    Thank you for your video. Can you tell me how to re-pin crystals that don’t have a straight hole? I have some beautiful prism lengths where the pin hole is bent or curved, it’s not straight through and I can’t get a new pin through that bent hole!! Thanks very much!!

      I'm so sorry... I didn't receive a notification of your question and here we are a year later. You have to bend a pin into a large curve - almost like a suture and work it through a bit a time. I want to try to do a video soon.

    Hi. Can you tell me what king of pin won’t get rusted or at least last longer . Thank you so much .

      Hi Bill. The plain clips seem to be the hardiest. Though, there is no guarantee. Most pins are made of brass (to be pliable) and then plated if necessary, so the plating comes off or the brass turns. It is frustrating.

      Freddy Z why don't people answer their RUclips videos? I've been trying to find them too. Tired of fake plastic crystals.

      The highest grades of crystal will say Swarovski. Asfour is another brand that isn't acrylic. Other than those 2 brands, there isn't a brand name to guarantee that you are purchasing crystal. Most crystals no longer have lead, so they feel a bit different than they used to feel. My best advice is to read descriptions thoroughly to make sure the quality is described and you see the words glass or crystal.

    can you please k9 crystal and s4 crystal

    • @Chandeliercompany
      @Chandeliercompany  3 года назад +1

      K9 is a type of Chinese hanging crystal - nice, refractive. But, these days "crystal" is all over the place in terms of description and ingredients, so I encourage you to take into account the attributes of the entire fixture and not just the label on the hanging components.

      @@Chandeliercompany I should make a video of the chandelier I'm restoring right now I got it relatively inexpensive on eBay it's a 1940's lightolier 5 light Bohemian Waterford cut crystal it seems to be rather high quality crystal. it looks identical to my Waterford glasses in fact.I was even able to locate the original brochure from manufacturer.
      I've restored several other chandeliers before including one that I paid about $100 for on eBay a current model 6 arm Swarovski/schonbeck called Arlington . the Crystal on this vintage one is much finer quality than what they gave in the newer one it was only just a few large drops that are wood wheel polished and had sharp facets all the rest were just fire polished aka melted smooth no sparkle. I can't wait to get this one together I think it should look pretty amazing actually
