    I find it very interesting and relaxing to watch someone else repot plants. They're going to grow like crazy in the new potting mix.

    I repotted today. I had made cuttings this winter, grew roots and then potted some together in a mixed arrangement to let them grow. Today I took all apart to get ready to give them away! I gave my rubber plant a hair cut and potted those as well. Busy day and so fun!

    My favorite is the zz. I also have a big zz that has the black and green combined because they were in small pots when I got them. The feather trellis really looked pretty with the shingle plant. Have a blessed day Carmen.

    Hi Carmen. Before watching your channel I never would have bought indoor plants at a Big Box store. Two days ago I went to Home Depot with my husband. Underneath a shelf in the back of the tray I found a wish list plant- a variegated Joseph's Coat in a 3.5" pot for $5.98. The pot has 3 nice size pieces in it so I was thrilled! Thank you!!!😊

    I just gave my shingling plant away. One of many that need to find new homes. I’m feeling overwhelmed… I say that but I got three new ones yesterday 🤦🏼‍♀️ my wishlist list was found and bought! I sent you a picture on IG.
    You make repotting look easy. 😊

    Happy Memorial Day Carmen🇺🇸. You scored great deals on the zz, the fiddle and the shingle. The mesh plugs, ugh, my local farm stand also sells house plants with them, they are so annoying and can really stunt the growth and strangle the roots. Im glad you were able to free the shingle plant from it. I wasn’t aware that costa farms also used plugs, I’m going to repot my white knight and lemon meringue from them when my soil arrives, thanks for the heads up. Your new plant babies are really going to take off now🥰🫶

      I was really surprised to find them. I couldn't see them until I took the plant out. But, I'm sure it's so much happier now. Happy Memorial Day to you as well!

    Wow wow that stalk on Raven is so thick. Never seen them so thick only on the regular green ones. Where did you just purchase it. Just bought 4 Chameleon ZZ keeping 2 and the other 2 for my brother. We had root root when it came from Costa Farm in Dec to our house. Both pot rotted away. His is the last time we trying again. We just repot them since they were too damp again. Wish us luck.

    HI Carmen, I'm really interested in seeing how your Dubai does. I received a Dubai cutting which is busy growing good roots. It was an extra gift from the local plant group! Also just wondering why you're keeping your fiddle inside? They love love LOVE to be outdoors in heat and humidity (with proper acclimation!)! Maybe you don't want her to get too large! but the bambino's are typically smaller, they aren't 'tree's like the lyrata! Your bargains look great, good luck with them!!!

      I may move the fiddle bambino to the patio this summer, thanks for the suggestion. sometimes I still think I'm in Phoenix where I couldn't put any of these plants outside, unless they were cacti or succulents. LOL!

    Good Afternoon Carmen. Did you reach out to TreLeaf Shop about the rotted wooden trellis? I think they would want to replace it, as you are one of their advertising channels. I don’t use cache pots, so I’ve repurposed my white glazed Costa Farms containers for serving dishes in our kitchen.

    Thank you for sharing! I have a question...do you repot every new plant you bring home from the store? I bring them home and they are doing well and I am afraid to disturb them?

    • @carmenwhitehead
      @carmenwhitehead  Год назад

      No, not every one. If they are in only coco coir type soil, then yes. If I see they have roots growing out the bottom or dry out very quickly, then I'll give them fresh soil and a bigger pot. It all depends. Thanks for watching.
