Which Schrute Family Tradition do you uphold?
First clip for sure
The shunning one.
The traditional schrute bride kidnapping
the corn husk dolls making
I'm German and was actually read Struwwelpeter as a child (and loved it)
“I’ve been raising children since I was a baby” always kills me
How are u alive
@@aydren220 how are YOU alive?
😂
LOL
But why would the youngest be in charge of watching and caring for the rest wouldn't everyone then be older than them and probably more capable
I like how Dwight's sister is the only sane one in the family.
She’s too normal 😂
Knowing they were trying to set up a spin-off show she was probably supposed to be the straight man of the family
She did seem slightly neurotic
She's HOT.
Her Child Deserves To Learn About Nature
When you consider what Dwight’s family is like. No wonder Dwight became the weirdo we all know and love.
@My Cancer Journey Skill issue
Its a tv show...
I love how they explained that during the course of the show
Excuse me, weirdo? Can you skin a mule deer and run as fast as a mongoose? No didn’t think so judge mcsjudgy pants
Shinned from age 4-6 would affect a person pretty substantially
The first tradition is perfect every time. I commend Oscar for lasting two shots before leaving.
I would’ve left the moment I saw the shotgun
I just wish Jim was there because he probably would’ve never pranked Dwight again after that.
And now Dwight has broken the Shrute tradition with his first child being named Philip.
He was the youngest - so there’s still time for the tradition 😉
Dwide Schrude 😂
Technically, Angela named the baby, I'm sure even the state senator didn't have a say in it!
I finished the office a while ago and I was so confused how the dna test came back negative did Angela pay someone off 😭
@RubyRedS1ippers Apperantly, she was onto Dwight and changed something about the diaper.
Der Struwwelpeter (Shaggy Peter) is indeed a real German children's book from 1845 (not 1864). It comprises of ten illustrated and rhymed stories, mostly about children. Each has a clear moral that demonstrates the disastrous consequences of misbehavior in an exaggerated way. The story he was reading is called Die Geschichte vom Daumenlutscher. Other stories include Die Geschichte von dem wilden Jäger (about a hare that steals a musket), Die gar traurige Geschichte mit dem Feuerzeug (about a girl playing with matches), Struwwelpeter (about a boy who doesn't groom himself properly), and Die Geschichte vom fliegenden Robert (about a boy who flies into the air with an umbrella).
I actually had this book when I was a kid.
Same haha
@@moritzkrimmel463 me too
Woww!!!!!😮😂 No way!
I have a copy of that book handed down to me from my great grandmother to my grandmother to my mother to me
Fun fact: The Schrutes being Amish and Beet farmers was never supposed to be in the story. Rainn Wilson improvised the scenes where he explained that he had a beet farm and was an Amish and the writers just incorporated it into his character
I love Erin's mood change in the dirt scene
Considering the upbringing he had, Dwight is a lot more normal than I expected.
It’s funny that dwight comes from an Amish background and works on a beet farm but also is an accomplished paper salesman and plays world of Warcraft. The actor does such a great job making this insane character work because he totally shouldn’t
“Learn your rules, you better learn your rules, if you don’t you’ll be eaten in your sleep, RAH”💀💀💀
I loved that surprising Dwight ‘the baby whisperer’ storyline in the Viewing Party episode. Dwight to Jim, ‘beer me’❤️
"Gentle!" Lol
"uh-uh, crust first..."
You should listen to The Office Ladies podcast for this episode. Apparently the actor who plays Dwight, could actually calm the crying baby. The baby always fussed with Jenna and immediately calmed down when Rainn held her!
5:10 He starts counting with his thumb as one, which is very common in Germany. In the US the index finger is usually used for one. A cool nod to his psudo-german cultural background.
After watching inglorious bastards, I will never forget this
My godfather always counted like that and explained it to me. Years later when I watched inglorious bastards and saw him him count using index finger first I knew he messed up before it was explained and felt smart for once
Well we do count by starting with the thumb also in France. I don’t understand why you would start with a finger between 2 others ^^
I could never count that way my third finger never rises up
I'm pretty sure most European countries uses the thumb as one ;)
Amish wedding lore: While the Amish don't actually get married in their graves, they do have a thing where the bride doesn't just wear her wedding dress for the wedding. Once she's married, her wedding outfit will become her Sunday church attire, and she will also be buried in the same dress when she dies. The bride and her attendants also wear capes and aprons over their dresses. Instead of a veil, the bride wears a black prayer covering to differentiate from the white cap she wears daily. And the bride must wear black high-topped shoes. No one in the bridal party carries flowers. All of the attendants in the wedding party play a vital role, but there is no best man or maid of honor as all are of equal importance.
@chandllerburse737 Yeah only they don’t give birth in hospitals so they’d wear their normal clothing.
That’s a cool tradition. Sounds like they value marriage very much
“Grave robbers discovered scratch markers” so underrated. Like wtf they told you they robbed the graves?
Must have been the Mannheims.
It's only polite to inform the family that the deceased was not initially deceased when buried.
Dude, when robbing a grave, you don't take the casket, lol. You only steal what they are wearing
Tbh if I was grave robbing and found scratch marks id leave a note I mean someone should know
@@clay5649 so you’re saying there is a chance you would rob a grave?
The loyal Schrute blood and calculating Manheim blood in Dwight explains so much about his character
It is a Schrute family tradition to watch every video uploaded to this channel. It is also a Schrute custom to like them and to subscribe to the channel
0:29 I love how thorough they are. Really making sure their dead
Schrutes: brag about not needing doctors to tell if people are dead
Also schrutes: bury people alive
Out of kindness they make sure the person is actually dead. So basically I'm dead as I'm a heavy sleeper lol
Chris Trager believes that the first human to reach 150 has already been born. But he was wrong that it would be himself, because it will actually be Dwight Schrute.
The writers could literally make up anything about the Schrute family and it would fit right in, Dwight's heritage is a comedic gold mine.
the fact that struwwelpeter is an actual children’s story that everyone got told when i was little and that is still sold in bookstores to this day (i’m 20 and austrian btw)💀💀
The scene at the funeral with the shotgun, I swear I replayed that scene 10 times the first time watching! Perfect in every way
Made me laugh the hardest.
I always find it weird that Angela wasn't invited to Dwight's aunt's funeral when she helped take care of her right before her death
I think the fact she broke his heart multiple times didn’t help.
@@halyketarrant There's also some theory that Angela might've killed Aunt Shirley as revenge for Sprinkles.
@@genevieve7676 Really? Well I wouldn't put it past Angela! she's straight-up crazy and narcissistic tried to have a Hitman take Oscar out
@@BuffaloNickel9 yeah but to be frank I find that stupid, totally exaggerated and out of character, like most things in the last two seasons.
@@genevieve7676 wtf really? Never heard of it. Anyway she was way too catholic to something like that and also in love again with Dwight at that point, so I don’t find it plausibile.
I think The Farm is an underrated episode. Maybe not the spin off the writers hoped for, but it had some really great moments.
Which ones is the farm episode?
@@eliser19 the one where his aunt dies and you meet his siblings
Seeing episodes where Dwight is managing his farm always get me in the mood to play some farm simulator and harvest beets
season 9 episode 17@@eliser19
Too bad they didn’t get that spinoff.
For a quirky and weird guy Dwight got a lot of action.
That was apparently Mindy Kaling's doing, she says in a director commentary or a behind the scenes (can't remember which), that she had the idea that Dwight would be very attractive to a lot of women, because he's independently minded, has resources, and is tall and strapping.
Looking at it (somewhat) realistically, he carries himself with a lot of confidence. That alone makes his kind of man attractive to a lot of women, in my experience.
His action was mostly in the traditional types. If it was someone like kelly that was very modern and consumerist then it wouldn’t happen. And that shows his value as a person as well.
4:24 One of my favorite scenes
3:21 Dwight educating kids abouts Nazi's
6:01 Dwight telling about his 103-year-old German grandfather living in Argentinga
That's sus😅
YEP! Another relative, I think a grandfather, had been in an "Allied" prison camp in WWII 😂
it's almost like that was the joke, Captain Obvious. Wait til he learns what Shoah means, and why the Shoah Foundation would protest his travel Visa. He'll understand the whole joke!
@@maxdecphoenix Haha very funny 😐. There’s no need to be such a jerk about it
the shoah foundation is an organization that helps holocaust survivors, Dwight's Manheim side is his nazi side
schrute is amish, german but from way back
I love how the Schrute's are shunned even by graverobbers.
‘What color is it?’ And ‘yup, acidic all right’ cracks me up 😂
1:04 every time i see dwight walking with that cup, it reminds me of the cup of shame lmao
I love how they all just let him throw dirt at them.
Jim- the suite looks nice dwight
Dwight-yeah, my grandfather was buried in it
Jim and pam-👁️👄👁️
4:27 that scene was so touching and emotional..!!🤍🥺
8:17 This was really a bestie moment
I just realised the only person they haven't had a birthday party for is Dwight.
They never did Jim’s, Pam’s, Oscar’s, Angela’s, Kevin’s. So yeah it wasn’t just Dwight’s. His birthday however was January 20th
Schrute's don't celebrate birthdays, idiot. It started as a depression era practicality and now something he looks forward to every year.
The funniest thing about this story is how the grave robbers reported the claw marks
Ah, Dwight Schrute, the Assistant to the Regional Manager, the beet farmer, and the ultimate "weirdo" of Dunder Mifflin! Have you ever noticed how he always carries a beeper around? I mean, what year is it, Dwight? Are you expecting a fax too? Maybe he's secretly a time traveler stuck in the '90s! Or, more likely, he just really loves feeling important and hearing that beep, beep, beep all day long. Classic Dwight!
That red or black dirt is the best traditional of them all 😂
What Kramer gave Seinfeld, Dwight has given to The Office...
VERY Well put
I love the quote from Phyllis’s wedding where Dwight says they get married in their on graves, because in the final episode he and Angela did indeed get married in their own graves.
This will never get old
Unloading on his dead aunt is horrific and hilarious 😂
My favorite is the Belsnickel episode. Dwight played the part so well
6:11 oh man I never saw this part, dudes grandpa used ratte lines
The office ladies just rewatched Search Committee Pt1 today where Dwight’s resume says he’s Dwight III, and they couldn’t recall where that was referenced before. Probably got confused by the DWIDE SCHRUDE
First time I see the part where he mentions the mix of the Schrutes and the Mannheim in his blood
You can't not love Dwight... 😂
just finished the series. Im gonna miss this epic show :(
dont you worry..you will rewatch it many times
@O❤❤😅NCEuponAtime999
The schrutes was the off spin deserved but never got
“My condolences” “keep them” so sassy lmao
That ending was cut perfectly!
this may remain Rainn's best performance when he goes, and that's ok
When he screams in the end... OMG
Sometime when Dwight talks calmer he sounds like Jason Morgan from general hospital
When are you moving to Costa Rica where you'll have no internet?
0:32 oscar’s “that’s it for me” came after the second shot💀💀💀💀
He said he has been raising children since he was a child. So his aunt did not raise him. It must be a Schrute tradition to say kind things about the dead.
AS a Shrute,I can assure you, all these traditions are true
I have to adopt some of these traditions. Someday my grandchildren will look back and be glad that they have to make their way to the crematorium to get their wedding photo taken
1:46 The man in the chair is the same man that runs the funeral home in Job Fair. "Too much formaldehyde!"
Flagged by the Shoah foundation and can't go Argentina to visit his uncle, that hidden gem not many would get.
How about when Dwight dresses as the weird guy on Christmas who either gives gifts or something bad
I think they'd be friends with Boyle cousins.
Love the Shrute traditions.😂
Me too
"Dwight Shrute Is Manager!"
Learn your rules, you better learn your rules. If you don't you'll be eaten in your sleep!
That dirt toss on Jim was very personal
No joke - my aunt read my sister and me the Tailor/ thumb sucking story! That is a real thing.
3:24 “Nazi war criminal grandmother” 😂😂😂
"New glasses."
He's the best.
Sasha nods.
I fell off my chair
This might be the best video on RUclips
his family has more history than the white house lol
3:20 when michal knows it was going to far lol
3:42 Oh yes, the best Schrute tradition... it is practically a life lesson, the grace of grease!
(edit: 4:24 Kevin Rowland stole the Schrutes' sound and style to create the second version of Dexys Midnight Runners - "Come on Eileen" was inspired by one of Dwight's stories about a member of the family)
3:11 unironically, some people from the generation before me have gotten these stories when they were little.
"I miss her so much. Uuuuurrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!" 😂😂😂
My condolences! KEEP THEM
They didn't eat the the children and never came to that😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
We need some schrute families in real life
Ive never identified more with a fictional character
*Has German grandfather in Argentina*
*His visa was protested by the Sho'ah foundation*
Nothing fishy here.
When he mixes the dirt with the coffee that close up always cracks me up
last one was personal .. ok who am i kidding, ofc it was
Dwight have some kooky traditional family stuff
Throwing a coffee dirt ball at Jim! LOL
Phyllis taking the soil is priceless.
1:23 LMAO I just understood this.
Oscar is the real one attended the funeral
1:18-2:39 is that why he always interacts with the all the kids
There is no why 😂 His character in the show is like that only 😂
@@sankalpjaret2043 put rainn Wilson in pg movies all of them
@@vivianaespinoza5281 😂😂😂😂
0:31 - the most controversial funeral in history of TV.
“I can raise my cholesterol at will”
…Maud’dib?
the dirt baaaalll!! I had forgotten about that...
1:55 What episode is this?
4:15 What's up with Dwight's eye?
Slightly acidic soil❤😂😂😂😂😂😂
All non German people should know that „strubbelpeter“ is intact real and much more horrifying as pictured. I hated this book so much
someone pay the man that came up with this video idea!
the funeral tradition💀
Be ware of grandpa Mannheim whose still puttering down in Argentina, he's at least 103😂
I love a family generation that maintain traditions
