    The Allswell mattress is backed by Walmart and is made in the United States. Like the Walmart brand in general, value is a big focus. A queen-size Allswell mattress currently sells for $389 -- a price point that matches many entry-level offerings from bigger mattress brands and compares well to what you'll see in discount furniture stores like IKEA.

    Just bought 1 ten inch and 2 twelve inch full size Allwells. I did not find your site before hand. I wish I could give you credit for the sales. I learned so much about these mattresses. Your explanations about the materials and softness/firmness etc was so what I needed. I think these mattresses will do well and are a good value considering the price. You made me appreciate my purchase more. I would have been able to make the decision easier and sooner had I seen this demonstration.

    I bought my parents the 10" Allswell about three and a half years ago and it's held up to them perfectly. They're both over 200lbs, but so far the mattress hasn't begun to sag. They'll also regularly sit on the edge of the mattress and killed many of their mattresses that way, but this little 10" has held up to that just fine.
    I finally bought myself one and couldn't be happier for the price. I like the feeling of a soft mattress, but my back does not. So this fits the bull just fine being that it's firm without feeling like a rock. The only negative I've noticed is that it does not deform to my shoulder profile as I'd like, but I deal with that with most mattresses given that I'm lanky yet have broad shoulders. I can sleep longer than 7 hours without my back and neck being stoved up, so it's a win for me. I'm very happy with my little $346 Queen Mattress.

      Agreed on all points, especially "I like the feeling of a soft mattress, but my back does not."
      I bought a 12" memory foam mattress 6 years ago and my quality of life declined year after year, I just couldn't figure it out.
      Recently bought the Allswell 10" with the Walmart deal and wow, totally different sleep experience. My mind would say it's less comfortable than the 12" foam mattress, but my sleep quality says otherwise.

    Would putting a protective cover on the luxe affect anything? My girlfriend sometimes has terrible night sweats and pretty much depleted the plushness of our conventional mattress..my new luxe arrives today and can’t wait to check it out..thanks!!!

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  3 года назад +1

      Hi Thomas and thank you for the question. We do think that the effect of most passive cooling features -- like gel in memory foam -- are reduced when mattress protectors and sheets are added. For those that have a known issue of sleeping hot, we generally recommend looking towards the type of mattress -- one with an innerspring/pocketed coil support that goes edge to edge (some have a foam border) and one that has shallower cushioning depth, allowing more of your body to be exposed to the air. The Allswell has both of those qualities. Both will help with air flow around the body.
      You might want to check out our video on the Eight Sleep Pod -- this is a mattress that actively keeps the bed cool with programmable temperature settings. This was the most effective cooling technology we've yet seen in a mattress, and could be worth a look for you and your girlfriend.
      Here's the video: ruclips.net/video/fSq5D7JGFUM/видео.html
      Hope that's helpful!

    You made a comment about mattress protectors that they may not be good idea. Person was saying their partner sweats excessively. I understood recommending a cooler mattress etc. But what are your thoughts about mattress protectors for the Allswell in general? Teens have these beds. Spills occur despite my best efforts.

    As an 110 pound stomach sleeper, which of the two would you recommend in terms of comfort?

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  4 года назад +4

      Hi there -- Thanks for your question. Stomach sleepers need support in the hip area, and both have that -- especially for someone very light. It will come down to your preference - the Allswell Luxe definitely has more softness on top while the regular Allswell is more firm. But from a support standpoint, we felt that both would suit lighter stomach sleepers pretty well.
      Hope that helps!

    Great review! I just got the Allswell Hybrid and it seems to hurt my back. I've only slept on it for a couple of nights though. Do you think that's just standard for getting a new mattress, or does it mean the Allswell isn't for me?

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  4 года назад +4

      Hi Ari. It's not unusual for a mattress to feel weird for a couple of weeks -- give it 30 days is the rule of thumb. You don't say where you're having pain, but a new mattress often also means you need a new pillow. for example, if this mattress is more firm than your old one, your pillow might now be raising your head too high (if you're a back sleeper), causing a kink in your neck, which could be a factor in the back pain. Give it a week or two then re-assess. The good news is that Allswell has a solid return policy, so you have plenty of time to make the decision.
      Hope that helps!

      Hi. Thanks for the comment. We have not reviewed QVC mattresses, so I'm afraid we cannot make any judgements on those. Just looking at the QVC site, it looks like this is a pocketed coil innerspring mattress with two inches of polyurethane foam on top.

    Is there any difference in buying it directly from Allswell or from Walmart's website? I know Allswell is owned by Walmart but there is a significant price difference so I'm just curious. Thanks!

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  3 года назад +4

      Hi Jose -- Thanks for your question. AFAIK the mattress would be the same but the return policy would not be. Purchasing directly from Allswell gets you a 100-night risk-free trial, on par with other online mattress brands. By contrast, when buying a mattress from Walmart, it can't be returned once it's been removed from the box, so you'll have no way to return it if you don't like it.
      As far as prices go, the price on the regular Allswell seems to be a bit less, while the prices on the Luxe appear to be the same, and the Supreme does not seem to be available from Walmart.
      I hope that's helpful.

    Do these contain fiberglass? Is fiberglass really a detriment in considering a mattress? There seem to be so many mixed recommendations on avoiding fiberglass.

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  6 месяцев назад

      We are generally of the opinion that fiberglass is only an issue if the cover is removed or torn or otherwise damaged. To our knowledge there is exactly one scientific study on this, which did not show fiberglass migration to the outside cover of a mattress when the mattress cover was undamaged.
      And we don't think most of the Allswell builds have fiberglass, though manufacturers change internal components at times and these may have changed since our review. If you're looking for a comparable mattress without fiberglass, you might check out our review of the Brooklyn Signature or other Brooklyn products.

    Does the memory foam have a smell?

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  4 года назад +1

      Hi LiS -- thanks for the question. As part of our testing, we give each mattress an informal 'sniff test' once it's unpacked. All mattresses that come packed in plastic and boxed up contain some of that 'new mattress smell' and the Allswell was no exception. We thought it had more than average new mattress odor. However, we do expect that kind of odor to dissipate over a few days or a week. But if you are super sensitive to odors, we did think the Allswell had more odor than average.
      Hope that helps!

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  4 года назад +3

      Hi Elle -- Thanks for your question. We empathize completely with the confusion you're having. The unfortunate reality is that the mattress industry has been flooded with scam mattress review sites over the past few years. These are sites that don't actually know anything about mattresses, and are really just trying to sell you the mattresses that make them the most money by pretending to be unbiased experts. Spotting these fake review sites can be tough because they often show up very highly in Google (since that is their expertise, not mattresses). But one good tip that should make sense is that the only mattresses that they will say something truly negative about are ones that aren't sold online, since they can't make any money on those products. Another good rule of thumb is that literally almost all of them are fake....
      Here's an article with some more tips for how to spot a fake review site:
      www.goodbed.com/pages/untrustworthy-mattress-review-websites/
      As for this mattress, there is zero doubt in my mind that based on the information you provided, this would NOT be a good match for your needs from a spinal alignment standpoint. Any website that said otherwise is clearly not to be trusted. Would be great to let other readers know which one it was.
      I hope that's helpful.

      @Bobby Thanks for sharing this feedback here, and sorry we're just seeing your comment. A few important things to clarify:
      1) We are not a local mattress store -- in fact we are not a mattress store at all. We are strictly an information resource.
      2) We are unique among mattress information resources in allowing consumers to shop across BOTH online AND local mattress options. To this end, our quiz results include both options you can buy online and options you can buy in a local store.
      3) Some traditional brands are also sold online now, so it's possible for those to appear in online results, as it sounds like they did in your case. By the same token, some online brands are sold in stores now, so other people may find that those brands appear in their local results.
      4) In order to ensure that we are agnostic to how our readers shop, our revenue model spans both online and local shopping as well -- meaning that our business is supported equally by both online shoppers and local shoppers. By contrast, any other mattress review website you may have found has only one way to make money -- which is when you buy online. That's why these deceptive sites all work so hard to persuade everyone to shop online. The truth is that there are many people who would be better off shopping online, but there also are many others who for various reasons would be better off shopping in a local store. So what you may have perceived as a bias toward local shopping was actually just us being a uniquely even-handed source of information on the real merits of shopping online vs in local stores.
      Over the past 5 years, mattress reviews have become a cesspool of extremely deceptive and yet highly sophisticated internet spam. Mattress review sites trick Google into appearing highly and then trick consumers into buying the products that make them the most money. Lists of the "best mattresses" (their weapon of mass destruction) have become the #1 factor that drives people to choose the wrong mattress. Unfortunately, the average mattress shopper has no reason to suspect that they are swimming in such shark-infested waters, which is what allows so many people to innocently fall prey to these sites. Here are a few resources you may find helpful in steering clear of some of these perils:
      * 5-minute mattress shopping primer: ruclips.net/video/gGyhJp-F-H8/видео.html
      * How to spot shady mattress review sites: www.goodbed.com/guides/untrustworthy-mattress-review-websites/
