every character in this show has something good and bad about them and to be honest i think that’s normal.. at the end of the day.. we are just human. often we learn from our mistakes, sometimes we don’t, or we never. and it takes time.

With all the hatred this character recieved Sydney as an actress is phonomenal, she'll make it big in Hollywood. And if not I'll forever watch Sydney with a sad sigh. Her beauty and energy flows into her acting that a lot of viewers felt the hatred and sadness.

If Rue can have a redemption arc every 3 episodes because *uh drugs, it wasn't me*, Cassie must have one too!
It was so sad that Lexi and her mother didn't have the ability to empatize with her at all... If something like this happens to a close person IRL you must support that person too (Obviously is not OK to fuck your friends ex).
In this season of Euphoria Cassie screamed for help every minute on screen and nobody took a second to understand her and ask "Girl are you okay? How are you feeling? Do you need something? I'm here for you" because their lifes are more important than Cassie's, so the only person that "cared" for her was Nate, a fucking spoiled asshole that only wanted to use her like her new puppet replacement. She thought he loved her because all she knew was that feeling loved meant being sexy and having sexual relationships and being insulted/despised.
In one of the two last episodes where she tells Nate "you can tell me how to dress, you can tell me who I can talk to etc etc...". That was made so the audience understood 100% that she was in a very toxic relationship and had a distorted vision of reality, her script is written so you can see that she has a big problem and needs help, or at least to suffer and then evolve a lot, developing her character further.
she even threatened suicide and her LITERAL MOTHER played it off as a joke and just continued lecturing her about fucking Nate

As someone who grew up with an older sister exactly like Cassie, I gotta tell you that they make it very hard to love them let alone sympathize with them. They constantly mentally and emotionally abuse you because they’re so wrapped up in their own pain that they can’t see how they’re hurting you. They also refuse to own up to their mistakes and will never listen to you when you do try to reach out to them. Growing up with a sibling like that is frustrating, exhausting, and emotionally draining. Even now, as an adult in my 30s, I know I will always love my big sister, but there’s good reasons for why we don’t talk much anymore.
So why I wouldn’t say Cassie is a bad person, just a very damaged one, I also don’t blame Lexi for calling her out on her bs through her play. Sometimes they push you to a point where you can’t take it anymore and you end up doing something crazy. Even more so since she’s a teenager and teens tend to lack the maturity to think about the repercussions of their actions.
I really wish Cassie get a more character development in S3 because seeing her character rn is sad

my god such a beautiful edit. Nate hurt them both and now they're hurting each other because they had such a close friendship and I can't even judge any of them two. Cassie is just insecure teenage girl with a very limited experience. I remember the feeling that every guy is a last guy because no one will ever love you again, because you're awful and you know it. And it seems SOOOO important to be in a relationship. She'll understand the value of a friendship over the sex with the hottest guy in the world later. I hope they both will get over him eventually

As a person , Cassie is someone who is lost in the imagination that maybe love is toxic maybe what love is controlling the other person , it’s being insulted or despised , she thinks every relationship needs someone sexy and sexual interaction but she doesn’t know what real love is cuz she’s never been really loved , she never really got the feeling because her father left her when she was teenager , because her mom and sister thought she was just being dramatic they didn’t really see what Cassie wanted , all she wanted was to feel safe under someone’s arm she wanted to be loved , everyone was so busy with their life’s they forgot to ask each other what was really wrong with others , the part where her mom told her that rue was a drug addict and her problem was much worst then Cassie , she was wrong the feeling of being lost in the darkness where u don’t know what u deserve what u truly want and what u will truly get , is much worse , because at the end of the day Cassie was also a human and she didn’t take drugs to heal herself but she allowed herself to be used for others desire …

Cassie longed for that warmth and someone to love, someone who appreciates her and her every part, holds her with kindness and completes her. Maddie had this independent aura and confidence that made her attractive, but deep inside, she longed for healthy love and relied on her friendships even more than her lover. Nate simply longed to belong to someone. He has become a toxic person who wanted something "normal" in life, a wife, some kids, and a simple home. He never had an assuring idea of a home, which is made even worse by his fragile ego and short temper. All three chased this butterfly named happiness in their own pursuits. But since their lives are intricately connected, none are happy in the end. A betrayal from a best friend, a break-up from a lover (to whom you have given your everything), and not being able to live with oneself caused the three of them to never be able to actually follow their pursuit of happiness. It always escaped from their hands. In the end, this sadness and anger permeated their life situations. This song perfectly depicts their situation.
