I bought a pumpkin android10, put all the wires in, then spent about an hour and half trying to push the unit in. It's the metal cage that was stopping it, so I had to take it out. Now there's nothing holding it in. It's slightly bigger than original one so it needs extra space on top.
Update, I cut the top off the cage and stuck the sides on with double sided tape. Now it fits perfectly.
Is it that metal black cage all around the outer space that needs removing?
@@griefcs There wasn't enough room at the top so I cut the top off the cage and put the sides in with double sided tape. This allowed it to fit.

Very handy video lad. Annoying thing is the site claims it is compatible with Corsas up to 2011. My Corsa Ecoflex is a 2013 model but the head unit looks identical to your old one! A lot of mo wy to spend on a "hope it works".
It does work, my Sxi is 63 plate and fits same, all interior is same in the D models
*** IMPORTANT TIP: in order to make it sit flush you MUST remove the old bracket holder that is inside the gap in the dash using a screwdriver to pry it out. Otherwise it does not sit flush and you will break it.***
what do you mean the old bracket holder?
@@herrlip72 think it's the Metal cage from the old stereo. I had to remove mine cos it wouldn't fit. But then there's nothing securing the unit in so I cut the top off the cage and put the sides in with double sided tape, it still sticks out a little bit at the bottom but it's secure.

Brilliant video, Ive been looking into getting one of these, but worried I was gonna waste my money. I have a Corsa 63 plate, have same stereo you just replaced, I have a couple of questions... What's the purpose of the WIFI? All them cables you have there, did they come with the pumpkin stereo? Is that stereo actually installed all the way in, because it looks like its hanging out.
Great video mate! I’ve just bought this head unit and the car play dongle for my 13 plate corsa. Just wondering if you disconnected the battery while fitting it. Also will I be able to connect my hotspot to the head unit without having the WiFi cable thingy you put at the top of your windscreen plugged in as you mentioned it not being very powerful so I don’t see the point of me connecting mine up unless you have to have it plugged in, in order for you to connect it to a hotspot. Hope this made sense. Thanks
I wouldn’t bother personally wiring up and messing about with the WiFi it’s a waste of time to be brutally honest just use your hotspot the WiFi that comes doesn’t do anything it’s not even powerful enough to use navigation on it so I really wouldn’t waste your time also with the battery situation I didn’t disconnect the battery 🔋 I just left it but didn’t switch the car on until I’d fully fitted it hope this helped mate good luck with the product 😁 💯

Can you please tell me if I need to remove the inner steel “box” which holds the original radio? I can’t push the unit fully into the space. It’s about half an inch out.
Yes take it off it’ll damage the radio mate
@@yt_brandonemBEM didn’t take mine out at all, removed it a few times, everything still works fine, as long as you don’t force it there will still be a lip but nothing annoying

Hello, I have a similar Android stereo but I can't figure out how to turn it off completely. Holding the power button a few seconds turns off the screen but I feel like the thing is still on. Any advice?
I installed this exacted unit in an Astra H. I can get sound through the radio but no sound on Bluetooth or any other apps.
I believe it's something to do with the blue (ANT) wire.
Any idea where it is supposed to be connected to??

did you click on the “BT” app, that’s bluetooth music, i couldn’t get any sound to come out until i clicked on the app.

Salve, ho un probelma con questo stereo. Dopo un mese di funzione si spegne e non si accende più. Ho chiesto al mio venditore un reso, mi ha spedito un altro stereo e cambiando i cavi ha ripreso a funzionare. Ho letto da qualche parte che altre persone hanno avuto questo problema e l'hanno risolto con il tasto reset. Qualcuno può dirmi dove si trova? Oppure se ha risolto in qualche altro modo

Does this support spotify, and do i need to wire up the GPS part if i will be using hotspot. I have seen wiring up the wifi is not necessary for this but what about the GPS.
Yes you can download the app on the stereo itself by connecting it to your phone or by simply plugging a usb into your phone and connecting it to your stereo and yes you’ll need to wire up the gps so the hotspot has a stronger connection hope that all makes sense and has helped a little 😂
@@yt_brandonemBEM yes that’s helped a lot thank you. So is the usb thing that you bought as extra, is that necessary to play songs using Spotify or is it possible via Bluetooth
@@ambercox6615 the extra usb bit I bought you will have to buy aswell as an extra as the stereo is basically pointless without it and it comes with the SD card you need aswell , basically if you don’t have the usb you can’t access IOS or access the internet even if you’ve got hotspot that’s one thing I messed up on when I bought it as at the time I didn’t know either but yes you will need to buy it glad it’s helped 👍🏻

What happens with the buttons on the wheel that control the previous stereo? And can you still get the information on the little screen above such as MPG and range?
Hi mate the steering wheel buttons still work with the stereo just like they did on the original you can still turn the volume up and down and skip and go back with the skip buttons and you can still answer calls etc. and yes you can still see MPG on the little screen ! Hope this helped !
Can you download the RUclips video app onto the stereo so you can play videos using hotspot on my android phone
Yes or you can go onto Google chrome that’s already downloaded onto the stereo and go onto RUclips from there mate but you can still download it

@@darrenmicklewright2008 you’ll have to buy the auto pumpkin stereo and the other item I’ve linked in the description if you click on it it’ll take you to the other part you will need to buy as it comes with the sd card and apple car play mode for the stereo to actually work as it won’t work properly without the sd card then you’ll be able to use the mirror option

@@darrenmicklewright2008 you just need to buy the SD card but i don’t think you can buy it on its own I think it just comes with the adapter you’ll need the sd card so it works with hotspot and the mirror thing you don’t need the card but you won’t be able to access the internet with your hotspot without the card

Don’t bother plugging in the WiFi thing it doesn’t work anyway , so just use your hot spot
The WiFi works just obviously you need to be parked where you can receive it. There’s no open WiFi floating about but you can connect when parked up at home or out. Alternatively you can get some that take a 4g sim

Just not fully push back in yet because he's going to install the reversing cam in a later video... saves having to put the keys back in to remove the unit ( can be a little difficult to do sometimes)

Do you need to buy that usb to connect your phone to it? Or can u still connect an iPhone to the android?
You’ll need to buy the USB adapter mate which will also come with the sd card you’ll need aswell 👍🏻

Any one else having trouble with there hot spot not connecting to the radio, it seems to find my phone and save my hotspot but never connect to my phone so I can never use the navigation system. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please drop a reply.
