw & spread in all upcoming review. It is also one of the most important thing which is being missed in most of the car reviews. Request to include in all upcoming reviews. Thanks.

Amazing review Asir sir, Thanks Danny for shooting the video. If you keep the windows open do you feel the rattling sound? Please confirm. Also the front bonnet which had little space, is it a manufacturing design defect? If consumers keep the car under the tree, will insects go inside the engine compartment. Please clarify. Thanks again Asir sir.
When comparing the width of Honda City (1748mm) to Elevate (1790), the rear seats in Elevate seems to be smaller in look and feel. Is the shoulder room in Elevate less than City?
Probably its because of the stronger build shell. Eccosport and taigun has the same issues as they have reinforcements in that area. This is definitely a 5 star build.
I did test drive, it’s really awesome buttery drive. Pricing also really good you will get an automatic in 16 L itself second variant itself. They doesn’t confuse with more variants. Simply no nonsense car.
Appears to be mechanically sorted vehicle that guarantees fuzz free ownership. However, Honda now needs a car that sets the sales charts on fire. Sadly, the ELEVATE is too little too late. Lauching along side facelifted Seltos (feature loaded) and C3 Aircross (another mechanically sorted car) is going to create their own set of problems. Just hope it sells in decent numbers to keep Honda afloat.
