Unnamed, lesser known peaks are some of my favorites. No trails, no solid beta, sometimes you can't even find anyone that's climbed it before online or otherwise. But dang, it makes for a great adventure, even if you don't make it to the top or plans go a bit south. Love your channel man, you're a true fellow adventurer.
It's funny, this "Unnamed" peak has become a bit of a classic in the Rockies... High above the iconic Lake Louise on a ridge line featuring numerous easily accessible peaks, it gets climbed quite often (especially by aspirin alpine guides). It is indeed a major bump on the ridge line, and with all the traffic, saying it's unnamed... is a bit of a misnomer... people in the Rockies know you mean this peak when you say Unnamed. Nearby Mount Victoria has two named peaks (north and south) but doesn't meet the prominence requirements to be considered 2 separate peaks... but alas, both peaks are in the 11 thousand foot range... and thus... each get its own designation, adding a peak to the tick list of 11,000ers of the Canadian Rockies.
@mikeshumanpoweredadventures Wow that's awesome! I'm only familiar with a handful of peaks around there, ones I've seen on maps or heard about. It's always cool to learn more about it. Still need to get my butt up to the banff area some day. I love the Rockies down in Montana & Idaho and the ones up in Canada look just as great if not better sometimes. Thanks for sharing man, look forward to seeing your next adventure 🔥
