U mentioned about one year to get the maternity benefits from NHS, my wife completed 6 months in NHS as a staff nurse, she is one month pregnant now, By the time of delivery she will have completed total one year in NHS ,is that enough to have the maternity benefits? Thank u

Eligibility:
Employees must have 12 months’ continuous service with the NHS by the eleventh week before the expected week of childbirth (EWC)

If you resign during your maternity leave, you do not have to go into work during your notice period, you can remain on maternity leave. But if you resign after the end of your maternity leave, you should work your notice unless you have agreed to take annual leave or you need to take sick leave.
