what kind of hula hoop do you use? I have a hula hoop made of rattan and its really heavy and painful :( only tricks that are possible to do with my hoop is the basic hoop around the waist and also hooping at the ankles.
I train a lot in non-hoop resistance training (TRX, weights, medicine ball, etc) and prior to this with traditional stand-up martial arts (Kung Fu / Taekwondo) and dance (ballet / modern). There are a LOT of applicable benefits to using the hoops I can notice immediately! Thank you for posting this tutorial! I am a complete novice to the hoop but I can see right off the proverbial bat that using the hoop must force the user to RELAX, for lack of a better word, to accomplish movements with it. *I assume tensing and flexing the body would not work with the hoop. peace!
another transition you can do is neck to a one shoulder back to neck it is one of my favorite hoop tricks to do :) love you videos keep up the wonderful work hooper to hooper :)
Hi Would you please guide me for neck hooping. I am using heavy hoop for waist hooping but for neck the same hoop hurts. In this case how can I use same hoop. Unable to do waist hooping with light weight hoop
can kinda do this on my old huge heavy uncomfortable exercise hoop i bought right at the beginning but cant seem to put my hands inside my much faster polypro hoops which sucks practice i guess

I'm beginning to think that no RUclips hoop guru really wants anyone else to learn because none of you actually instruct or guide, you just demonstrate which isn't at all helpful and makes people like me quit after failing fifty times. NONE of the hoopers on youtube break anything down movement by movement. It's always, get a bigger hoop if its hard. Well that doesn't really help much. there are secrets you all aren't sharing and I think its on purpose to get people to buy whatever you sell.

I don't sell new hoops or props of any kind so I'm not making money on selling hoops or bigger hoops for that matter, other than the occasion once or twice a year I sell a few of my used hoops. I make the majority of my income through performing in person at events. Though I value your opinion, I disagree with you about my mission here on RUclips. I can't speak for other hoopers on the platform. I know you said that the bigger hoops don't help much. Have you tried to do this trick using a larger hoop preferably one that comes up to your chest or higher in diameter? If you have tried that hoop size and still fail, then I would ask, how are you at your waist neck hooping. Are you able to keep the hoop up on those body spots for long periods of time?

Every time I do it the hoop falls down how do I I stop it from falling

I have a 2.5lbs hoop cld I still do this safely, I can do a lot of other tricks with it but haven't tried this yet.?
