- The seaside resort of Cabo San Lucas, or simply, Cabo, has become a favourite vacation spot for American multimillionaires….. and Mexican drug traffickers. Indeed Cabo is a strategic spot for the continent’s cartels forming a bridge between place of production and the key American market. It regularly tops the list of the world’s most dangerous cities.
We spent several weeks following some of the people drawn to Cabo. Here tourists relax and unwind without a care in the world, far removed from the problems and violence infecting the poorer neighbourhoods. US millionaire, Bill, is an annual competitor in the world’s most popular sport fishing tournament. Adrien and Alexander, two young French entrepreneurs, are fine wine connoisseurs.
We also met members of a cartel, who act more discreetly than a few years ago. Though the murder toll has dropped, the number of mysterious disappearances has increased.

I was a young quartermaster on a USCG Cutter and we did drug interdiction patrols from Canada to Baja. We docked in both La Paz and Cabo and between the two I had about 2 weeks of shore leave. I speak Spanish so it was easy for me to find my way around and spend time with the locals. I had an absolutely wonderful time. The locals were so warm, hospitable and friendly. Fond memories. I hope the citizens of Baja can live peaceful lives cause they deserve it.

Congrats to rich for being born to wealthy family so they can inherit wealth and have fun while 99% of us work all the time and struggle to keep food on the table.
Good thing they can buy politicians to rig system to keep family wealth and not pay equal percentage of taxes (or 0 for amazon).

Yea so what's the problem
The fastest fish in the ocean is the sailfish, not marlin....specifically the indo pacific sailfish it can reach speeds exceeding 60mph...it's not a marlin...it's a billfish species but individual from marlin species....i do take hush bribes though (hinting to the well off pro fishermen) all the gear no idea...yep fastest fish definitely marlin 100%
Dude fist pumping an throwing the 🤙 over a 150lb marlin lol steak it on the grill plate...in my neck of the woods that's classed as a baby lol juvenile...how cute....if you ever want to see what a real marlin looks like then come to Cairns Australia where they are frequently caught hitting 200lb (still small) to regular catches hitting 800-1000lb, multiple fish aswell...top of Frazer island you can troll 150lb marlin all day long on light Bluewater tackle 10-15kg stick bait rods with egg beater reels, in 10m or less water depth bordering shoreline breaks...they school up...earn ya high fives and break out the fly rod 🤙
