The Upper Peninsula is the best-kept secret in the United States... I just spent 10 days up there exploring myself and it was absolutely amazing. Plus the mountain biking at East Bluff is off the chart! Nice video!
The ship petroglyph is still there. We were up there a couple weeks ago and was able to find it (after a long search on that rock mound). Great video! Thanks for sharing. We can't wait to get back up there and spend more time on the many trails we weren't able to get to the first time.
Grew up about 100 miles from there in Wisconsin on the south shore of Lake Superior. On the way there you go through the Chequamegon National Forest which is beautiful in its own right. It's the closest thing we have to mountains in the upper midwest.
That looks like a really great event. With only 250 ppl there, I bet it had a very different feel than other Overland Festivals. Thanks for making this vid!
The Keweenaw and Copper Harbor holds a special place in my heart but when it comes to legal off-roading with a 4x4 it’s pretty unfriendly you’ll go through it pretty quickly. Like Northern Wisconsin it holds tons of rugged offroading trails only for snowmobiles, 4 wheelers, motorcycles and side by sides. I’ve pretty much seen it all and have to move west with my travels.
I’m surprised I didn’t see you at High Rock. I was camped there at the same time. I love it in the UP, perhaps I’ll see you next time to say hello. Your videos were a huge influence on me while building out my rig this year.
I did my first solo off-roading trip Up to the UP 2020September in a stocked jeep and thought I was badass until I saw a Chevy equinox already parked at High rock bay😂😂😂
great video! I always wondered though why people keep revealing secret gems. Becasue of social media ive seen multiple places to camp in the keweenaw that WERE ABSOLUTLY INCREDIBLE closed due to overuse and idiots.. its sad. I miss the old keweenaw.. Definitly following your channel though , great content!
I can't win either way. Last video I said I wasn't sharing and had several people call me out for it! This time I figured since a lot of the people up there rely on tourism that it could help out.
Hey, Chris, love your photography! I totally get where you are saying. I do think that the cat is out of the bag on the Keweenaw though, and at this point, I want overlanders and ethical adventurers to know about these places. We have partnered with the Keweenaw Outdoor Recreation Coalition (KORC) to clean up, preserve access and prevent closure of trails and are helping empty the trash bins that KORC installed (the folks with the orange trash bags in this video are our people pitching in at the inaugural KORC Beach Cleanup.) I miss the old Keweenaw, too, and am at times annoyed that I do not have the old places to myself, but we need help working with a new reality to help keep it wild and open. Much love, see you out there.
as a local.... we welcome the shared interest of the beautyful keweenaw.... just wish the visitors would leave their milwaukee driving attitude at home ...and slow down and enjoy the scenery
@@RevereOverland Ah well it's not mind blowing. Would have visited. The effort you put in is showing. Your videos do show your progression. As well as time spent traveling. 💯
Great vid as always! Drone stuff was really nice on this. I've been researching the area for a trip. The trail you guys did in the morning after staying at high rock bay looks like a good one. From what I can tell it's missing from the Gaia track? Track posted is all main roads into Gay. Any info would be appreciated ty! @infocusnyc
Great video!!!
Sully is in so much of the video lol
@@TheDOOMSHADES I think Rob has a crush on him. 😂

Ahh, I just saw the part where you had your window down going through the puddle, :D.
Wow I’ve lived in Michigan my entire life and have been to Copper Harbor many times and never knew those trails or petroglyphs existed.👍
Thanks a bunch for sharing your tracks
The Up flag is made of wet socks ,local bird, mosquito. True, Great footage.

Awesome! We were tucked away in the trees overnight so we weren't in the wind!
You're videos are always so good and informative 👏
Was nice meeting you at the Expo mate!
Looks like a lot of fun up there.
So much to do, so little time!
Good stuff. I always love your videos. Keep up the good work. I'm a Jeep guy, but I love all these rigs. The Toyota's are pretty slick!
Until they get stuck on the rock the Jeep made it over ;)
Nice shirt, love the huckleberry bear claws at the bakery there.
Same! They're fantastic!
Very nice adventure 👍
Spent childhood camping up there. 😍
Beautiful area!

You wouldn't believe how many times I'm out filming what I think is a really remote destination and a Honda CRV rolls through my shot!
Great video man! Hope all is well
